Carragher is supposed to be all for Liverpool but yet makes statements attacking Liverpool best player of the past decade. He could have been like Seedorf and tried to remedy the situation but instead acts like an asshat and inflames it to get views. Elmohamady summed it up perfectly.
No wonder we never won the EPL with Carragher as a defender. You only have to watch the first half of the 2005 champions league to see the quality of his defending. Embarrassing.
I do not blame Mo for speaking out after the quality of Liverpool's performances and how slot has them playing. It is terrible to watch, slow and goes against what makes Mo dangerous. He is human and has emotions but probably could have worded it better, but I have no doubt he has tried to raise issues in house but has met a brick wall.
VVD, Konate, Gravenberch, gapko and others could have been dropped for their performances but Mo has been the scapegoat for Slot, Edwards and Hughes. Theyade. for. tooany changes from a successful team.
Anybody that payed 130 mill for player that goes on strike and is unfit in Isak, and looks a million miles off it, and 115 million for lightweight in Wirtz should be sacked. Not to mention is on par with Timikas.
Playing Isak ahead of Mo is a disgrace considering the efforts Mo has put in for this club.

From Carras perspective Mo attacked the club with what he said. Carra defended the club. Regardless of if you like him or not, that's truth of the matter.
Basically what you are saying is give Mo what he wants and make everything about Mo. We are a team, not a 1 man band. The club comes before any player, regardless of what they have done or who they are.
As for the comments about Isak and Wirtz, laughable mate at the least.

@Fields, Carra wasn't defending my club. He was all out for his "revenge", IMO. To me, Carra absolutely disgraced himself with all the bitter, long-winded and personal cheap shots he rained on Salah that one would think Salah had done something so despicable to him in a former life and had been waiting to let it all out at long last.
Also, there was a lot of revisionist history in a lot of his attacks on Mo in his mindless, bitter rants. Saying "Before he signed for Liverpool, he was a Chelsea reject" cos clearly Salah wasn't doing bits at Serie A before Ian Graham, Edwards and his bros. convinced Klopp to sign him. Saying that how Salah threw Trent under the bus for him not tracking back for 8 years, conveniently ommiting that it was a deal he made with Klopp that even Sadio Mane (in an interview with Rio) said he was fine with . So was Trent.
Mate, I can keep going but the bottom line here is that Carra made a right bitter, jealous crank of himself with this personal attacks, flip flopping and disgraceful revisionist history about Salah's time here. And sorry, nobody wants to hear the opinions of a guy who spat at a kid lecture the rest of us on topics like public behaviour and respectful, dignified professional conduct.

Liverpool are said to have long been aware that Salah possesses the biggest ego at the club but given his extraordinary record of goals and assists, it was accepted. The report added, however, that should the winger's level of end product slip, the support he enjoys from the club will no longer exist.

Honestly it’s become a circus but o place blame solely at salahs door, he has a bit of a habit of playing the media how he wants when things don’t go his way. etc. no player is bigger than the club.
10 Dec 2025 17:05:52
Carra has a blind spot when it comes to Mo. His comments about AFCON last year pretty much give it away.
In addition, he's not authentic. He's playing a pantomime character for his employers.
I am pretty sure none of the current Liverpool squad like him.
As a comparator, check out Stevie G's words on TNT.
A legend recognises a legend.

Man U fan looking for the bite!
10 Dec 2025 16:13:36
Have you seen Mo Salah play this season? He deserved to get dropped. I don't care what he did last season or the season before. He's played 19 games this season and scored 5 goals. For a player that doesn't defend that isn't good enough.
10 Dec 2025 16:32:27
Let's get it out there, Salah was totally WRONG. and as a Liverpool player for many years, he was quite within his rights to say what he said.
10 Dec 2025 16:42:16
For what it's worth, Thefields, you're spot on. And regards to Slot, I said before the game that the travelling support would sing his name, and they did. I'm certainly not happy with our drop in form, but I'll be singing Slot's name on Saturday.
It's what supporters do. It's one thing criticising him, I've said things myself, but some of the guff that's been said on here has simply been made up to support people's agenda. The bottom line is, despite people's wishes, he ain't going anywhere.
10 Dec 2025 17:18:55
Carra, regardless of what you may think of him as an individual, was doing his job. He has rattled cages and sky must be laughing as they are the only winners in this.
However, carra played a huge part in us winning in 05 and literally ran himself into the ground. If I remember correctly, he was throwing himself round like a rag doll in extra time to try get us to pens.
Is he the best defender? No. Did he have his draw backs? Absolutely but you cannot diminish his role in it based on the first 45. They were all awful and that's why we needed the miracle in the first place.
As for Mo, the only person that thinks he was a scapegoat was him all based on the media noise. His form was terrible and wasn't just this season either. Go and look at his output from around March. He wasn't the only problem and I don't recall anyone saying drop Mo and it magically all gets fixed.
The summer spend was done based on a life without him, building round someone heading into his mid 30's would have been a horrible mistake by the club.

I don’t think anyone blames Mo for being upset. He’s an elite footballer who’s not ready to accept his best years are behind him he was always going to be annoyed if and when his playing time is restricted.
That doesn’t excuse the way he went about it though. Since he spoke to that reporter every question to any of our players and the manager has been about Mo. At a time when we need to be concentrating on winning games more than ever he’s dropped his team mates and the manager in the middle of a media storm. He’s been around long enough to have known that this would be the reaction to his comments so you can only assume that’s what he wanted.
That is why he’s getting stick and rightfully so. He was out of order and now he’s just left the manager and his team mates to pick up the pieces.
Yesterday he tweeted a picture of himself in the gym with no caption. Why? He hasn’t tweeted anything for 6 weeks and now he does that. Why wouldn’t he say good luck to the lads tonight or something like that?
Because he wants it all to be about him that's why.
We all love Salah he’s been immense for us but he’s behaving like a petulant child.
10 Dec 2025 17:34:50
Suarez did a lot worse, as did cantona. my point being not to defend Salah, but to point out that other superstars have been handled differently in similar or worse situations. Carragher offered no solutions just an attack.
10 Dec 2025 18:21:00
Why are people still talking about Jamie Carragher? Yesterday’s news is today’s fish and chip wrappers, for those of a certain age.
If he continually annoys you press the volume or off button when he on. Like all the talking heads he’s just trying to boost subscription figures by being provocative.
10 Dec 2025 18:22:49
Carragher was on about again, seen clips of him n Micah Richards ina heated discussion when Richards said he feels a bit sorry for Salah . he thinks because he's a Scouser n played for the club he is still relevant.
he dug out Mo for not coming out to speak about our bad period . he always got something to say . never good, been hanging round with rat boy too long.
10 Dec 2025 18:37:06
Carra went over the top with his comments. As for Salah I stand by understanding his outburst. It’s playing out like it did for quansah Elliot and our most expensive player Nunez. No man management skills at all.
10 Dec 2025 20:45:59
Yes, Scouse John, because Elliott, Nunez and Quansah have been a major loss this season. ( To be fair, I'll give you Quansah, we perhaps could've done with him) .
May I ask, where as this "lack of man management skills" come from? I don't recall anyone questioning it last season. When he benched Quansah he was praised for doing so.
10 Dec 2025 21:09:18
Rome . why will you be singing Slots name . I get we cheer the team but why you also certain he's not going anywhere . have you seen things in the game what make you think yea that's a great manager.
funny how some people word things so they're the ones who think they support their team more . I go the games aswel n plenty are moaning at him n loads want him gone .
10 Dec 2025 22:06:55
You're right on the money there Olired. Love it.
10 Dec 2025 22:11:50
Because, Strom, he's currently the Liverpool manager, that's why I sing his name. That's why those that travelled to Milan were singing his name.
Regards why I don't think he's going anywhere, I've said on here a few times, it's because it's my opinion that the powers that be don't consider there to be a suitable candidate to replace him at this moment in time. I've also said that I've flip flopped on whether he should go or stay as well. After the PSV game I thought it was time for him to go, but I've since changed my mind, again, because I don't see an alternative.
If you want him gone, you're obviously entitled to have that opinion. And if you say there are loads that want him gone that go to games, so be it. When I was there last week at the Sunderland game, no one by me was happy, but I personally didn't hear anyone say they wanted rid. Like you say, there are no doubt those that do want him gone.
I'm sure you'll be at the game on Saturday, so let's see how that turns out. I wouldn't mind betting that his name will be sang.
Regards to supporting the team more, I couldn't care less. I've always considered myself to be fortunate to be able to get tickets and to be able to afford to go. I do, however, consider myself to be more of a supporter than those that say they can't be bothered to watch us on tele because they don't like the way we are playing. I'm sorry if that point of view offends you.
10 Dec 2025 22:17:38
@Rome: I just think it could of been sorted behind closed doors mate, if slot talks to Mo but with Mo’s comment of breakdown in communication hints at that not happening, looking back on last season with Nunez and Elliot they was big part of the team then just dropped ( Nunez after the psg penalty miss it changed) and eventually shown the door maybe Salah is reading the m.
o of slot? As for carra and souness they could take a leaf out of Gerard’s book when commenting on it.
10 Dec 2025 22:48:29
Scouse, I've no time for Carragher either mate. Some of what he said was vindictive, petty and unnecessary.
Regards to Elliott and Nunez, I never rated either of them. Just my opinion. I've said to you before, I'm a miserable git. My wife will testify!
10 Dec 2025 23:34:30
Rome, your point of view didn't offend in the slightest . just that you seen certain that's he's going nowhere because you've mentioned it a few times on here, last year I thought Slot was a breath of fresh air . new ideas n came across really well but that has evaporated very quickly this year, I too think he hasn't gone because there's either no one available or they are waiting for the right man .
but I can't see us closing the gap to the top 4 if he continues to play this absolutely dreadful football, id love to be wrong . but as u say its all about opinions, some want him gone some want him to stay.
11 Dec 2025 00:31:04
How do you have "no doubt" that Mo has tried to have a conversation but has been met by a brick wall?
