I’m not sure it is in any way honourable to be sacking a manager who won the league 6 months ago, however I do think it is the right thing to do for the good of Liverpool FC.
There is no room for honour or sentiment when making decisions for football reasons. We have played well less than 5 times this season and it’s New Years Day.

Well Ron your always on about keeping Slot everytime anyone says anything negative about him . so in your fantastic wisdom. you tell us all the great reasons why we should keep him . he won the league last year n I was thrilled, but this year is a joke, so enlighten us.

Well, we’ve already sacked the set-piece coach, so we might as well sack the open-play coach and the out-of-possession pressing coach too, seeing as both have been completely non-existent and utterly atrocious.
We can’t sack Slot though, he won us the league last season. I do wonder how long we’re planning to keep milking the sacred “he won us the league last season” excuse before it finally runs dry.

Ron you’re right.
There is nobody to replace him until the summer and even then I’m not sure who will be the right choice, it’s limited.
Slot is dire though, so we need to get used to mediocrity for the next 5 months and stop posting the same old shizen on here.
We have what we have, I will take top 4 and the FA Cup right now and even that would be a victory of sorts with the way the team is currently set up.
Alonso = Not convinced
Iraola = Definitely not
Glasner = Very poor choice
Inzhagi = Not convinced
Nagellsman = Never really achieved at club level
I’m struggling to see what’s next
It’s going to be tricky.

Not the worst game in the world. Wirtz was off form and we didn't create enough chances. Leeds came to stifle and press and got a deserved draw.

Ange would at least get the team playing high press, attacking football. TBH he'd probably win the league with the players we have.

This type of football is abysmal. You don’t create enough chances and chances are what bring goals. Waiting for opposition players to make a mistake seems the teams only route to scoring atm. Passing the ball around constantly and then giving it to your top creative players has only ever worked in modern times with Barcelona. They had Messi the greatest player ever in the team alongside Iniesta, Xavi and a whole other host of generational super talent.
The premier league is also quicker and more physical, you need to play with speed to get results. If the manager is concerned about burn out use the squad more not suppress their fitness training. How about bielsa for the rest of the season?

Danbev, Ange would take us into a relegation battle, he is nowhere near the calibre needed. His teams can’t defend to save their lives. And you’ve clearly forgotten his “get over it” jibe after THAT match at Spurs. That man’s name should never ever be mentioned in the same breathe as manager of Liverpool.

There are a lot of things going on behind the season that are over Maresca's head and he even said so a couple of weeks back.
Also, he just got a new agent in Jorge Mendes so even he knew the writing was on the wall. Diff. thing here with Slot so not sure the comparison is even apt.
