What's everyone's thoughts on Woodman? If he wants to stay third choice, is it worth giving him another year as he's out of contract in the summer.

I think Jaros is ready to be third choice if he recovers from injury but this season all our keepers have got injured so maybe we need to keep him as a fourth choice just based on that.

I mean we only seen him a minute, so based on the match it's hard to make that call.
But I think there is more than match performance that goes into the value of the 3rd choice GK.
Listening to Robbo, it sounds like Freddie ticks all the boxes for what you'd want from the back-up's back-up

Jaros wouldn't be willing to be 3rd choice i'd imagine.He's had 1st team football the last coupla year.

I've no issue with the 3rd choice being Woodman. He doesn't take up a non home grown space, doesn't have expectations of being a starter, and is there in an emergency. I'd expect Jaros to be competing for the number 1 spot. I think he's that good.

I think Jaros is that good too. He has been more than decent each time he was out on loan and deserves to compete for the no1 jersey specially since Kelleher is no longer with us. At the very least, I think he is on par with Mamar if not better.

I'd happily keep him. The key for me is that they need to be able to do a job on the very rare occasions that they are called upon whilst accepting the reality that the chances of them playing are very slim. They should also he homegrown to help with squad quotas. Woodman ticks all those boxes for me.
Jaros would be the other option who would tick all those boxes but it might be better for him to be playing on loan somewhere.

I imagine the preference would be for Jaros and Pesci to be playing regularly. so can't see them being 3rd choice and spending only doing keeper drills
