So we basically have CL unless we lose 6-0 and Bournemouth win 2-0?

19 May 2026 21:47:01
Possible with this lot right now.

19 May 2026 21:49:48
Nope, there's only a 6 goal GD between us.

I don't know about the 'goals scored' but I doubt we're ahead.

If they have scored more than 3-0 in each game (defeat for us and win for them), it would be enough.

19 May 2026 21:50:08
No, it's a 6 goal swing.

Bournemouth win 3-0 and we lose 3-0 and it's equal goal tally or any other formula that makes 6.

19 May 2026 21:51:49
Wouldn't rule it out.

19 May 2026 21:54:44
What about if we lose 7-0 and they win 1-0?

19 May 2026 22:05:11
Klopp's lowest points tally in a full season was 67pts, which he called a 'bad season'.

Anyone confident against Brentford? You would have thought we are favourites, but who knows.

62 pts if we beat Brentford. CL, because by a stroke of luck the Prem gets 5 places. Last season we're winning the league. Talk about shock to the system.

19 May 2026 22:06:54
Here lad's, absolutely anything is possible with Slot's Army. ?

19 May 2026 22:12:03
We have scored more goals than Bournemouth (amazingly!) - 62 vs 57.

So we lose 3-0, they win 3-0, we would still qualify on goals scored (62 vs 60).

If they win 5-0 and we lose 1-0, we would be equal on everything (GF, GA, GD), then it would go to head-to-head.

We beat them 4-2 at Anfield, and they beat us 3-2 at the Vitality. So we would again squeak through!

19 May 2026 22:26:19
No, the swing is 7 goals for Bournemouth to qualify, as we're 5 ahead on goals scored.

19 May 2026 23:04:04
We're ahead of them on goals scored. It would require Bournemouth to better our goal difference, unless they score more than 5.

19 May 2026 23:06:03
Just to add, we're also ahead on the H2H.

We beat them 4-2 at the start of the season. They beat us 3-2 in the return fixture.

19 May 2026 23:18:39
Yup, what Zed said.

Bournemouth's best shot is we lose, they win big enough away to Forest to beat our goal difference.

They would need a 7 goal swing for that to happen.

20 May 2026 03:40:47
Apart from the dodgy maths, it is genuinely sad that we should be worried about losing against Brentford and be worrying about Bournemouth's goal difference.

With the squad we have, we should have qualified ages ago.

Even though the standard of the league is poor, we have been - given the potential of the squad - pound for pound the worst team in the league, with the Spuds a dishonourable second.

From a football perspective, the club needs a radical change asap.

20 May 2026 06:48:09
No one is genuinely worried, WDW. Just a reason to moan.

20 May 2026 07:01:03
I'm definitely worried about losing to Brentford. So you can only speak on
behalf of 99.9% of world wide fans, FM.

20 May 2026 07:46:36
Seconded @JK, we tend not to do well against teams that get stuck in and we've had trouble against Brentford in recent seasons when we were playing well.

@FM, you are factually incorrect in stating "No one is genuinely worried". I'm afraid I missed the memo announcing that you would be speaking on behalf of everybody on the board.

20 May 2026 08:49:15
Ok lads. Worry away. ?

20 May 2026 08:14:08
We've lost by a margin of 3 goals three times at Anfield this season and conceded 4 goals three times this season. To blithely say that we won't contrive to cock this up is giving far more credit to the imbecile in charge than he deserves.

It's entirely possible that an organised, physical team can come to Anfield and stick 4 past us with no reply as much as it's plausible that Forest have their flip flops on and let Bournemouth run riot. That's how poor Slot's management is to allow the season to get to this point.

He has normalised not winning at Anfield and it's no longer a fortress.

20 May 2026 09:54:22
Thanks for the approval.

I do worry less about the other football teams I support mind.

20 May 2026 12:43:06
Are people worried? By the looks of it, barely anyone watches anymore, so what is there to be worried about if you're so disengaged you don't even watch? lol.

20 May 2026 13:09:11
W38 D9 L8 at Anfield during Slot's tenure. Not Klopp standard, but decent. Although the 17 wins from 28 league games this season need to be improved upon.
