Tonali to Spurs, it seems. Some good signings. Already thought they had a chance of top 5, but now I’d be more confident. A top CF in there, and they are laughing.

Yeah, Flo. Spurs seem to be building a small army out there on paper, I must say.
01 Jul 2026 20:09:42
They still have kudos Maddison Kulevski.
Packed in the full back areas and now centre back areas.
And completely revamped the midfield.
Intent!

Tonne of money. Market has gone mad.
I'm delighted with the Munoz signing.
They should improve though, Spurs. Surely hard not to.

Some midfield they have on paper. Makes ours look paper thin. We really need to bring in a high quality cdm.

Spurs will always be spursy!
Spending a lot of money is one thing, now the board will expect results.
Looking forward to seeing which "Top pundit" tips them for the title!

Winning the popularity contest in the transfer market and getting points in the Premier League are 2 different things. Has our last season taught you nothing? Has Man Utd for 10 years taught you nothing? So far they've bought 2 midfielders marginally better than they had, 2 center halves that are average solid players (the same as they had last season), and a 33-year-old left back who was replaced by his former club because he wasn't at his best level anymore, and the trend is downward.
They have a deep squad currently, that's true, but we will see who they sell before August and then what points they collect.

Thar flirt with relegation looks to have scared them to death.
01 Jul 2026 21:28:22
Must be spending that Beyonce concert money from a few years ago. ?
01 Jul 2026 21:31:39
Brighton have agreed a club record £46m deal with Tottenham Hotspur for Croatia defender Luka Vuskovic. Spurs doing lots of business.
01 Jul 2026 21:53:56
Doesn't matter who Spurs sign. They're still Spurs.
01 Jul 2026 22:05:43
Well, I for one would rather spend a load of money on players that have Prem experience and who haven't proven they can do it in the Premier League than gamble 100 million plus on players who have had one or two good seasons in Germany.
01 Jul 2026 22:18:52
I agree with Spurs being Pursy. They always seem to find a way.
Tell you what, though, I'd love to know what Newcastle's Oman is - Anderson, Isak, Gordon and now Tonali, that's a fair bit of talent that they have let go. I suppose it might be PSR pressure, but it seems to be sending a negative message in my opinion.
01 Jul 2026 23:11:58
Their bigger players want out. Howe's tactics, their failure to qualify for CL, the promises of a new stadium and world class training facilities not progressing, their poor signings. I imagine Guimares will push for a move too and possibly Hall, but I think that will be the end of it for now.
Despite having the richest owners in the world, PSR/SCR has hamstrung them financially, and they can't compete at the top level currently.

Spurs did well in the market, Tonali is a beast and elite player I would love in s Liverpool shift. Matheus is a strange purchase. Watched him a few times, s he looked decent, but the fee is circa £90m, that's a lot for 2 players, almost £200m / fair play if they glad it because they care area a decent rebuilds.

Spurs will have to sell lots of players yet. They have no European football and a massive squad. Now Tonali and Fernandes have come in on fairly high wages. Players like VdV will want pay rises.
Think Tonali is a great player, albeit not sure £100 mill, but then Wirtz and Isak aren't worth their price tags.
Problem is, now any half decent player is being quoted at £80-100 mill. Hopefully the market crashes. It's getting stupid now.

The good thing, Ibiza, is that by the end of this summer the fees we paid for Isak, Florian and Hugo will just look like run of the mill prices. In Hugo's case we will even have picked up a bargain.
What's that, now Spurs have spent £230m by the start of July? Wouldn't be surprised to see our "record" spend from last summer usurped by a couple of teams over the next few weeks.
02 Jul 2026 12:27:09
Florian, I agree with you on that esp. with Anderson going to City for essentially Wirtz/Isak money.
Our so-called "spending spree" of last season will be relegated to the dust bin of history in a couple of months, for real.
02 Jul 2026 12:54:37
They're still Spurs lads - relax. ?
