I'd say the same about England too, BTW. Neither have any chance of winning the tournament.
As soon as either of us come up against France, Argentina, or Spain, we are out.
I even think Mexico will probably beat England.
Glad you're enjoying it, though, mate. It's what World Cups are all about.
As to your question, I wouldn't want any USA players playing for Liverpool. They are just not at the level we should be signing.

Pulisic is definitely the level we would need - unfortunately, can't stay fit so even my US blinders can't justify it.

The US dominated a Paraguay team that eliminated Germany.
They also dominated Australia, and beat a decent Bosnia team with 10 men.
There is actually a lot of talent on the US team. I'm a big fan of Adams and Richards. McKennie as well. I always think he is underrated. I've been very impressed by Tillman and Freeman, as I haven't seen much of them before. I would take any of those players.
They've played whoever is in front of them, and they've played well so far.
There have been very few other teams that have been as efficient in advancing, and 2 typical heavyweights have already been eliminated in the knock-out stage.
Do I think the US is going to win the whole thing? Nope. Do I think it's impossible? Nope. Right now, the only teams that have lived up to their billing have been France, Spain and Argentina. I'd say it is pretty wide open for the US to go far in this thing.
I believe that we will win!!!

As an American, I'll go out on a limb and bet the USA wins a World Cup before England. Kids in this country are starting to choose Soccer as the first sport, and we are pumping resources into the game.
I have said before Tyler Adams would be perfect. He knows AI system. And is a very good holding midfielder. As for those of you flagging off Balogun, are you pissed because he chose to rep the US over England.
Pulisic is extremely talented as well and id have him over Gakpo (not Barcola though). Chris Richards is a good CB as well.
But my statement stands. I'll bet any of you a pint that America wins their first World Cup before England gets a second....
That said, bring on the new Prem season. I am quietly optimistic.
