I am not sure why Frimpong cannot be RW. He is faster and quicker than both Diamonde and Barcola. He played RM RW for Leverkusen.
A lot of people thought he will be Salah’s replacement but somehow he became Bradley's replacement and has never settled.
Whatever good moments he had were up the pitch in opposition half at RW.
We should be looking at RB and playing Frimpong at RW or selling him because he sure ain't a RB.

Frimpong, in his first season, showed nothing.
New manager, the tactics, let's see how he does.
For me, though, he is no right attacking player, just not got enough about him.
For me, he should be an impact player from the bench late in games.
But hopefully he proves me wrong.

According to Transfermarkt, Frimpong played 10 times at right wing last season with a total of 0 goals and 0 assists.
More importantly though, I watched Frimpong play right wing last season and he was completely useless.
He is a wing back and should probably be moved on.

Because he has no output, can't play with his back to goal, and, despite his pace, is not a great dribbler. Other than that he would be terrific.

I'm with Fifth Element. Frimpong is a wingback, that is, he can't play RB and he's not a winger. I've no idea why we bought him. We should get rid, no matter his infectious grin.

Frimpong was poor last season but he doesn’t seem to get cut the same slack that the other new signings got or the rest of the squad, where it was all the manager's fault.
Perhaps this season, we might see a different Frimpong under Iraola as apparently his greatest strength is improving every player.

I'm consistent with my criticism, JK. Wirtz was a major disappointment as well, and we saw nothing of Isak to judge him. Like you say, let's judge them all under Iraola. I've said repeatedly, it wasn't all down to Slot. I really want to eat my words and they all look world beaters. Only time will tell.

Frimpong literally dances around the ball when he played right wing last season. Did he actually ever beat his man in the final third?
I would put him in the same category as Chiesa and Mama - we bought him hoping to flop him for profit.

Yeah, get that Rome, mate, and the criticisms deserved. It's said that he only looked good in Germany because it's a farmers league but then Wirtz is a generational talent for looking good in the German league.
Both players have a huge point to prove this season along with Isak and Kerkez.

Frimpong Isak and the keeper whose name I can't spell should all be moved on. They're crap or don't suit how we want to play.

Frimpong can't beat a man. He's got no upper body strength, so they just ease him aside. He's only going to be any kind of attacking threat when he can go on the overlap from a wing back position and have a free run to cross it unchallenged. He's constantly on the floor, though, when he does get into attacking positions because a strong breeze knocks him down. Crazy, because usually players of his size and speed have a low centre of gravity and are deceptively well balanced as a result.
He's a wing back, not a winger. Even if we build our attacks in a way that suits Frimpong, though, he's still not good at playing out from the back, and he's also pretty average defensively, relying heavily on his pace. For me he's a back up right back with a good personality to have in the dressing room. I do think we'll end up selling him within the next 12-18 months though.

We can't pick and choose, lads. I was guilty of this a lot last season, favouritism of some players over others, blaming half on Slot and the other half on them being crap.
If Wirtz and Gravy etc were crap because of Arne Slot, then so were Frimpong & Gakpo etc.

If I've to endure Frimpong doing that thing where he comes up against opposition and just stands over the ball dead still like a f****** statue whilst he contemplates the correct moment to try and knock it past his man, I might spontaneously combust.
Throw a feint, a stepover, drop a shoulder, s*** in your hands and clap for all I care, but for Fowler's sake, do something.
He's got that schoolyard mindset where he thinks he can just knock it past his man and beat him for pace, might have worked in the Bundesliga or your local 5 a side, but it won't fly in the Prem.

He's got a season to turn it around under a new attack minded manager. He has attributes to do well if they are targeted properly.
If we either don't set up to take advantage of them, or he can't adapt to what AI wants, then he'll be gone.
Either way, though, I'll be getting behind the lad. We have serious issues on our right side of defence, along with the other areas needing investment, so like it or not people better get used to seeing him in a red shirt.

Well Mk Barcola is hardly built like a tank, and from what I saw, if Diamonde was in the WC, anyone can push him around easily.
Strength is the easiest thing to build though. You can't build pace and acceleration after a point with just exercise and running alone, so you either have them or not.
Frimpong has pace, just needs to see the game better.

Barcola is significantly stronger than Frimpong. Creatine fuelled muscles do not equate the strength or balance on a football pitch. Some of the strongest players in the world have wiry frames.
Barcola is very much built like Ekitike and Isak. He's not muscular but he uses his body well and has excellent balance when under physical contact.

Frimpong was completely the wrong purchase imo and Iraola won't be able to do much with him, he can't defend, is extremely weak in the tackle in 50/50 situations, can't dribble or beat a man when playing as a RW and his shooting ability is absolutely shocking.
He is too small and weak for the Premier League. Should be cutting our losses and moving him on asap.
