Bayern Leverkusen want a new manager Glasner would be a fit?
I heard that steve (the quiff) parish on transfer day was in the gym until 6pm that is why it went to the last minutes.

This has cost his club millions of pounds why would you go to the gym at such a pivotal moment? Did he have no intention in selling the lad to us?

05 Sep 2025 23:19:37
If it's true that he was in the gym. I'm going to report him! lol. He should be showing mor due diliagence than being in Jim. He had work to do.

06 Sep 2025 01:10:50
I hope I don’t have to explain to you the difference between being in the gym and being in Jim.

06 Sep 2025 01:21:35
I heard he left the gym around five-ish but headed off to the local Pizza Hut for a meat feast.

06 Sep 2025 06:35:44
Parish does 45 mins at the pecking mirror, then 25 mins of aggressive shouting, 15 mins of lunges at a cardboard cutout of Alan Pardew and then has only 95 mins to fix his ludicrous barnet. It all takes time.

06 Sep 2025 07:09:02
So that’s why Jim white was missing from skys deadline day!

06 Sep 2025 12:36:48
Poor old Jim white. He loves dead line day.

Rumour - yes Parrish was in the gym beyond 6 o clock, but had already sanctioned Geuhi leaving, so it it didn't matter where he was or what he was doing .
Glasner was the spanner in the works, by saying he couldn't leave and would resign if he did . until replacements were found and then doing what he could to deter any replacement ( hence the Brighton fella chosing W Ham over them) when Glasner told him he'd get limited minutes .
As I said - RUMOUR!

@thunderbird2 a particular politician in the US could, Jim (Gym) Jordan….

But the question remains, why did Liverpool leave it till tge last 2 to 3 days of the transfer window instead of trying to force a deal early in August and give CP a deadline to complete the deal because it was obvious thst CP had no desire to sell.

{Ed001's Note - what are you talking about? Palace were happy to sell, they needed to sell and the deal was all agreed long in advance. They just wanted to play him in as many games as possible first. We didn't need him desperately so why push it? Then Glasner threw his toys out of the pram, put the kibosh on the replacements and blocked the sale. Palace had every desire and needed to sell as they are in a mess financially after losing their main investor John Textor in the summer.}

wouldnt it be funny now that within the next few mths, if a bigger club comes for Glasner and he chooses to move

In a sense, he still walked out the club at an inconvenient time, not sure how Parish would take that after he
1) made CP in an even poorer financial state
2) upset the club captain

burned bridges maybe?

I posted a few days ago that Real Madrid would be all over a deal for Guehi for free in the summer. I was shot down as Guehi is not high profile enough for them. Now reading Real, Barcelona and Man City are all interested. So not only has Guehi missed out on a move to LFC, There is now a chance he moves elsewere. Could also start a bidding war in January.

07 Sep 2025 10:17:30
He'd agreed a deal and envisaged himself as a Liverpool player when man city were already interested. Absolutely no reason what so ever to suggest he won't.

07 Sep 2025 10:41:59
Gaga - sounds like what happens when top clubs are in for top players.

07 Sep 2025 14:53:18
Thank Ed01 for the clarification as that was my question. So basically CP hsndled their end poorly. Hopefully we sign him in the January. Thank you again anx best regards.

Excuse my poor English and grammar snd spelling errors.

{Ed001's Note - yes, it was all on Palace. The deal was ready to go a while in advance but Glasner kept causing issues with replacements. Glasner is a selfish prick, he will lose the players if he keeps arsing them about and that would be catastrophic for Palace. One of their strongest points is the team ethic they have.}

I get what you are saying Faithinworks and Leeroy, but he should already be a Liverpool player. As we all now once Real are involved it becomes difficult.

07 Sep 2025 23:11:30
Are Real Madrid interested in? I haven’t seen their name mentioned, except within the Context of them picking up Konate on free.

08 Sep 2025 07:41:43
Real will always be interested in frees in the knowledge they can flip them if it doesn’t work out for a substantial profit. TAA take note.

I think it’s telling that we didn’t just offer more to seal the transfer. Nor were we prepared to let Gomez go the other way.

This was a deal that we saw as good value but one that we didn’t particularly need.

We knew that we could sign an England international club captain on the cheap but we weren’t prepared to throw any more at it than we absolutely had to.

I’m not completely sold on Guehi just because I don’t think he has the attributes to play CB for us. I think he’d make a better full back and I think he’d have ended up at Right back fighting with Bradders for a starting place. Frimpong will end up playing further up the pitch.

As a Liverpool centre back you need height, speed and strength. Height because we get targeted at set pieces, speed because we are normally higher up the pitch and teams go over top early and strength because you will be left one on one quite often.

Guehi doesn’t really have any of those attributes.

{Ed001's Note - money wasn't the issue, so offering more would not have made a difference.}

08 Sep 2025 13:39:25
I’m sure if we’d offered £50m earlier in the window Parish would’ve snatched our hand off Ed regardless of what Glasner said.

The signing was opportunistic and not deemed a priority so we were prepared to offer less and take our chances until the final day.

{Ed001's Note - sorry but that was not what it was or how it works. Pointless trying to discuss this as you clearly think you know better when you have nothing but guesswork.}

08 Sep 2025 18:07:22
I think guesswork is what we all have Ed because we weren’t there were we?

Thanks for your time, rude as usual but thanks anyway.

{Ed001's Note - right you do only have guesswork, but you will shout over anyone who gives out information in pure ignorance as always. If you were not so damn ignorant and argue with everyone who actually is giving you info, you might not get such rude responses. But ignorance is tedious and annoying.}

09 Sep 2025 12:39:24
Glasner walks out of there in a heart-beat if he gets any interest from a club he likes the look of.

12 Sep 2025 03:15:32
@RR - is it a crime to go after a better job these days?
