Liverpool have made contact with Antoine Semenyos representatives.
Richard Hughes has a good relationship with the player and his camp, and is keen to bring him in either in January or next summer. There is a release clause - although the number I am not sure of.
The player would be keen on a move to Anfield, however he is assessing all options (and waiting for a particular London club to show interest) .

I like Semenyo, very good winger, great attitude, hard worker, good end product and physically difficult to stop because of his pace and strength.

Yes he may be a target but def we have not made any contact and double def hughes has no relation with the player or his camp. As far as i know he has no agent and some agencies are working on representing him.

Don’t see how he seems like a Chelsea player Lfcfan_03beef? Semenyo has worked his way up from the lower leagues, proven himself at every level he’s played at and shrugged off every rejection he’s had. Every time I’ve seen him he leaves nothing on the pitch, works as hard pressing as he does when the ball is at his feet, he’s like Dirk Kuyt with significantly more skill and a turbo charger.
His work rate, attitude and professionalism make him a Liverpool kind of player.

Agree with that @Faith, if they are waiting for someon3 else then they can ‘sling their hook’ as far as I’m concerned, no matter how good they may or not be.
Wasn’t Fofana our main target at one point? As has been said though, we tend to look at a number of players rather than just the one, for each position.

I guess what I mean is I see him ending up at Chelsea. I like him but I also liked Caicedo and Pedro Neto and Joao Pedro. As much as I like him, I don't think he would be a huge miss if we didn't get him.

Apparently the club he's waiting to hear from is Arsenal, I believe he's a fan. Whether Arteta will be keen on paying the £70+ million asking price just to play second fiddle to Saka when they already have adequate cover for him having just brought in Madueke, is the real question. It doesn't make much sense to me.
Personally, if he's waiting for the call from the goon squad I would have absolutely no interest, Olise is appareI believe he's a fan. I believe the club has him down as first choice anyway.

Good player, incredible athlete. Has some of those Sadio Mane attributes in that he's explosive, direct and can shoot with either foot/ play either side.
He's going to be 26 in January. I wonder if we're more likely look for a slightly younger option.

Semenyo was literally racially abused by one of our fans 2 months ago he’s not going to be signing for us anytime soon probably hates us.

baleba and wharton to replace endo ( think this must be his last season at the club, contract ends 2027).
Mac allister (contract ends june 2028) if he joins RM as per papers, media then two top class replacements are needed for Endo and Alexis, also signing the two together stops them joining other clubs.

Ed1, any right wingers you think are worth keeping an eye on as a potential Salah replacement in the next season or two? You mentioned Estevão before, but that probably won’t happen. Feels like there’s a real lack of quality RWs right now.
Although I do feel we’ll start pivoting our attacking creativity more towards Wirtz and Isak in the future, so a quality RW might not be necessity. Honestly, finding a world-class Van Dijk successor feels like the bigger challenge.

I am warming to the idea of Semenyo, he is not great technically and can be a bit of a headless chicken at times, but he is two footed, pacey and a real grafter. With the creativity and skill of Wirtz, maybe a grafter would be better on the wing to give him freedom.}

I'm starting to feel like we need less of a skilful technical player on the right and more somebody who can run non-stop, make dummy runs, is tall and can win duels and track back on the right hand side. Somebody with the physique of Gakpo and the work rate of Kuyt haha. It's not an easy admission to make, but we have to think about the balance of the team, the way this league is going and how we can get the best out of the players we already have, like Wirtz, Isak and Ekitike. The goals that Mo scores are already being replaced by those three, anyway.
If there was somebody out there who would run from first minute to last and also had enough energy to run at defenders, switch positions with the other two forwards and get into goalscoring positions like Kvaradona then that would be an obvious choice, but there is nobody like him out there. He looks even better playing on the right than on the left, which was supposed to be his best position.
Ed001, Quenda is an electrifying skin a full back sort of winger who can go inside or outside. He is not expected to track back for Sporting though and shows absolutely no appetite for the grittier side of the game the few times I have seen him. He looks like somebody much more in the mold of a Leao than a player we should be looking at, though obviously he's so young that he could be coached. Clearly not a suitable replacement for Mo at this stage of development though, Estevao is light years ahead of him.
