Hi everyone I’ve seen a report saying after today’s meeting that our board are sticking with slot for the time being but results have to improve from now until the end of the season, can the Eds or any of the ITK confirm if this is true?

07 Dec 2025 19:35:48
It is true yes as myself and Fields stated earlier today. If anything, the Salah situation has hardened their stance of backing Slot but it does not mean they don’t have contingency plans.

07 Dec 2025 19:37:08
I think they ll delay the inevitable at this stage until they find an appropriate replacement. Slot won't come back from this.

The Aston Villa/ Real Madrid game needed to be a turning point. The Man City result was survivable if he went on a run starting at Nottingham Forrest. Realistically he needs to win every game for a length of time to survive and he won't. It's over. The Leeds game will ultimately be where he lost his job whether it be tomorrow or a month from now. It's inevitable that this is the end of Slot.

He still won us a title and I'll remember him pretty fondly given some time. But I do look forward to watching better football again.

07 Dec 2025 19:38:18
If that where to happen, I fear for our club - let’s hope it’s a false report or fake.

07 Dec 2025 19:52:45
Ok victor well if your ITK don’t be changing your story when slot goes in next few weeks. ‘…. Just saying.

07 Dec 2025 19:54:47
I honestly have no idea what to believe anymore. Most people online and on social media — including the majority of Liverpool journalists — are saying that Slot has the full backing of the club over Salah and is likely to stay until the summer.

But then there’s Macca, who’s usually the most accurate guy on this website when it comes to Liverpool rumors and news, and he’s saying that Slot will be sacked next week or by the end of the month.

So at this point it’s basically Macca vs. everyone else.

Let’s see who turns out to be right.

07 Dec 2025 18:56:23
Davey, I read all this crap about the fans backing Slot, but everyone I sit with is happy to sell their seat tickets for home games rather than sit through the rubbish we are serving up. We have won only 44 percent of our games.

And the people and former LFC players I’ve worked with tell me that the dressing room has gone and Salah stuck his neck out to force a change.

07 Dec 2025 19:56:27
I totally agree Who. It would be detrimental.

07 Dec 2025 19:58:48
Sounds as tho Mo is gone. Slot needs to be gone too. All the players need to have a long hard look at themselves too.

07 Dec 2025 20:00:45
There won’t be a decision made until a decision is made.
Most managers these days are 3-4 bad results away from the tin-tack.
They all know it and they all know another opportunity is only a month away or so.

07 Dec 2025 20:13:39
If that's true, hughes needs sacking aswell.

07 Dec 2025 20:26:47
What do you expect the club to say. Of course they are going to publicly say they support Slot. I don't get the controversy here. Just reading through everything it seems to me the club are going back and forth trying to decide wheter to appoint an interim manager or just wait until the end of the season and get their preferred choice. The owners are certainly not going to publicly tell any of us what is going on behind the scenes.

Appreciate what the itk posters are reporting. I'm sure they are sticking their necks out at the risk of losing their sources, so please stop with the abuse and instead thank them for the information they are sharing. I trust what I read here more than anywhere else and they have proven to be more accurate. Of course they won't get everything correct but information changes sometimes minute by minute.

07 Dec 2025 20:38:07
So maybe my earlier prediction still stands.

Time to put a bet down.

Where's Paqueta when you need him!

07 Dec 2025 20:43:50
Regarding previus post i meant Carra not Macca ?.

07 Dec 2025 20:51:00
Stone if sticking w Slot is true, then my guess is that losing Slot and Salah at the same time might be too much too quickly. Maybe the thinking is to give Slot more time minus the "distraction" of having an unhappy Salah in the dressing room.

Playing devil's advocate, Mo is having an unsettling influence therefore give Slot more time to try to fix the mess that we are right now both on and off the pitch. Fools errand for me sounds as tho the problem is much deeper than just Mo.

07 Dec 2025 21:08:54
There is absolutely no way the board can be backing Slot to " turn this around". They can see how awful the football is, how unfit the players are, how terrible the tactics are and how divided and fed up the dress room is . Its been going on since Feburary. This isn't a blip that can be turned around, its how this team plays under the stubborn out of his depth Slot. Absolutley no way they will they back him till May as the financial implications of not winning anything and not qualifying for the CL next season are huge for them.

that's what will be the deciding factor in all this. All these ITK posts mean sod all, aside from Carra im not believing a word of it. The board see what we all do it needs a change now or this disaster of a season will have bigger implications than it has already.

07 Dec 2025 21:12:30
Completely agree with everything in your post Red.

07 Dec 2025 21:25:26
“All these ITK posts mean sod all” then why are you here pal? Honestly some of you lot complain and complain and complain about info for literally no reason. If you don’t want to hear RUMOURS, get off the site.

{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that VG...keep them coming mate..

07 Dec 2025 21:47:53
Every club says that the manager has their full support. right up until the moment they're given the sack. I don't ever recall a club coming out and saying "You know what? We actually ARE thinking of sacking him but we've no replacement yet so he'll have to stay put until we figure something out".

07 Dec 2025 21:48:29
The fact they had a meeting to decide whether they are backing him or not kind of says it all.
He’s gone just as soon as they find someone to take over this car crash.
Once the dressing room is lost then there’s no way back.

07 Dec 2025 21:58:48
I’m sure if Alonso became available tomorrow then Slot would be gone.

The problem is if they sack him now then who comes in? Who is guaranteed to make it better and is available? I can’t think of anyone but I’m sure that behind the scenes these conversations and meetings will be happening.

It would be negligent of the board to sack the manager without having a worthy replacement in mind who is attainable right now.

07 Dec 2025 22:36:32
absolutely VG, keep them coming. Appreciate what you share.

07 Dec 2025 22:47:42
Amen to that Vic.

07 Dec 2025 22:52:44
Sticking with Slot means they’re happy to suffer more and end up bottom half of the table. We’ve been dreadful for a lot of this year, end of last season including.

Needs to change now, not in a month and definitely not until the end of the season. We will miss out on Europa League, let alone Champions League football.

07 Dec 2025 23:28:03
Kimuraking - you've been posting on here for weeks saying it needs to change now, and the Owners know it. So why hasn't it changed. The fact is nobody, and I mean nobody has a clue what the Owners are planning to do, if anything.

I have some fairly decent connections within the LFC playing squads, and I can tell you that they are not privy to anything, and expect Slot to continue for the rest of his contract.

08 Dec 2025 00:06:13
Managers will always be judged on results.
Why would Slot be any different?

08 Dec 2025 01:19:11
Slot has become a typical dutch manager now - fallouts and rubbish results + tactically all over the place, daft decisions - starting players that fans know won't deliver. Not playing the ones fans know will deliver because - Arne knows best.

08 Dec 2025 02:46:16
Rojack, I thought Slot was naive, then stubborn now I think he's becoming arrogant.

08 Dec 2025 05:56:10
Sean Dundee we know Klopp could do better because he has done better. This squad we have currently is sensational. I have little faith in the owners if they think someone else can’t do better. Currently it’s not hard.

08 Dec 2025 07:43:48
Im starting to think that Stevie G could add an energy that has been missing and presence.
He is not a manager, let's face it, but could he do the required job for 6 months with Hetinga?

Slot has nothing left to offer. His arrogance and excuses are too much.

08 Dec 2025 11:35:11
It seems like a long time ago that we actually talked about football. Roll on next season!
