Rumblings that Trent is now leaning toward staying at LFC. Madrid are apperently very nervous as Trent has not signed yet and he has been swayed by Mo and VvD signing. This is from few accounts on X so take it woth a pinch of salt. I just think if he had signed for Madrid already there would have been word. If not here on Spain. They can't keep nowt secret in their tabloids.

Liverpool have said nothing, Real Madrid have said nothing and the player himself has said nothing. The only place it’s been decided he’s going is in the Spanish press and on social media.

Trent would be making a big mistake going to madrid they are a team that needs transition some of their players are over the hill some just not good enough and i really don't see the hype with Bellingham he looks like a center half playing in midfield he never got a kick against us and Arsenal.

So as this is a rumours site here is one for you all.
I work with someone who's partners sister works with Liverpool FC Community partnership team, or what ever the exact title is, you know the ones, those guys that that work with various charities and on community projects. Any way she has told her brother (my colleagues partner as he to is a massive LFC fan) that she was talking with someone from the club the other day who is working on a project for the club with her and her team. And this person is ITK .
They have said 2 of the 3 contracts are done deals and they are awaiting the 3rd to be sorted either way as to not put pressure on the 3rd person by announcing the other two. And the kicker is, the 3rd person is not the one you would think would be issue. Its just a case of length of contract for this person and is being worked out. All 3 should be announced by the end of next week one way or another. But there is a chance that the 3rd person won't sign if the length of contract isn't resolved.
As I said its a rumour not fact, just passing on what i've been told.

Guys I think Curtis was referring to the interview where he said Hazard might be a better footballer than Mo but he’d rather have Mo in his team. Certain media outlets (and Leek on this website) spun his comments into a criticism of Mo so he was just basically saying Mo is the man.
Having said that, Mo is 100% staying.

It seems our great club has success like no other in the land. But the fans suffer like no other in the land. We suffer tragedy and pain like no other. But we endure, we get through we walk on with hope in our hearts. The City of Liverpool with its three great clubs is one city and one team on occasions like this. We were celebrating a great achievement, then when joy turned to fear and sorrow we saw what our emergency services achieve on daily basis. Today more so than ever I am proud to be part of the LFC family but more so today, more than ever proud to be part of the NHS family.

I feel last week was one of the poorest displays of the season. but who cares! We are champions and the lads had a lot of celebrating the week previously and there was a lot of changes. How ever today we need full strength and full throttle.
There's something magical in winning a league and breaking 90 points whilst doing it. We can get to 91 but only with 3 wins. I think if Arseneal win today they will add more fuel to the fire that we have been lucky and fully fit they are the best team blah blah blah. Putting them to the sowrd today would be a perfect answer to any doubts in the minds of anyone who isn't associated with our club that thinks we don't deserve to be champions. Let's smash the by 3 or 4 and start laying down our marker for number 21!

I don’t care if we don’t get another point this season. We did what we had to do and won the league. This was always a tough run of fixtures, arsenals own fault they couldn’t keep the race on until now. Be nice to beat them though but genuinely couldn’t care less if we lose the next 3 5-0.

Let them get on with their business, and we’ll focus on ours. That said, I do find it quite amusing - Arteta must be one of the most disliked managers in the league, and in terms of progress, well - there is none. At this point, he’s starting to look a bit ridiculous. Long may it continue. I actually liked them under Wenger - how times have changed.
As for today, bring them on. For us, it's no more than a training session and a day for the fans to soak in the Anfield atmosphere. I see us smashing them but if we don't - we've won the league and that's all that counts.

Most of my friends are actually arsenal fans and they are all in all a sensible lot, certainly they would rather we won it than city or united or Chelsea or whatever. The arsenal fans I know also aren't unanimously enamoured with arteta though I suppose they all are inclined to believe he is a top manager for getting them in title races and in the latter stages of the CL, a belief that I constantly take them to task for. Interestingly enough even though arsenal are known for being a set piece team I think they have also conceded a large percentage of their goals from set pieces, especially recently.

These days you need to differentiate between social media fan bases and actual supporters.
Yes they’re a bunch of arsenal idiots on social media - same for every other “big club” fan base I can think of, including Liverpool!
The reality is I know plenty of gunners who go to the emirates who have been humble in defeat and congratulated us on the title. Some genuinely decent people.
Best to not pay attention to a load of delusional idiots on social media, regardless of which team they like to post about.

We need to spend in the summer . Another CB to challenge Virg and Ibu, RB to start and challenge Connor for the position, a LB to start and be number one in the position, another holding midfielder to rotate with Grav, an out and out CF. We will likely move on Elliott, Jota, Nunez, Tsimikas, Trent is going, maybe Endo as well so we will free up space and wages. Huge summer coming up. Would love Kerkez and Frimpong as the full backs with Wharton as the holding mid, and the best CB and CF we can buy. We could have a very very strong squad next season if the money is there and the players want to come. Its that last bit that worries me as we have a history of getting snubbed and players choosing other teams over us.

Something to think about. If Spuds play Manu it the Europe league final the winner will be the lowest placing team in their division to ever qualify for the CL the next season. Now baring in mind in seasons gone by teams have been relegated on the number of points both of these teams have now and there is only 4 games left, they may well have even in a relegation battle if the league remained competitive at the bottom end. So it raises a few points .
1. The gulf between the Championship and EPL is growing ever bigger, as long as you get to 30 points the odds are you will not be relegated as the 3 teams coming up will always drop down with far less. This needs addressing as there is little point having promotion to the EPL with the way its going. Can guarantee Burnely Leeds and who ever wins the play off are back there the season after next.
2. May as well rename the Champions League to the European Super League as that's what it is now. As soon as you are accepting teams that finish 15th in theor division in to the Champions league its a total farce and beyond the realms of plausibility.
3. This nonsense of winning one European competition to gain entry to a superior one has to stop . Two teams that finish 14 th and 15th have no place in a champions league .
Its an embarrassing situation and needs rectifying. United and Spurs have no place playing in a champions leauge finishing on only a few more points that teams that have been relegated in premier league seasons gone by have gone down on.

Or the PL is stronger than most other leagues regarding mid to lower table teams, would mid to lower table league teams in Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy etc spend the money Utd, Spurs, West Ham etc spend or have the quality of players the PL teams have. Other leagues may be strong at the very top of the table but you do wonder how big the drop off is outside the top 4, 5 or 6 teams.

I think the Europa CL qualification is to incentivise because before that came in the competition (under its old name) was at risk of dying as teams weren’t even going full strength (some still don’t even do) .
Another question I was posed about this is if Arsenal don’t win the CL and Spurs or Utd win the Europa then does that mean Spurs or Utd have had a more successful season than Arsenal because they would also have qualified for next seasons CL but won an actual trophy.
I do agree though that the CL place for the winner makes a farce of it and they need to incentivise it more with money because that’s what makes the world go round especially the football world.

Ed 001 may I ask Sir, why would Madrid want to buy Trent now for what would still be a good chunk of money, if they know for certain he will be signing for free in the summer? I can see why Liverpool would want to keep him as we have trophies to win, and the however many millions we would get now wouldn't be worth more than those, but from a Madrid perspective is it a move that is almost a sign of respect to Liverpool, saying we will pay rather than take him for free? Or does it perhaps mean they are not as confident as they were of signing him a few weeks ago? Just seems a strange move.

How has the 3 contracts been an issue, until 2 weeks ago it was all fine and dandy. Two poor results and a team that looks out on its feet due to lack of rotation is the issue, no amount of contract signing will solve that.
