Federico Chiesa has been told if a suitable offer arrives for the player during the January window, he is free to leave the club.
25 Dec 2025 13:18:05
He definitely slept with Slot's wife.
25 Dec 2025 14:10:35
Absolute shambles of a club at the moment. If this is true that's a terrible decision. He gives 100% every time he's on the pitch. He always creates a moment, weather its an assist a goal or a last ditch tackle. Slot is by far the worst man manger I've seen, that includes Brendan Rogers .
25 Dec 2025 14:19:56
unbelievable if this is true. Does Slot thinks 60k people in the stadium singing Chiesa's song are stupid that they cannot see the effort and quality he brings? This is a clear case of a signing from Hughes without Slot's approval? I can't think of any other reason. Slot has destroyed all the good feel and harmony in the squad which Klopp built over years.
25 Dec 2025 14:31:22
Totally agree Kimuraking.
Slot appears to be dead set against Freddi.
Perhaps because he goes forward rather than sideways.
Hope that's not true.
25 Dec 2025 15:21:16
So we lose mo for a month, Isak breaks his leg, Gakpo is injured and we think it’s a good idea to sell FC.
25 Dec 2025 15:32:46
Slot is a very limited coach with only a few tools in the box.
25 Dec 2025 16:08:18
Why is every post on here an opportunity for people to moan about Slot? It's getting pretty boring around here.
25 Dec 2025 16:18:53
Maybe Chiesa has put forward that he wants to leave for more game time in a world cup year?
Regardless he should be starting on Saturday.
25 Dec 2025 16:32:33
I'd love to criticise someone, but I was visited by 3 ghostly apparitions lastnight, telling me to change my ways. so all the best everyone. including Slot, bahh humbug.
25 Dec 2025 18:03:05
Sloppy seconds Adam?
25 Dec 2025 20:04:08
Reassuring to see so many fans automatically believe unsubstantiated rubbish and use it, again, as a stick to best the club.
25 Dec 2025 20:13:23
PB because people don't understand the logic and style of Slots management, especially after winning the title last year. He's taking us backwards with giant strides. Life before JK was pretty painful! And it seems Slot is determined to take us back there.
25 Dec 2025 21:30:27
Fede is a Hughes signing and Slot is making a point. He would rather have an oversized serbian pit pony than fede.
25 Dec 2025 22:31:51
If true, then not hard to see why.
Slot doesn't use wingers. Got rid of Diaz, doesn't use Chiesa or Rio, and apparently wasn't interested in Semenyo. That tells you everything you need to know.
He seems to prefer midfielders/ more technical players all over the pitch.
25 Dec 2025 22:40:00
Who do you think is making the signings @Greg? Hughes or Slot?
25 Dec 2025 23:47:08
Probably be captain if his name was Van Chiesa.
26 Dec 2025 02:43:20
West Derby Wanderer IV Unsubstantiated? The sites called liverpool -RUMOURS mate not liverpool-facts. Slot has repeatedly shown no interest in implementing Chiesa over an entire year and half. You don't need any more proof than that. He doesn't want him, It's obvious. Players that don't play get moved on. Darwin, Elliot, Diaz, all had big roles at the club prior to Slot arriving and they still got moved on. He's stubborn as a mule, everyone can see it.
And nobody needs to use rumours to "best the club", there's been plenty of extremely poor decisions made over the last 9 months to warrant serious criticism. If you haven't seen it you haven't been paying attention.
26 Dec 2025 09:03:02
Ignore WDW.
26 Dec 2025 10:32:25
Pretty sure it’s not just Slots decision who comes and goes just who starts and doesn’t.
Henry definitely doesn’t get involved in transfers but if you believe he doesn’t have a say or is aware then I’m not sure people know how big businesses work.
I can’t imagine Henry woke up one morning to find the club he owns had spent 310 million on Isak, Wirtz and Ekitike behind his back.
26 Dec 2025 10:34:42
Nah, @Chewy, there is a difference between people just making stuff up and somebody who has information that comes from a real, live human source who has some (albeit tenuous) information that is known within the club. Given that we all have an opinion I’m happy to use mine to say that some stuff is just absolute gibberish.
26 Dec 2025 12:12:10
Slot doesn't play Chiesa because he has better players. If he slept with Slot's wife, he probably only jumped on for the last 10 minutes. Diaz wanted to go. Nunez was ridiculed, often by his own so-called 'supporters' so was forced out. Elliot wanted more first team football, so did Kelleher. We all know what tragically happened to Diogo. Slot was forced to bring players in. NOBODY argued against the players we brought in during the summer. Now, because some haven't settled immediately, it's all Slot's fault. There are another three big factors. First, established senior players, like Mac Allister, Salah, Konate and at times even Van Dijk, who would have been expected to help the new players settle, have been awful themselves at times.
Second, Trent has been a massive miss. Our ability to beat the press or find an out ball or feed Salah early has been lost with Trent leaving. Only now is Wirtz showing signs of replacing that creativity. Third, missing out on Guehi was massive. We would still be in contention for the title if he had signed. I agree, the football in the last 6 games has been crap. But Slot had to revert to a more pragmatic and defensive system to stop the rot and build from there. He was fighting for his job. I expect a better 2nd half of the season, but reinforcements in the summer are essential.
26 Dec 2025 15:17:34
Slot is not making a point, I mean he’s not a schoolboy. He clearly doesn’t fancy Cheisa as a player, which I don’t understand to a certain extent but to suggest Slot is using Cheisa to make a point is just plain daft.

West Derby Wanderer IV - So you think that if a reasonable offer was made for Chiesa that Liverpool wouldn't take it? The chaps played just over 380 minutes in the best part of 2 years. that's a total of just over 4 matches. Come off it mate, you might as well tell me we never wanted to let Arthur Melo go.
