Regarding Carras post.
I wouldn't want any Real Madrid player in regards to a Macca sale. It should be the full price that we want. Their team is average. They've two star players up top. When Vini turns up or Mbappes on the pitch they steal the goals for them. They're outplayed in every game I watch. They're an average side even with the most overrated PR machine in Bellingham.

As for some fans, very few that would want Trent back. He has horrendous. Every match he's played, he's played a huge part in them conceding or directly is at fault.
I wouldn't want not one player from that squad. Also rampant with personalities toxic to a dressing room.

07 Mar 2026 09:47:10
I'm sure there's a few good eggs there, personality-wise. Law of averages.

07 Mar 2026 10:10:14
Their team is average? What are you on?

07 Mar 2026 10:13:50
Unfortunately, not true, Davey. Just look at the disrespectful way every single one of them treated Alonso when he told them to do a guard of honour for Barcelona, or when they all had a hissy fit because Rodri had the temerity to win the Ballon d'Or over their precious little skid mark Vinicius. No, not one good one amongst them.

07 Mar 2026 10:34:24
I'd love Ibou to turn them down. Hopefully he has seen the media giving Trent loads again, and that puts him off. I wouldn't even go there for a day out.

07 Mar 2026 11:19:48
Have to agree with you there, Viktor. The whole squad is toxic. I wouldn't want any of them to join us at this juncture.

07 Mar 2026 12:01:26
I think it might be Arda Guler, as Alonso has raved about him, but we have been linked with Camavinga quite recently, and Tchouameni
in the past. Hopefully it's Guler or Valverde.

07 Mar 2026 12:06:57
Trent has not been horrendous. He has been central for them in progressing the ball and creating chances. I would say that I would like Valverde, but honestly, he has been like a not-as-good version of Szoboszlai this season.

We need passers in midfield. Valverde is not a passer, he is another all-action midfielder who can fill in at full back, exactly like Dom, except Dom is better at pretty much everything, except maybe tackling.

07 Mar 2026 12:20:44
Real Madrid being Real Madrid will probably offer us someone like Ceballos.

Last time we got a player from them, it was Antonio Nunez who was crap!

07 Mar 2026 12:38:16
Not a hope in hell Madrid would allow Valverde to leave, or that he would be even remotely interested in the move.

07 Mar 2026 13:52:32
How about Endric (think that's the name). He's on loan in France. He likes the right hand side, has speed and skill too, and he can also play through the middle. Very young, a bit raw, yet bloody good imo.

I'd have him.

Valverde has played regularly at RB this season. He prefers central mid, engine on him is awesome, but would Sloz have to move left as Valverde is more RHS of cent mid.

07 Mar 2026 13:57:03
Yes dave small fish in big pond who come to another club and want to be the big fish in a small pond. My dislike for anything real madrid won't ever change and i still think there is something gone on over the amount of times they have won champions league and European cup i would not trust them as a club as far as i could throw them. YNWA

07 Mar 2026 15:32:40
Wasn't Valverde one of the players who led the revolt against Alonso? I keep seeing mixed reports about which camp he's in. I know Guler was one of the few Alonso "supporters" within the club, and he is now being ostracised by the rest of them.

So maybe he's the only one I wouldn't mind in Liverpool. But my original points still stand, and the rest can rot where they are.

07 Mar 2026 16:03:15
Rodrygo had been linked previously and was in a position of need. I would think his name comes up again, whether there is anything to it or not.

07 Mar 2026 16:39:34
Rodrygo is woeful, lightweight, and ineffective. The fact that Antony matches his output says enough. Rodrygo strikes me as a sort of wet fart who'd down tools because it's a bit cold. People mentioning Guler clearly aren't aware that he and Szoboszlai detest each other, for the record, Guler comes across as a weapons grade knobhead.

So, no thanks.
As for Endrick, that player tried to end Konate's season a couple of years ago, I've never forgotten that. He had no intent to play the ball, he intentionally went to injure Konate. I stand by my view that I would not want any of those people at Real Madrid here.

07 Mar 2026 16:51:52
I'd take Trent back all day, anyone that wouldn't is a bit bitter about it all.

He had a go, maybe the wrong way about it, but he would walk into our team.

07 Mar 2026 17:56:44
When Rat Arnold did that shhh thing, that was to us supporters. That was a massive two fingers up at us. He strung the club along by not being remotely honest about his intentions. As for his performances last season, it cemented my own view that he's a below average right back with an above average right foot. The number of decent performances (not good ones, as there were none of those) could be counted on the fingers of one hand. For the most part last year, he was a dead weight, a liability when defending, and only useful attacking if he could be bothered, and he didn't look remotely arsed most of the time.

The performances against United & Everton were particularly shameful.

And let's not forget that summer of 66 nonsense, his ego farce exceeds his ability by some margin. No, don't want him back at all, and it would be a criminal waste of valuable club resources to even consider it. If it dies bt work out. He can enjoy seeing his years out at a mid table club.

07 Mar 2026 18:26:41
Trent's a full back. He's in the Madrid line-up as a full back. He's defensively appalling. That's not even up for debate. He's been written about across Madrid's papers for how bad he is defensively. His overall game has also been exposed and spoken about.
You're mentioning progressive passing, lol, when half of his passes have been to the opposition. The lad will always pass some superb balls, but again, he's been horrendous.

He's been out of position and found out many, many times defensively. We're also talking about bottom of La Liga opposition, too. Let's see how he fares against Doku.
I do not want any player back who saw this club as a stepping stone to build their brand. The club moved on. BTW, how's his Ballon d'Or coming along?

07 Mar 2026 18:30:27
Meg, you are entitled to your opinion, but to say anyone that wouldn't take Trent back is just bitter, you cannot say that!
You can't force your own opinion on others to make such a ludicrous comment. That's what dictators do!

07 Mar 2026 19:49:58
@Baz, So basically saying people can have an opinion as long as you agree with it?

07 Mar 2026 18:39:55
As a dictator of this group, I hear what you're saying and sentence you to prison for not agreeing..

Maybe full on, but he gets into our team currently.

08 Mar 2026 08:59:28
If supporters who don't want Arnold Rat back are bitter, then the likes of Meg who pine for him to come back are nothing but simps and cucks, given how Arnold Rat shat on the club and supporters. This means more yeah?

08 Mar 2026 11:20:42
You're using the Madrid papers as a barometer for how he's been playing? They're sensationalist rags of the highest order. Have you actually watched him play consistently?

08 Mar 2026 11:42:26
Look, he will never be back, just for the simple reason that the club won't pay big money for a homegrown player who left the club for pittance. He's also 28 this year. Like when the club walked away when Real were asking too much to bring Owen back.

08 Mar 2026 12:40:39
Trent is not a rat he tried something most of us would do given the chance.
Learning a new language is not unusual a lot of people do it believe it or not it helps when you visit different countries you will find a lot of footballers will learn a new language Trent was no different. If we can bring back Trent then yes do it, it only improves the squad if we don't then i hope Trent does really well for madrid. YNWA.

PS would you have Klopp back he was learning Spanish while manager at LFC i was told?

08 Mar 2026 13:45:54
You're right, Albey, he had to do it. How else was he going to win his Ballon d'Or?

08 Mar 2026 16:26:00
Whether you think he's a rat or not, Liverpool would still be in the title fight with Arsenal and City if Trent had still been here this season. It is no coincidence that Salah's form has fallen off the cliff, since the only player who could give him the early ball he needs left the club.

08 Mar 2026 17:04:58
Maybe, but that only adds to the frustration that the bright lights of Madrid were too hard to turn down for him. But, sure as all the pundits said, "He'll win the title every season over there."

10 Mar 2026 03:51:22
All still sounds like an adolescent boy, broken hearted, because his girlfriend chucked him.
