I've been tokd we've come to an agreement over Diomande.
Should be announced in the week.
Won't get deep into finances, but it's around a £90m fee.

A 19 year old toyed with Hincapie in the first game and, although quiet, looked very comfortable and practically got an assist in a tight game against a good Germany team, and people are slatting him ffs.

You can only judge on what you see. Not impressed with what I've seen, and the money seems extremely high for a young lad.
Hopefully the club know what they're doing here. It feels like a bit of a risky punt. Would have thought differently if he'd been decent last night, but he wasn't.
Frimpong in same position is a better player, and that's saying something.
Hope he works out though, for sure. Would have been better buying a more seasoned player with experience winning stuff for this amount of cash in my humble opinion.
Can't wait for WC to be done...

Rayan all day long for me, Premier League proven, Diomende was poor versus Germany, the Bundesliga is a poor league compared to the PL, plus Hugo is better than him and probably back just after Xmas, Munoz will certainly add competition for both wing positions.
Quite obvious who Andoni will prefer out of the two, Rayan/Diomende, one he has managed or one he hasn't? Hopefully we can purchase both is the ideal scenario!
He is a straight replacement for Salah, no way will he match Mo's goals and assists, £60-70 million is a very fair price for him, one wonders if he has been recommended by Jurgen, who both get a wage from RB Leipzig.

On the back of what Robbo has said here, also received confirmation from senior Anfield sauces that preliminary orders of yams and cassava have been placed. Hopeful that something will be prepared ahead of his medical next week.
Also, been told to keep an eye on croissant movements to the UK in the coming weeks. Make of that what you will.

We signed El Hadj Diouf and Salif Diou on the back of World Cups. I wanted to gamble 100 million on him. I think we are sailing close to Barcelona waters, when they broke the bank for Dembele, Couuthino and Grizemam, that crippled Barca for years.

Judging Diomande on 2 games at the World Cup is just stupid imo.
He has all the attributes needed in the prem.

Igor Biscan, but we are not buying Diomande off the back of the World Cup. It is clear he has been identified as our no 1 target before the season ended. Who knows how it will turn out, but judging by his open letter he does appear to have a good head on his shoulders and an elite mindset...
that is something Diouf never had and is something that can take someone very far! He isn't a bad player either.

Said it before and I'll say it again. Diouf was agreed pre World Cup. Can't remember when Diao was signed, but I specifically remember paying attention to Senegal for Diouf because I knew he was coming.

Salah exceeded a lot of people's expectations when he arrived. He was older than Diomande too.
Even Mane turned out better than many expected, although he was solid in the PL for Southampton.
Diomande, Munoz, great. Let's not stop there, and, please, we need to plan for possible injuries, as it's a long season ahead and already Ekitike is missing.
We need options, we need back ups in every position, and a strong bench.
This is just the reality of wanting to challenge on all fronts.

Someone, phone Diomande's agent and tell the lad not to bother, as he is being judged on 2 World Cup games by fans and not the hours and months of game data and analysis by the club.
I am excited by the signing. The kid seems raw, but talented. The letter to his sister was heartbreaking. He deserves a chance. Not all signings will succeed and not all signings will fail, but let's at least give him a chance.
Plus, becoming like Barcelona, I am sure the club knows what they can and can't spend without crippling the club. Also, I don't think our net spend is even close to some of the other clubs in the Prem, so I think we need to chill and forget about finances.

Ffs, Diomande spent an hour ripping Germany to pieces. The goal was down to him destroying Kimmich, and putting in the assist.
All on the wing, he does not usually play from.
He and his team ran out of gas. Wirtz was dreadful until the end of the game.
