I would really appreciate ITK can share their perspective to this. What is the current club's stance on filling RW now that Diomande saga is over? Are we going to trust a newcomer like Morisson, or do we have any backup options? Maybe loaning someone like Ibrahim Diaz for a season might be an option. How is the feeling internally?
27 Jul 2026 06:26:43
Is the saga over?
27 Jul 2026 06:27:49
Can't remember which one, but one of them said we're now looking into Rayan.
27 Jul 2026 07:40:34
Oh, and if you scroll through some pages, you will read their views.
27 Jul 2026 08:06:59
I hope we don't sign Diomande, just looks like way too much baggage is coming with him.
But all this talk about him signing for Madrid is the same we heard about PSG.
It looks like no one is willing to meet RBL asking price up to now, and I can see why EUR100m is not enough.
I think it's way over the top.
He never even looked anything special in the World Cup, and we all know how poor the international stage is now.
27 Jul 2026 08:10:50
Someone may or may not have mentioned Barcola. Where have you been? lol.
27 Jul 2026 07:42:28
Wasn't that the poster with multiple personalities? Griz
27 Jul 2026 08:48:25
OP, Brahim Diaz? That would be scraping the bottom of the barrel. Woeful player.
27 Jul 2026 09:03:44
Barcola and Diomande were not for the same role. TheFields post, a bit further down, is really informative on that.
We need a LW to replace Gakpo as it looks like he's off to (probably) Bayern.
We need a RW to replace Salah - we were hoping that was Diomande; it may end up being Rayan or someone else. If we don't get one, then I imagine it will be shared between Chiesa and Munoz.
27 Jul 2026 08:23:19
I am reading all posts actively, Barcola is not a cover for RW, gakpo will most likely be heading out with Barcola coming in. Carra, Robbo, VG and other ITKs have been providing updates on new development specially on Barcola but I just want to discuss RW in this post and I believe we all agree that Diomande for LFC is an old forgotten story now.
*My only intention with this post, is to understand what people close to LFC are hearing about internal feeling and backup options if any for RW.*
27 Jul 2026 09:36:13
Forget Diomande, he's not signing. Who would want him with all the extra baggage? We need players without big egos. Rayan and Barcola would be amazing. Add Wharton and Kounde, and we are ready for the season. I was really impressed with the youth vs Sunderland. Morrison looks like he can get minutes this season.
27 Jul 2026 09:36:30
Tbh, I feel so sorry for Federico. He's a much better player than Slot ever gave him credit for. As for loan deals, would it be possible to sign Zabaryni and a forward at the same time? Brahim seems like a good idea and would take him for a good deal for a year, no more.
27 Jul 2026 10:10:05
Brahim Diaz is not a woeful player, Viktor. He might not, in your opinion, be up to standard for us, but you do exaggerate sometimes. It feels like players are only good or useless in your world.
27 Jul 2026 10:10:20
So Soccer Fan, can you tell me why exactly Diomande has a big ego. Or is this more guess work?
If someone chooses Madrid over Liverpool (who never bid for him) then they have a big ego, and are toxic and have baggage.
Whilst I respect your right to post, this is nonsense of the highest order. I’ll add you to the ignore list.
27 Jul 2026 10:20:50
Liverpool did have a bid rejected for Diomande earlier this summer, Inbeta. His agents seem sketchy though, that doesn't mean he has attitude problems himself though.
27 Jul 2026 10:31:46
Yes, the Diomande saga is well and truly over. He's going to Real.
It's interesting to note that in a podcast from a few weeks ago, he said he supported Chelsea and Man City. He's also said he had a Man Utd jersey, he put Ronaldo on the back of.
He stated previously that it was a dream for him to play for Liverpool, but also claimed that he has always loved PSG and it would be a pleasure to play for them.
We've dodged a serious bullet with this scam artist.
27 Jul 2026 10:35:23
I'm not going to judge Diomande, it's his career and he can do what he believes is right for him. It's a short career for these lads.
27 Jul 2026 10:53:12
Inbeta, when you have a shower of agents behind you with no grasp of the game and a mentality completely different to our own, that is ultimately baggage. A couple of boss seasons and then they're dangling the carrot to Madrid. Not necessarily the player, but ultimately the player makes the management decision, therefore risky.
27 Jul 2026 11:02:21
I broke the story about Alan Hansen leaving Alloa for us in 1976. I put little cards announcing the rumour in the windows of Spar, Quality Seconds and Bollom Dry Cleaners.
Everybody said it was clickbait even though such a thing wouldn't exist for some decades. Now I just annoy the usual suspects. I keep my goss as quiet as poss, ya dig?
27 Jul 2026 11:04:57
Chewy, good shout !!
Dodged a conman, in my opinion, here.
27 Jul 2026 11:16:13
Chewy, it's quite normal for people who live in countries where the leagues aren't great such as in Africa for fans to support the clubs their national team players play for or even just support successful teams because they like their style of footy. Drogba and Yaya were probably idols for most Ivorian kids. We have lots of fans not from Liverpool due to this same thing so we can't really use this against him.
Kids will even start supporting clubs because they like using them on FIFA nowadays. I was born and raised in Liverpool, and have family who support Rangers, so they're my 2 teams (although Rangers is a very distant second), but if I didn't have an affinity with any particular club, who knows who I'd support.
27 Jul 2026 11:18:25
Love it, LeBoeuf.
Right guys, clearly I am not going to win this argument. But it's just funny reading some of these comments about greed and ego and baggage. The guy is 19. I think if he was English and his surname was Smith, there would be a completely different narrative on this page. It never gets any better.
27 Jul 2026 11:19:57
I stand by my view on Diaz. One paced, weak, no end product. Woeful player. Never scored double figures in any team he's played for.
27 Jul 2026 11:20:54
And while we are at it, are all football agents not meant to be like this? All I ever read is how bad they are. So why single out this guy's agents? I am just trying to add a bit of balance to what is a stupid thread with some really ridiculous posts on it.
27 Jul 2026 11:53:10
I remember that advert on Hansen leaving Alloa, and told the shop keeper he played for Partick Thistle.
27 Jul 2026 12:30:06
Yeah, Diomande looks 90% odds for Madrid. We certainly are not at the table and have not been for weeks. Re alternative RW targets, I've got no clue to the insiders' info, but I've read secondhand of Minteh or Rayan as primary alternatives. Wouldn't be opposed to either.
Brahmin Diaz is not a bad shout as much as some are scoffing. He'd have to be fairly cheap and more of a stop gap to let Morrison and Abe develop imo. What's to say a Minteh/Rayan won't block Abe or Morrison, both whom I have high hopes for?!
27 Jul 2026 13:27:11
@inbeta1989 oh no my day is ruined by the thoughts of u ignoring me. Get a grip dude, and do your homework re Diomande. he's 100% not coming and not the player we need
27 Jul 2026 13:41:23
How are Real Madrid getting on ok with Diomande agents and LFC struggle?
27 Jul 2026 14:36:06
Soccer fan. I know he is not coming. The difference is, I can accept it like an adult and move on. But you are obviously a FIFA kid who reads pages like news now or even worse, twitter. And believes everything they read. Go back to reading your sub newspaper mate.
Just because a player doesn't want to sign for us, doesn't mean he has an ego or baggage. You don't knows so why make it up? I think I make a fair enough point
27 Jul 2026 15:01:23
Kopite_86, He's a grown man now and should recognize that he has a responsibility to act like one. Most professional footballers keep their boyhood clubs a secret unless they end up playing for them. Even when they're ousted by the media, they often deny it. There's a certain level of diplomacy to these things. I'm not saying that's necessary, but for me, it shows a lack of professionalism. Back in the winter when there were strong rumours we were interested, he said on a live stream that Liverpool was his dream club, outright, no hesitations.
Then when PSG were rumored to be interested, he completely backtracked. When talks with us broke down and it was rumored the likes of City and Chelsea reignited, then all of a sudden he's on a podcast claiming he supported them growing up.
It's all too convenient to be coincidence for me.
27 Jul 2026 15:30:48
Inbeta, u are clearly in love with Diomande, sorry if I insulted u or your significant other. He's a great guy, great agents and oozes class. Gee, he even got a tonne of goals and assists at the WC. Feel better now?
27 Jul 2026 16:26:46
Does he not want to sign for us though? Pretty sure one of the itk mentioned we moved away due to his agents and that he was disappointed about not getting the move.
The reality is, we don't know anything about his personality. What we do know is his agents have been very difficult and perhaps working in their best interests rather than their clients.
27 Jul 2026 16:44:01
Hansen came from Partick Thistle, not Alloa.
Clickbaiting 70s style.
28 Jul 2026 03:13:53
On the topic of agents, I think people think they're all evil because they don't really consider what an agent's job is.
Before he died, I had a chat with Mino Raiola about this very thing, and he said the job of an agent isn't to take care of a player's career, it's to make sure he's not destitute after it finishes, because the vast majority of players don't earn enough in their career to support themselves when they retire and have no income for the next 40 years.
