Hello ed1 hope u well. What do u think of barcola? No doubt we have serious interest in him from info that's about.
I've seen v little of him but the bits I have seen of him he has looked v average.the fee for him if we do sign him is rumoured to be around £100m mark which is serious dosh at any time for a player, u really would be expecting that player to be a game changer for your team

{Ed001's Note - I have barely seen him but the little I Saw was not at all impressive but it seems a better idea than Diomande. }

17 Jul 2026 19:07:07 You can see why we're going for these targets. Munoz also.
They have direct, raw speed. Which we lack.
How good they are is another conversation, but the majority of names we see pop up bring that Lightning pace.

17 Jul 2026 19:15:43 If it's direct raw speed we are after, then we may as well sign Adama Traore.

17 Jul 2026 19:53:43 You just wanna see his oiled up muscles, you Rover. 😂

I just can not believe we are not going to sign a proper no.6.
The squad and team is crying out for one.
I would rather spend a huge fee on one than any winger with no Premier League experience.
Let's get back to dominating the middle of the park.
It makes everything else easier.

Most people on here are in the same mind. However, Iraola has my trust, so let's see what his plan is first.

17 Jul 2026 18:34:10
Did Iraola play with a proper no.6 at Bournemouth?
1
17 Jul 2026 19:07:46 Ryan Gravenberch is a proper six. We won the league with him playing that role... Just saying...

Not sure if there's any legs to this as I'm not in ITK or anything.but have been told by someone who claims to be ITK that we are serious about signing sano of Mainz 🤷 don't even know if he's decent or anything as I've not seen him play.Does any of the EDS OR ITK'S on here heard anything?? and further more is he any good??

I was reported via one of the clickbait sites I got to via NewsNow yesterday or the day before.
So, your mate is not at all ITK, but just trawls the interweb!
There's some chat about Sano in the 'TopAlfie' thread on the Rumours page (currently 3-4 thread down) from earlier today.
He has a complicated recent history regarding his personal life, which may count against him.

17 Jul 2026 19:48:25 I reckon, Zed, if we get Sano, we should go all out for Benjamin Mendy and Mason Greenwood.

Hi peeps, I know we are seeking a few new replacements but if Ali moved on what are the decry replacements?
Are there good replacements out there?
Cheers.
0
17 Jul 2026 19:20:45 Diogo Costa and Gregor Kobel would be my picks.
Impossible to replace without some drop off though.
0
17 Jul 2026 19:33:50 Costa is definitely the one I would go for, but we'd probably have to break the TR for a GK again to get him.

Capology still have Rayan's release clause as £87m. Searching online it says that was the early speculation but it wouldn't come into effect until summer 2027. Reports also of a £130m release clause active from Jan 2027. Not sure which one is correct but Iraola surely knows. If we could get Barcola and Rayan for £200m that would be great business.

The £87m is closer to the mark, and Bournemouth would sell for around that regardless of it being active or not. Even my source down on the South Coast doesn't understand where the £130m reports come from.

17 Jul 2026 15:31:07
Yeah, the £130m made little sense.
I can see a deal around £70-£75m plus achievable addons if we go for Rayan.

In this market I think that would be a sensible buy. Small sample size, but we know he can cut it in Prem, and he has a huge margin for improvement. At the fees being quoted for other options, this feels like a no brainer to me.

Rayan and Barcola for £200m is great business? Barcola's second choice for PSG, and Rayan's scored 1 goal per month since joining the Prem. Am I missing something here?

17 Jul 2026 16:06:53
Yeah, you are Chewy.
If you think about it long enough, you may just discover it. :-)

17 Jul 2026 16:35:46
I don't always agree with Chewy, but I too am erring on the side of caution with this, particularly Rayan. Thinking about it, particularly Barcola as well.

17 Jul 2026 16:46:21
Barcola not for me, Hughes must be saving his gems for his new club when he leaves.

17 Jul 2026 17:43:11
Have a terrible feeling about spending 200m on Rayan and Barcola.

Have a worse feeling spending 120 million on Diamande.

I am quite certain that everyone on here knows a new Liverpool recruit who will not only know what every Bournemouth player's release clause is to the penny! But also what size football boots they wear?
Semenyo went for circa £65 million. A similar figure plus performance add-ons over the years should be a more realistic transfer fee of circa £80 million.
