Edd001 what did you make of trents goodbye? Do you look at it like me, gutted to see him really go and show his ability at Madrid? Or simply it's just a respectful bye? I remebr years ago you actually discussing him as becoming the captain and also a move abroad mate.
{Ed001's Note - I didn't really take any notice of him to be honest. He is moving so stopped being relevant to me. He has made his bed, now he has to lie in it and have all those regrets that he will no doubt have.}

It spoke a lot about him as a man. Picked up the trophy about 5 times before they likes of Gakpo touched it. Front and centre in each photo. After the boos, he should have recognised more humility. I was disappointed in him, but very proud of our fans.

We won't see him again in a LFC shirt, he's got his PL medal, and he seemed to enjoy his day in the sun yesterday with the rest of the squad.
I'd imagine we look to get a fee off Real next week and that combined with his last months wage will save the club a mill or two.

Trent got a good send off, yesterday. The cheers far out weighed whatever boos there were, unlike the Arsenal game. No way was the crowd going to let whatever dissenters there were get in the way of the party.
Personally, for me, nothing will beat the atmosphere of the Spurs game. An absolute outpouring of euphoria. Yesterday was just party time. So proud to be a Red this morning, and so excited for what lies ahead.

What was the latest on getting a fee to release him early? Last I read they had gone back on paying the fee to release him early. If that’s the case refuse to release him until his contract is up. Not meant in a bitter way to him. I just can’t stand the way Madrid operate.

I was finally over it being a topic but then he came and played that pass to Darwin and I was sucked back into the hurt.
I thought he took a bit of a liberty with raising his arms in the Jude style and kissing the badge when receiving his medal.

Strom, ironically trents signing a 5 year contract with Madrid, something he never wanted when here. So yes, it works swell for Madrid. If it doesn't work out which is likely BTW, I'm not elaborating. They get to sell our academy player and get money back on him.

Felt the celebrations after the match were somewhat a icy atmosphere created by the departure of trent. Chewing his gum. Sturridge is a awful pundit and should be nowhere near a pitch for me. The only time I felt any emotion for him was when his mum came and burst into tears. But as Ed said he's blown the emotions from most fans hearts. Should of been captain but lost desire for me.
