Isak has a 50 percent conversion rate of shots to goals, just 42 percent ahead of Darwin Nunez, and way ahead of Vlahovic.

50 percent shots to goals. That can't be right. He s good but not that good.
29 May 2025 18:15:34
Checked and he gets 50 percent of his shots on target. That's good.
Not as good as goals but still good.

Darwin is usually flagged offside before he even gets to shoot so I imagine his stats will also be good.

The top 10 in the Premier League this season (minimum of 10 goals) for conversion rate as per the BBC are:
1. Wood 29%
2. Strand Larsson 26%
3. Mbuemo 24%
4. Isak 23%
5. Salah 22%
6. Joao Pedro 21%
6. Wissa 21%
8. Haaland 20%
8. Mateta 20%
8. Johnson 20%
8. Shade 20%
Isak is nowhere near 50% conversion rate. That would be utterly ridiculous and he’d be the GOAT if that were the case. He would’ve scored 50 league goals last season from his 100 shot if your stated conversion rate was correct.

Chris Wood it is then.

Thankfully, MKS said it so I don't have to do it.

50% of the time, he scores everytime.

Think there is a Misinterpretation of what conversion rate means? as Ian Rush scored 346 goals in 660 appearances which equates to circa .52, which means 52% of the games he played he scored. Roger Hunt was 58% and Gordon Hodgson 64%, that is goals per appearances conversion rates.
Isak conversion rate must mean the same goals/ apps not shots to goals per game i. e. if he had 10 shots in a game he would score five goals every game, 8/ 4 goals, 6/ a hat trick 4/ 2 goals a game.

Conversion rates cannot be linked to appearances 007.
You convert a chance into a goal. You don’t convert an appearance into a goal.
I’d say that is just goals per appearances. Or a more accurate measure is usually goals per 90.

Anyone coming to the park to play footy - don’t forget we need jumpers for the posts and it’s goalie on the spot.
You can prove what ever you want or wish to see with statistics - God help us with data analysis. Where has all the fun gone .

Hello Navy Keith,
I have said exactly the same as you at the end of my first paragraph "goals per appearances" or goals per game (90).
If you don't have an appearance (injured, suspended, unused sub, not picked), then you can't score or convert chances into goals, it's impossible to score a goal if you're not playing or making an appearance in effect, so conversion rates are linked to appearances ( as if you don't play ye can't score or convert a goal in any game) .

I bet someone paid by the club is looking at who we should be signing.
I don't know why people have opinions on why we shouldn't sign or overpay for someone that we are not signing or overpaying for anyway.

This is the banter section of a transfer rumours page.

I'm just bantering about transfer rumours, Ernest.
Ignore me, I was just being a miserable old git!
30 May 2025 10:46:03
@Ernest, what are your rules covering ‘banter’? I ask because there are people on here (like my good self) who really enjoy banter right up to the point where we disagree or consider a person’s opinion to be less than 100% valid.
The thing is, no matter what’s said under the banner of banter, at the end of the day none of it really matters as we aren’t in a position to sway the club from their opinion and their actions. That said when serious, grown-up things impact us or the club you will find that there is 99.9% agreement on the board. It’s like a family that bickers and argues amongst themselves until someone upsets or offends a member of the family then the family acts as one. At least that’s the way I see it.
