few questions for you.
With Diaz seemingly leaving, amid carras post yesterday.
What do you make of Gordon? If we get him for 60mil let’s say, I don’t think it’s bad business, but then again I wouldn’t be against signing Joao Pedro either, so maybe my judgement is flawed lol.
Also, If you had your choice. Realistically, who would you like to come in to replace Diaz?
I’d love Rodgers!

Been saying Godon isn't good enuff since last season and that has not changed, IMO. He is nowhere near Diaz's nor Gakpo's level. Also like you, I have no idea why this Barcelona link to Diaz is a thing cos I have no idea how Barcelona is going to pay the (high) fee we will be demanding esp. after the season he just had with us.

It’d be a shambolic swap and would make us weaker.
I find it hard to believe myself, if we were to lose Diaz, I’m quite confident we’d get someone miles better than Gordon.

Not a direct replacement but I think Wirtz takes Diaz place in the squad. Could he be the new Firmino?
Gakpo is number one pick on the LW. We need an understudy with huge potential, possibly Malick Fofana.

Arne may yet swing another surprise such as Gravy to number 6 last season, and Florian could well play left wing, similar to Salah cutting in from the right with his natural left foot, Florian could also mirror Salah and cut in from the left with his natural right foot, the permutations that Florian will perform will give Arne many a nice problem?
This would mean a front three of Wirtz/ A. N. other (fingers crossed! ) / Salah, the midfield three can continue as last year aided by Jeremie and Milos pushing forward down the flanks.
Osmihen seems a "loose cannon", will he cause problems by wanting to be the very top wage earner at LFC, breaking significantly through the top limit at present towards half a mill a week, that can be his only reason to play football in Saudi Arabia (big, big"MONEY") as who wants to watch footballers who are all well past their sell by dates yonks ago! he may also upset the camp, as he seems to have the same manners as Ronaldo i. e. I take all the free kicks around the box and penalties and also assist the coach in picking the other 10 players, think Arne will swerve him good oh!

Arne Slot offered Florian Wirtz ownership of the No. 10 role at Liverpool while at Munich he would have to share it with Jamal Musiala.
Which was big factor in him choosing Liverpool.

I don’t mind Gordon and I don’t think he’s a bad player but at our level? No, I wouldn’t want him. At best, he’s decent. If we’re aiming to strengthen that position, he’s not the solution. I don’t see Diaz leaving anyway. As much as I wouldn’t mind if he did, I’ve never rated him, and I don’t think I ever will. Still, I expect he’ll sign a new contract.
The only reason I find it hard to believe Diaz isn't off to Barcelona is because they aren't stupid, why would they sign diaz? Does he improve them? Look at their squad. The rumours are circulating again because he has always wanted to be there so every single transfer window it's brought up.

Definitely think Gordon is an upgrade on Gakpo. I feel Gakpo is sort of a one trick pony, unless he can cut in on his right foot for a shot or cross then he seems to struggle. Doesn’t really know how to take a man on on the outside and makes him really easy to defend against. Also think Gordon would score more than Diaz in our team/ set up and would offer more pace in behind to get on to the creativity of Wirtz.
Just my opinion though. Think after the early progress we have made on signings we just need to trust the recruitment team… they certainly seem to have a plan this summer!

Don't think Gordon or Joao Pedro are good enough.
All these Barcelona rumours make me ponder, don't they have huge financial issues due to unforseen issues with the stadium refurb, or does that not indirectly effect the transfer kitty.

I definitely prefer Diaz on the left than Gakpo and I prefer Gakpo to Gordon. I think Diaz numbers would have been better if he wasn't forced to play through the middle. Only issue I had with Diaz last season was when the ball was in the air.

Sorry pressed post before I had finished. When the ball is in the air rather than attempting to get the ball or subtly knock into the opposition player he would look directly at the player and just run into him giving free kicks away.
That is a minor flaw though considering how much he brings to the team.
