If Wirtz gets 340 per week, What will Konate and Diaz expect?
Both of them are due a raise and fully justified.
esp Diaz who is on 55 per week.
We should either pay up or let them leave for a decent offer.
What do you guys feel?

People seem to pity Diaz because he earns more money in a week than most people earn in a year. He willingly signed that deal, I’d happily keep him for the next 2 years and let him go on a free, he’ll be 30 then anyway.

Sami I think some fans were concerned with wages during the Salah and Vvd contract negotiations as well mate but there’s been no news of players being unsettled over them.
I’d even go as far back as concerns were raised the previous Mo renewal as well and again the harmony has always seemed good.
Diaz has been looking for a new contract for some time now well before Wirtz.
The club seem to really know what it’s doing financially.

Bild are just guessing. However a £100+ million player and with it one of the top talents in Europe will be on a fair bit more than a relatively unknown and un proven Diaz and Konate were a few years ago when they signed their contracts. I'm pretty sure Konate will be sorted pretty soon as for Diaz there is too much noise and I see him moving on.

Diaz was happy to sign a 4 yr contract at 55k a week a few years ago. Why would he complain about it now?

I very much doubt wirtz would go into that pay bracket of 340k per week, only salah in that bracket for us I believe. I would guess he on around 200k per week.

Let another player run down his contract TB ?. Not for me and I hope the club don’t think that way either. Sign an improved contract or sell him . No more freebie’s.

Irish Rover it is better to keep a performing player on a sensible wage who has said himself that he is happy to stay than take a risk on let's say Rodrygo who would cost more than we get for Diaz and would want at least double what he currently earns and very well might not settle. If Diaz stays and has another top season I can't imagine that he won't be offered new terms.
