Can i ask ed001 who they'd like to see come into the team/ squad for next season. a CB and CF seem to be needed now we have wirtz and frimpong added already. what els edo we need and who would you like to ccome in Kerkez seems to be almost sorted according to the media but who out there is available and would be a good fit to improve the team.
{Ed001's Note - we defo need a cb, I have promised not to name the centre-back I want so as not to jinx his possible arrival, but he is in the Prem.
Centre-forward, I would be happy with someone like Stassin, if Alvarez, Isak and Martinez are unobtainable for us right now. Just someone who will actually score a few more goals and relieve some pressure from Mo.
We have cover pretty much everywhere now, so we only really need to replace those who leave other than that.}

Lucas Stassin, Ed001? I had never heard of him before. For anyone interested:
Lucas Stassin, 20, Belgian. Plays for St Etienne. They bought him for €10m last season. 28 games, 12 goals, 4 assists. 3 years left on contract.
Only one season playing in a top league but looks decent for a young player (from YT highlights that is) .
St Etienne got relegated so I imagine they might need to sell a few players. would cost that much I imagine.
Ed1, have we ever looked at Retegui? I think he's a devent all-around CF.

Interesting, Ed. Retegui would be my top pick if we can't get Alvarez or Isak.
I think Retegui and Lautaro Martinez would have a similar output but Retegui is younger (and maybe cheaper? )
In regards to CB, I have a couple of names I think might be the one you want but I won't say them ?.

Barry knows cos he’s the favourite son but I too believe its Emmanuel abgadou. Are we looking at him at all ed1? Look at me being all sneaky.

I'm not keen on stassin. a lot needed to improve on and in the Premier league I really think he'd struggle. Age is on his side but surely the scouting should be better. Where's the hidden gems around world football. It shouldn't be for smaller Premier league sides to take the chance then we look at them when they succeed. Stassin just doesn't look like he'll be a top striker. Not overly quick, decent on the ball and no more technically OK. We can do better.
