Congratulations to England ??????? women.

Couldn't care less to be honest. Fed up of it being rammed down our throats. They had the final on bbc1 and itv as well. The mens under 21 never got that much coverage the womans football got.

27 Jul 2025 20:13:40
I'm sorry Bulk, is your TV turning itself on and then gluing you to the seat and forcing you to watch the women's final or something?

27 Jul 2025 20:13:58
The lack of respect the women get is sickening sometimes it’s like everyone see them as a threat. It’s their own game and they represent our nation and have every right to be praised.

Why would a euro final with our team in the final not be on tv?

27 Jul 2025 20:15:13
I have the same emotional connection to it as say watching a British athlete win at the Olympics but it absolutely should be on BBC and ITV. The mens finals are so why not the women's?

27 Jul 2025 20:22:00
Man I totally forgot about this game until I seen this result.

And I wanted to know the result lol

Hardly being rammed down anyone’s throat.

27 Jul 2025 20:41:55
I'm not a huge fan of international football in general but to win back to back championships is a great achievement so well done and congratulations to them. As someone said above the men's game gets put on both channels so why not the women's.

27 Jul 2025 20:26:58
of the day award goes to THE INCREDIBLE BULK you always get one well done LIONESSES ???.

27 Jul 2025 20:45:18
It does get a lot of coverage but no as much as the men’s England ??????? team. Quality is not as good as the men’s but the women’s Olympic 100m is nowhere near as fast but it is still on tv.
I don’t watch hardly any international football but I will watch the finals and do I want England ??????? to beat a team from Spain ?? falling over all the time to right I do. So sulk it up bulk.

27 Jul 2025 20:52:28
Piss poor that Bulk. Congrats Lionesses!

27 Jul 2025 21:05:35
The mistake people make is comparing Women’s football to Men’s football. It’s pointless they are virtually different sports.

Was it Lucern under 15s boys team that beat the Swiss Women’s National team 7-1 a couple of months ago?

Men are bigger, stronger, faster and generally more athletic by nature so it’s only natural that the 2 games are played differently.

That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy both if you take them for what they are. Personally international football bores the pants off me regardless of the players’ gender.

27 Jul 2025 21:15:21
Pathetic take with five incel upvotes.

27 Jul 2025 21:29:55
I have no skin in the game really lads cos I'm not English, and to be perfectly honest, I'd happily see no English side of any gender or age group win another game again for the rest of time.

But which is more worthy of celebration:

The women's team that has won consecutive European tournaments.

The men's team that hasn't won anything since 1966 and has consistently been less than the sum of its parts for as long as I've watched football. No one complains about the 2021 and 2024 Euro finals that shower somehow staggered and stumbled their way to being on TV.

Congratulations to Lionesses L.

Keep the coverage coming. Looks like we need more exposure to help push a few blokes along the way to get over themselves

Imagine being such a hater that you can’t get over yourself to give even a golf clap to the woman footballers.

Special kinda special there.

Massive congratulations to the lionesses on their triumph today. I am lucky enough to know three of the girls involved in the first eleven today. My daughter played in the same academy teams as them, and were it not for a serious knee injury, she may have been there today as well.

The effort, commitment and dedication they apply to their careers is no less than the men, so they should absolutely be celebrated. I, along with my daughter, would openly admit to prefer watching men’s football. But, that takes nothing away from the women’s achievements today.

Despite the fact, circumstance could have been very different for my daughter, she is over the moon for her friends and their achievements. No resentment, no bitterness and she is more than content with the hand she has been dealt. It is something I couldn’t be more proud of, and something I would like to carry forward in my life.

Congratulations England on winning back to back euros titles. You all deserve the accolades coming your way.

Cheers.

England men have had some fantstic players over the years and won one trophy on their own patch and England women have won back to back European cup final beaten in a world cup final. I wonder what the men feel like being out done by the ladies? Well done ladies.

27 Jul 2025 23:02:08
Amazing achievement by the Lionesses! Hopefully, they'll inspire more women and girls to take up the sport.

27 Jul 2025 23:53:58
I don't like watching women's football, I just find it too slow in comparison to what my brain has been trained to think of as "good" football.

I'm also Scottish.

Congratulations to the Lionesses, it's a tremendous achievement in their given sport, and should be celebrated.

If you don't like it, don't pay attention to it. I'm sure sports like golf and tennis get plenty of coverage in the UK, but I don't follow them so I don't notice any of it.
