I was never keen on Kerkez and so far I have not seen anything to suggest otherwise. Considering we are setting up as a 3 at the back when in possession, could Geuhi be deployed as a left back. He has done it for England and gravitates there for Palace. Play a 3,2,4,1 formation.

I wasn't keen on Kerkez either but he is only 21 and gets my full support now he's here. No doubt he'll improve as time goes on.

I genuinely can see Slot abandoning his 40 mill left back after 3 games.
Has Guehi ever played at 10 cause he could also replace Wirtz then as well.

Hope not Guehi is a right footed centre back so don’t see that. As for Kerkez when he went off against Bournemouth it was 2-0 so can’t blame him for them goals and I might be wrong but don’t think there are too many wingers faster than the two he has just come up against. Still very early in the season with two wins from two games and we have not looked good yet so let’s not forget he is still very young.

Give him time.
Once everyone understands their roles in this new set up we will see him have some good games.
I think it depends on who’s going to be playing at right back as well. If frimpong is playing then he’s going to have to be a lot more reserved, but I think when Bradley plays they will take turns to push forward.
I thought he was really poor for the goal the other night but no doubt Slots had a bit of a word, if he takes on what’s being taught then he’s going to be very special.

Apart from the goal, I thought Kerkez was OK on Monday.
He's young and needs time, but I think he has all the topls.
I always thought this season would be a transitional one where Robbo and Milos would battle it out across the season.

Other than the goal I thought he did pretty well after that.
Ribbon took 6 months to get into the team when he first came, this lad has been thrown straight in, with 2 difficult games for different reasons.

Kerkez will come good I've no doubt, only young and for type of player he is I always felt the 1st half of season would not be 100% smooth but he will get better as season goes on and he settles down imo.

We offered the same opportunity to Robbo when he first arrived all those years ago. I’m sure we can do the same for Kerkez and back him. He’s young and will only improve.

Why do people post nonsensical responses. JK it’s called having options. Just like when we had to deploy Gomez at LB or Szob at RB. If Geuhi can play the position adequately then he provides an option and alleviates pressure off Kerkez allowing him to integrate into the team slower. It also creates an added option of playing Kerkez in the 4 flanking Geuhi and getting up the pitch at will.

Why would Slot put a CB as a LB when he have enough LBs? The argument of Gomez and Szob were deployed as fullbacks, for me, is irrelevant. At that time we were short.

Very harsh on a guy who was one of the best LB's in the league last season and is 21. Maybe give him the same respect that the other young guys get, he's a proven PL LB and as rightly stated above we were 2-0 up when he went off at Bournemouth.

Robertson didn't become a regular until around December in his first season with us. It takes time for young players to adapt to a new system. I'm sure, in time, Kerkez will become a top player for us.

Looking at your previous posts you’re very keen for the club to go 3 at the back. I personally can’t see it myself.
We currently have 3 left backs in the squad and I think it would be a tough sell to Guehi to tell him he’s coming to Liverpool to play out of position in World Cup year.
Just my opinion though.

Hato should have been signed as a competition for Milos, Hato was also able to cover CB as well.
Robertson stunk the place out after xmas last year, two own goals, got sent off against Fulham at home in the first half, sadly after his shoulder injuries he's fell of a cliff. A total disaster when asked to play makeshift centre half last season also.
Past reputations get you nothing in this game, Hato was the future, Robertson is the past.

Kerkez didn't play well but was up against Elanga who is very fast . plus he's trying to settle in a new team etc but we can still use robbo when needed . always going to be. Tough start for him same for wirtz.

Kerkez has not had an auspicious start but he walked into a catatonic team that was grieving hard. Cut him some slack and give him time to adapt to his new surroundings, new teammates and new style of play.
When I start a new job I have a hellish first month and only when I am 3 months in do I start to relax and feel confident in my environment. And I am 54, not a young lad like Kerkez.
Having Szoboszlai there will help him immeasurably and I think he will come good. Maybe not as quickly as game #3 but after the international break I think we will see a different player.

He's a player that Slot was interested in. He's 21 and has played w matches in a new system. I think patience will be a virtue here.
As mention earlier, many players have taken time to adjust and come good. If the team wanted him, I'm anxious to see how it goes!
