Agreed w pretty much all especially Salah being dreadful. Cody and Salah very predictable the latter getting the ball too far away from goal a lot of the time. I thought Wirtz was very good in moments the last 20 mins he was on the pitch. How the lad didn't get a straight red for that challenge on Macca is beyond me. Lucky he didn't break his ankle.

Going forward. We were absolutely dreadful. Not going to sugarcoat it, we missed Trent today. Pains me to admit that
Wirtz was brought in exactly for this type of game, and along with others, he was pretty much useless.
But, a win is a win, we move onto Atletico, really nice game to get Anfield going before the derby.

For me Wirtz was easily as good as Gakpo or Ekitike today.
He did a lot of decent stuff but burnley were throwing bodies on the line.
Is he firing on all cylinders yet, no. But he is working hard and improving. It's coming.

I don't know who says a player is brought just to break teams like Burnley. Wirtz was fine for me. As a if the entire media is not out there trying to put pressure on him due to the price tag, at least we should stop complaining. If there was a lack of effort, it is fine to go for his head. But let us call down a bit.

Do think Slot did the right thing with Kerkez today - he does have a bad habit of really diving into challenges, not to mention the actual dive. Hope one of his teammates gives him a chat about not doing that again; not something I ever want to see from our players. Massive changes across the pitch and they will settle down in time. Winning these matches while ‘bedding in’ is a big bonus. Burnley were there to weather the siege today but we got our reward for persevering.

I love reading these analysis about our team. Did most people not see that Burnley had 5 5 formation and had parked 10 buses behind the ball which is nearly impossible to break down especially away from home. We had 94 percent possession in the second half for 15 minutes at one stage.
We bought well but like everything we need them to gel together. Some people expect miracles every match but I won't complain as we are top of the pile and not playing to our formidable selves yet. Give it time lads and for God's sake stop THE COMPLAINING
Rant over.

I couldn’t disagree more about Kerkez’s ‘brain dead challenge’. I don’t even think it was a foul. He was tight against the attacker but he dived, just as much of a dive as Kerkez did himself (which was ridiculous, we can agree on that) .
In fact about 10 seconds before that there was a similar incident where Salah was being manhandled with arms around his neck from behind and the ref gave a free kick to Burnley!
I just wish that against these teams we could start with more tempo. The first goal is so important in these games and we should go for the throat from the off to get it. Then the game will open up and we can pick them off.
It seems though that Slot wants us to be patient, keep possession and wait for an opening. The problem with doing that is the longer the game goes on at 0-0 the more dogged and determined they get. I said in the first half it’s like we are waiting for them to make a mistake but without actually trying to force the mistake. Luckily the mistake came in the end.
I’ve noticed this season that we are trying to play everything through the middle too, the incisive passes are always through the lines in the middle of the pitch. But when they have 10 behind the ball and are flooding the middle the passes get cut out or as soon as the player receives the ball they are challenged. It’s all too tight.
We needed Kerkez on one side and Frimpong on the other, overlapping the wingers so we could stretch them out. This was not a game for Szob coming inside from Right back because it just crowded any space that Wirtz or Ekitike could’ve exploited.
I feel a bit sorry for Wirtz because he’s just not receiving the ball in space so he can do his thing. I also think he’s trying too hard, he’s perpetual motion always looking for an angle but sometimes you just need to stand still and the space will open up.
All in all it’s 4 wins from 4 without hitting our stride yet. But we won’t keep getting away with late wins.

FedeRIGI has appeared now as a Sub in four premier league games this season so far when the scoreline has been drawing the game!
FedeRIGI has walked off the pitch at the end with four premier league victories!
Big shout out to Brentford particularly Kelleher, Van de Berg, Henderson a 70 yard pass for the first goal, and Carvalho in scoring a late equaliser! every little helps?
Just shows how bad England are with selecting COLD Palmer? Chelsea are only set up to counter attack, their problems are when they have to come out to win a game? there the same as Burnley with different colour shirts? Arsenal v 115 charges and counting next weekend!

2 clean sheets in a row. Teams cannot win, if they cannot score against us.

Robo and Bradley made the difference. They should start ahead of Kerkez and Frimpong. Kerkez and Frimpong need to earn their places and so far they have not, a transfer fee should not give them a free pass!
