Is Ekitike Nunez with goals? More suited to us than isak, love the kid.

He's looking pretty special isn't he, outshining Isak right now, although I'm sure Isak will have his time this season as well.

Totally agree I had been studying ekitike for a while there are still levels to go up from him and he is a joy too watch, if isak is injured the correct striker is starting .

Ekitike has done brilliantly since he’s come in but Isak is one of the best in the world.

The beauty of it is we don’t need to sit here comparing them or debating who is the best because both are Liverpool players thankfully.

I am certain Isak will score an absolute hatful of goals for us though. He is different class. Ekitike looks like he’s not far behind him though.

Nunez with goals and the ability to stay onside and much better control. Hugo is boss.

23 Oct 2025 04:12:02
I think comparing Ekitike to Nunez is doing a huge disservice to him because they are entirely different players. Ekitike is a cool cucumber whereas Nunez wears his heart in his sleeve. If I had to compare Ekitike to a previous player, I'd be saying he is most similar to Torres. Calm under pressure with pace and a wicked shot.

23 Oct 2025 05:11:32
The only real difference between Ekitike and Nunez is that one is a very good young footballer who could grow into a world class player and the other one ‘causes havoc’ apparently.

23 Oct 2025 06:30:56
Etitike is closer to Nuno (espirito santo) than he is Nunez.

Been a shining light this season for us.

23 Oct 2025 06:57:21
Bench Isak and play Gakpo, Ekitike and Salah up front.

23 Oct 2025 07:00:06
WDW how dare you.

Nunez caused chaos not havoc ?.

23 Oct 2025 08:38:45
Isak isn't fully fit yet while Eketike is so the comparison is a bit strange and clearly unbalanced. Just adding context.

{Ed078's Note - hmmm. There's "fully fit" and there's "looking all over it". I believe Isak will be absolutely fine for us, but Hugo is showing much more than being "fully fit" in comparison.

23 Oct 2025 09:13:59
I'd rather see gakpo and isak swapping out of the squad.

23 Oct 2025 09:30:50
Ekitike may just be “the next Isak”.

He looks like a guy who is ready to burst into his prime right now.

23 Oct 2025 09:47:42
I’d like to see Ekitike, Isak and Chiesa as a front 3, with Dom, Gray and Wirtz as the 3 in midfield, with Kerkez and Bradley using the flanks. That said, Gakpo has a happy knack of scoring …. so might just get the nod ahead of Chiesa.

Quite a few posters said Ekitike was “Isak a few years before he became one of the elite strikers”.
They justified this by looking at many things including his stats in Germany.

I have to say, I was very sceptical and mocking of that view.

I was completely wrong about that and fair play to the posters who saw it.

Ed, I fully agree. Not worried about Isak, myself. I just don't see the comparison right now as being valid under the current circumstance esp. as we know how great Isak is when you know, "fully fit", lol.

Eketike on the other hand is even better and more clinical than I thought so Im happy to be constantly surprised with him moving forward.
