I'm with Ed025 here. Szob should have won it since he was by far our best player thus far. Not sure if it was fan voted though cos if it was, it could be just that fans wanted to send a message to play him more. Either that or we all have red tinted lenses on ;)

Fair point Ed, still good that he's getting the recognition for his contribution.
{Ed025's Note - he did contribute when he was on the field Robbo, but Slob played a hell of a lot more minutes sometimes in a position that was not familiar to him and scored and provided your energy for me mate..

Chiesa only made 1 league appearance in Oct and that was for 18 mins and came off the bench at half time Wed when we’re 3-1 up.
He actually had a far better Aug and Sep. Possibly a message to Slot as Ed has said above but I doubt he’ll take much notice of what fans are wanting online.

Slot has an agenda with Chiesa and for some reason doesn’t like starting him I think he should be given a chance from the start of the game instead of Mo ghost Salah who looks well past his best and should be sold asap whilst we can get some decent money for him as his age is finally catching up with him.

Its kinda funny Ed25, a player that didn't play much and not in 1st eleven most of the times win POTM. He did score couples of goals when coming as a sub though, that's probably why. And we've been on 4 match losing streak. Plus others has been playing poorly bar him and Szobo as you said.

The only agenda is from the fans. Chiesa has done ok recently but it’s a hell of a lot different coming on when we are dominant and pushing for goals than starting and having to actually play a position to get to that point.
I can 100% see why he doesn’t start but that doesn’t mean he can’t be an effective squad member.

It's the clubs Player of the Month, not many who started games could hold their heads high, he burst a gut when brought on unlike most, he scored and he assisted, again unlike a lot. So why not, it's a very low bar his comrades set but that's on them.

Only one who consistently played better Ed25 but there's zero value in the club giving a PotM to Szob, in comparison giving it to a bit part player boosts their confidence, shows non starters it can be won from the bench and in my opinion is a great physiological boost for all players.
Or give it to Szob who probably has a bag of them. and it will offer no incentive to him or others, I think it's a great decision and I'm sure Szob is not throwing a sissy about it like a Ronsldo or Messi would.
Plus a lot of fans on here, other forums and guys I know love that he's being recognized when Slot obviously doesn't unless his back is against the wall and he throws the kitchen si k on to get or save a result.
Just my thoughts though.

Balon D'Ors come to mind as prizes that don't go to best players, in my opinion it's subjective, so it's not always the best player that wins.
I think if a club or group of players think a guy has been worthy then good for them.
Szob's been the outstanding player for us this season so far but it's a low bar, I like that Chiesa got it, and I hope the club are willing to acknowledge the 'bit part players', I think that's great for team sports.
