This Arsenal team NOW will rip us apart.
03 Jan 2026 19:29:27
Particularly if they keep getting every decision and manage to waste half of the added on time.
03 Jan 2026 19:30:39
Yeah but we've been told Arsenal aren't entertaining either and it's all about results.
I'm guessing their extra 15 points helps disguise how fed up of their boring football their fans are witnessing.

Madness isn't it Endo. This time last year you'd have us as the stronger and better team hands down. Fast forward to now and after a summer of adding arguably the best striker in the league, one of the best attacking talents from France, the most sought after creative attacker in the world, two of the best attacking fullbacks in the English and German leagues and a promising CB, and someone we are miles off them?
If that doesn't tell you Slot is the issue, I don't know what does.
Just my opinion mind.

Hope not as I'm going.

Didnt think they were great tbf, no idea how the ref can blow in a mid attack either to save them.
They found a way to win, but it was far from brilliant.

Having watched arsenal a few times this season already, they are head and shoulders above us in game style, very organised and will go for the jugular against us and will probably win or very least get a point minimum. We'd have to play very well to get a point atleast at there ground, we haven't played great since Madrid so forget that happening. Fulham are a solid team and give most teams a game, and will give us a game also. Think they'll definitely score against us, and could actually beat us, much better than wolves, Sunderland and leeds.
The common issue is every team has better fitness still, and a better coach who attacks the other team.
The next 2 games I'd settle for 2 points right now unfortunately.
Only 1 solution to this mess, but as been mentioned by loads of us, no managers out there currently. I fully believe salah has been thrown under the bus by this fool and that is why we are where we are. Even if all of a sudden he went back to klopps tactics he needs to go.

Did we watch the same game? Tbf i missed the first 20 min and the last 15 min but from what I watched they weren't impressive and Bournemouth cur through them pretty easily.

My concern is that Arsenal's ability to get results over the line, in tight games, is oddly reminiscent of how Liverpool won the league last year. They have perfected the set piece game, which has suddenly become the difference maker in football, and are now grafting out results, even when the opposition perform well. Arsenal will, regrettably, win the league this season, and I fear it may not be the only trophy they claim this season.
How we have gone from Champions, signing some of the most exciting and/ or prominent players in world football, to scraping for 4th. How that is even possible is beyond me. We're not even pushing for 3rd, the gap between us and Villa is an actual joke. Briggs seems to be the regime's sacrificial lamb, the person to blame for all their faults this season.
But, that will only fool those in charge of the club. Unless something changes in management, Liverpool won't be in a position to compete. You can have the best players in each position, but if the manager doesn't know how to use them, then it is a moot point.
Adding players now will likely put a plaster over an open shotgun wound.

To be fair, the arguably best striker in the PL as barely kicked a ball, and looks as fit as I do. One of the best attacking talents, from Germany, is taking longer than we all hoped to settle in. One of the best full backs from Germany as been out injured most of the season so far, and the other talented full back from the PL, according to some on here, is the worst full back since Konchesky. How's that down to Slot?
Just my opinion mind.

I suppose we won't know properly until next season when all players have a proper pre season and are settled, but that's a big if Slot makes it that far. Based on how objectively bad our performances have been it's pretty simple though from my perspective Rome TBH. Fitness issues are down to prep work which has been well documented from those in the know on here as lacking with the regime change, and the tactical approach that doesn't lend to players strengths is Slots choice. None of those players bought are playing in a system that that they thrived in to build them their positive reputations. As I've said before, even if the players were drowning tools completely, it's still Slots job to get them to perform and buy into what he is trying to achieve.
He's the boss, he's responsible. He came in with a reputation of being flexible and I'm not seeing it. Whatever way you look at it I'm not having that this LFC squad shouldn't be capable of consistently strong challenging on all fronts.
Iv always maintained that I hope Slot proves me wrong, I just can't see it happening and I think the longer we continue down this path the more damaging it will be. I spent my entire life praying for LFC to get back to the top (I'm 38 so wasn't around for the pre 90's glory days), and I'm watching all that work from 2015 until now being seemingly undone. So sorry but i'm bloody pissed about it and not going to defend the chap allowing it to happen!

Arsenal, my arse!
I've won the same amount of European Cups as they have!
I just got to celebrate more ?.
04 Jan 2026 05:10:33
Arsenal will thrash us easily we are terrible all thanks too slot who should of been sacked ages ago we will be lucky get fourth place under this fraud I dread too think how many points we will finish behind Arsenal who will finally win the league under arteta.
04 Jan 2026 12:07:48
How did we go against Arsenal early this season?
04 Jan 2026 12:09:15
Rome⦠fitness for a start, secondly tactics are garbage as we both know and thirdly all these subs he's making during games aren't making sense. If he's a coach flipping coach, but fitness is shocking. The only team we looked fitter than was Burnley in prem. I'd say, all the other have had more legs than all our lot. Apart from szob, ekitike and wirtz probably.
04 Jan 2026 12:18:54
Rome, I disagree on Wirtz. he has fully adapted to the PL and his improvements are there for all to see to the point of being our best pperformer and winning a couple of MOTM awards. Wirtz is that dude and he is everything I thought he was when I watched him at Leverkusen. He ain't the problem. Those lie elsewhere.

Arsenal have a mental block against us Arteta bigs us up so much that they sh*t their pants just driving past the Arsenal ground and can here you will never walk alone playing on the tannoy Arteta getting his players ready for next week .
