Here's one for debate, who has disappointed you the most in a Liverpool shirt this season and why? Plenty to choose from but for me it has to be Macallister, the play acting alongside disappearing in games has been hard to stomach.

VVD a close second just for the drop off in performance levels, although ever present and on his day still one of the best around.

{Ed025's Note - Konate..

Salah for me, comparing to last season he's been a huge disappointment. Isak - but he hasn't had a pre-season so it's expected. Wirtz - still early days, he's getting there. Gravenberch - again, bunk compared to last season.

15 Jan 2026 18:07:25
Salah and Gakpo.

15 Jan 2026 18:33:44
Macallister and Gravenberch for me - Probably only 2 games they put real shift in were Villa and Madrid.

15 Jan 2026 18:51:11
Agree with Mac Allister, he's frustrating to watch. After him it'd be Konate for me. Both of them are nowhere near good enough for us.

15 Jan 2026 19:16:34
Gakpo as he is somehow a starter. But realistically probably mac and konate. both have been beyond underwhelming.

15 Jan 2026 19:17:53
Slot and his tactics.

15 Jan 2026 19:18:26
He doesn't wear the shirt but the manager has disappointed me the most.

15 Jan 2026 19:25:16
MacAlister.

15 Jan 2026 19:40:53
Konate and Macca.

15 Jan 2026 19:43:38
Macca and Gakpo.

15 Jan 2026 19:50:36
Konate by a mile then Macallister.

15 Jan 2026 19:56:04
Macca, gakpo, grav, I give kerkez a pass the kids trying but being hindered. And isak the 125 million pound Nunez replacement well he's nearly replaced his goals shame he hasn't replaced his availability he might match them goals then. Ibou has been crap but again I don't lay all the blame at his door.

15 Jan 2026 20:40:56
Macca had a op in the close season, i presume this made his pre season very short, that has had a knock on effect during the season.

15 Jan 2026 21:26:35
Wow, its Virgil all day and nite. The rest always had bad days/ games/ periods in them. Virgil was the only world class player who's just been shocking this season. It's where you where to where you are now and VVD has fallen off a cliff.

15 Jan 2026 22:00:25
Curtis Jones'll be chuffed - he has been the whipping boy for a good few years but hasn't got a mention in the 'feel good' post of the day. Sad that such a question is asked by a fan and even sadder that people put forward their selections.

15 Jan 2026 22:31:48
Salah, gakpo, konate and macca none should be starting but what do I know.

15 Jan 2026 23:25:31
Slot!

16 Jan 2026 00:05:07
Konaté 1st
Macca 2nd
VVD 3rd
Salah 4th
Kerkez 5th 3 of the above are our regular starting defenders which says it all. Konate, the most erratic of all needs to go, VVD is on the decline, live the guy but he is not getting better from here on, Kerkez, headless chicken and not my preference in the summer (liked Hincapie) we are poor all round at the back, added now with Bradley being injured and Big Joe being made of crisps it's not good to see.

We need 2 CBs and a RB minimum.

16 Jan 2026 00:42:14
I'd say Konate, but I've never thought he was going to take the next step and look like he could take over VVD I'd say Mo, except that I've never thought he was the kind of player to drag the club out of a crisis Final call is Macca.

slight grace as he had no pre-season, but he has overall been horrific at the worst possible time for us.

16 Jan 2026 05:31:18
WDW, if the post doesn't interest you just skip by. I would put this under 'pub talk' its ok to be disappointed sometimes, I like to get others opinions positive or negative about the team as I don't have many people available privately interested in the club or sport. I always try to be balanced with my opinions.

16 Jan 2026 09:27:35
Konate and Isak. I think under any other manager, Konate would have been benched months ago. Accident waiting to happen in every single game. Isak. I know he didn't have a pre-season but his body language doesn't inspire from what I've seen. Maybe I'm being too harsh on the lad but with the opportunity he's been given, I'd expect more from him.

16 Jan 2026 09:28:56
Mac allister's form has nosedived, so it has to be him for me. Arguably this could be a result of the change in team shape/ tactics etc., but this doesn't adequately explain the sudden uptake in theatrics, which are absolutely not befitting a Liverpool player.

16 Jan 2026 11:28:34
Curtis Jones for me because he has so much natural talent but hardly ever uses it in the right areas he reminds me of the late great Ray Wilkins when at man united he was told pass sideways or backwards but when he left for AC Milan he was allowed to play his own game and was outstanding and i think Slot needs to let Curtis lose take the shackles off him .
