With Robbo being gone, are we expecting Tsimikas back next season? Or is he moving on? It feels like we need a lot of new bodies as it is.

From earlier posts, the expectation is that Tsimi will return to be an alternate to Kerkez, who has settled in well during last season.

Yes. We will see the return of the Greek scouser.

Definitely makes our lb options weaker tho.

I'd disagree with you there, Irish.
1) Kerkez took some time to settle last season. He's settled now, so should be at a higher level for more of the season.
2) Robbo is the better player, but his legs have been going for some time.
Tsimi is a bit younger, so what he lacks in terms of Robbo's talent, he will make up in legs! He's also got just as much passion.

I don't mind Tsimi back, I love him. Like Robbo, he's one of us.

I have no issues with Tsimiks coming back. He loves the club. The fans love him, and he has always played his heart out for the club. What's not to like, esp. as a backup option?

I, for one, am excited for Iraola's team of
Ali, Tsimikas, Virg, Gomez, Bradley, Endo, Jones, Baj, Chiesa, Darwin & Elliot taking the league by storm.

Don't mind Tsimi back, unless Chambers or Beck really step up in pre season.

The guy made 6 starts for Roma and roughly 700 minutes all season. He is definitely a downgrade on Robbo. Just because he's a likeable guy won't make up for his lack of quality compared to Robbo.

Are we comparing to prime Robbo or the Robbo of the past two seasons? Tsimi is more than capable of being back-up to Kerkez, but the concern for me is his injuries. He always takes some time to get going, and by the time he does, he somehow ends up injured.
I don't think LB is a priority area for us atm, since we also have Beck and Chambers who can play there and should be able to deputise for Kerkez.

Tsimi has never let us down, he gets stuck in and he gets the fams and the city. He won't be a starter but he will be a good squad member. Or should we spend £30-40m for someone to sit on the bench?
20 Jun 2026 07:00:11
Last season Robbo started 36% of LFC games.
Totally get it's a new manager, so might be different, but Tsimikas or the back up left back will be expected to start games next season.
Ok, a separate note. Hopefully, we don't end up with 7 different players playing right back again.

Interesting debates these.... Jones, a local lad, is not deemed good enough, and we should sell to the highest bidder, but Tsimi is seen as a good squad player.
imo... both are the perfect squad players.
The trick is to convince them of such... whilst giving them an opportunity to compete for starting places.

Personally, I'd sell Tsimikas and let Beck & Chambers compete to be back up, waste of a non HG space in my honest opinion. P
20 Jun 2026 10:32:24
Agreed, VV. If Chambers or Beck are good enough, they should be given the spot ahead of Tsimikis.

I agree with Viktor. He also has 1 year left on his deal, so why lose him on a free too? Sell him and let Chambers & Beck battle it out in pre-season to be Kerkez's back-up. Kerkez will now work with the guy that made him one of the best LB's in the league, so I have very high hopes for Kerkez.
