I'm not a United fan but Ronaldo as a person is a top guy, does loads for charity and is always happy to spend time with fans. He is 40 but I can tell you now that in his prime, you all would have creamed your pants if he joined us.

I met Ronaldo once when he was playing for United the first time round.
He was quite apologetic for standing on my foot.
Nice enough fella but you could tell he absolutely loved himself and was in this strange little bubble.
Just a bloke that's completely obsessed with himself, his legacy and image really. Wouldn't say he was a bad person but also not a good person.

He's a top person? He's the face of a sportswashing project and was fawning over a certain president at the white house last year. I can accept people saying he was a great player, but saying he should be lauded for his person seems a bit much.

Tbf if someone says they like Trump, it does raise some eyebrows for me. Especially after everything that he has done or said.
Anyway, back to Ronaldo, I'm not sure why his release clause being 42mil is such a big issue. In Spain where release clauses are required by law, it's not uncommon for release clauses to be exorbitant. Yamal has a release clause of 1billion and I don't see any club being able or willing to pay that amount. Even Fati has the same release clause of 1billion despite him never reaching his full potential. It's not an issue when it's the la Liga so i don't see why it should be an issue when it's done in the SPL.
