Alexis Mac Allister's father (Also his agent) has just revealed that there are currently no negotiations taking place to extend Alexis Mac Allister's contract at Liverpool.

Diaz's dad talked too much, and Diaz was sold, and I don't think it will be too different in Macca's case. He will be sold.
PS: I know Diaz's dad went through s*** in Colombia, and I am not insensitive to the fact that fathers would want the best for their son.
But this is business, and I just don't see a future for Macca with us, and def his dad talking out loud would ease that decision for the club. It's just the way it is.

We won the league with him! He was pivotal last season. He's being played out of position in a team that is unfit, and has the worst tactics. Yes, he exaggerates injuries all the time (which I can't stand), but he's a great player and the only one of our squad who is a World Cup winner.
We need a world class manager who can get the best out of our world class players.

Alexis might be a soft touch, and his best assets are not particularly suited to the league, but I'm not having it that he's a rubbish player all of a sudden, because the team isn't having a great year, and he's probably better suited further forward than he typically plays for us.
He'll do very well in Spain, I think, and all the best to him if he does go.

Flidby - Cristian Romero is a World Cup winner, as is Mario Goetze, and yet neither should ever be signed by Liverpool. Mac Allister has a goal/screamer in him, but that is about as much as he offers and no more. In fact, his fashionable nationality and Messi connections have shielded him from criticism in a way that players from other places wouldn't have been.

I have seen Ekitike dive and playact too. I think Klopp once told Bruno to stop doing that after a game, and that he was a far better player without it. I don't think he would be able to say that anymore if he still managed us with some of ours doing the same every match. Macca is definitely the worst of the lot.

But, Elnino, these guys are not toddlers, you have to tell to hold your hand. A lot of them are very experienced pros. I like Macca as a player. He has been here 3 seasons, and for me it's only this season I've been disappointed with him. But he has been really poor.

Again, when we have a decent manager who plays sufficient tactical football, I'll reserve my judgement on Mac. I thought he was great last season, scored important goals, and he read the game very well.
