Watching the latest inside training video is already making me look forward to next season.
The intensity in the drills and look of urgency to move the ball quickly will hopefully be an indication of how we will be playing next season.
Can't wait for the pre season games to get started to see it in all in action.

Good luck to Mo in Turkey!
It will feel strange when the season kicks off and he is not on the right wing, but all good things must come to a end.
I don't think Salah will ever play in Saudi as that league is not competitive enough for a man of his calibre.
May i also take the chance to thank Ned, The Fields, Robbo, Victor Goodman and Carra for putting there neck on the line to provide us with the ins and outs of all things Lfc.
To all the Eds and posters, have a great weekend!

I completely understand people's disillusionment when it comes to our approach to signings (And more specifically who we are linked with.) However, I am far more excited by Iraola's approach to management. There are very early signs, but, having watched a few training videos and interviews, he just seems to get it.
You can see the intensity in training, the way he socialises and gets to know the players in the breaks, not to mention his performance as manager of Bournemouth, performing above expectations with a number of 'limited' players. He seems to share a few similar qualities to Klopp, and, for me, that is what this team needs now. To refind the form and style that made us so difficult to play against.
Yes, a number of key players have gone, and their starting positions have still not yet been filled. But this feels like a genuine and intentional step to produce something along the lines of Klopp's early Liverpool team, to help them eventually grow into something truly powerful.
Pace on the wings is seen as imperative towards this end, with the signing of Munoz and attempts to sign Diomande being a clear indicator.
Jacquet looks to be stepping in to start alongside Van Dijk, although I still suspect another signing to compete, as Leoni is coming off a very serious injury, and it would be madness to rush his recovery.
I am hopeful that Wirtz and Isak can contribute far more than they did last season, as I do believe the former was hampered by the slow, lethargic playing style. Isak showed during the World Cup that he can provide far more than goals, and is an effective connector for those around him. Both disappointed last season, in different ways, but this is a new opportunity, with a new manager, and possibly even a quicker style of play that will suit both players' intelligence and adaptability.
This could all go wrong very quickly, of course. Especially if we do not get the signings we clearly need. But, for the first time in a long time, I am actually excited to watch Liverpool games, and I could not say that at any point last season. So, already, things are looking up.
Fingers crossed everything goes well.

Coaching was only part of the problem last season. The squad was woefully short at right back, centre back, midfield and on the wings and has actually got weaker since last season.
17 Jul 2026 20:21:51
My feeling is we get Diomande or Rayan at a huge price because I donβt think there is anybody out there who we would accept as a replacement for Mo Salah. I think the club is expected to go big because of Salah going early.
I wonder who we also sign at right back.
17 Jul 2026 20:36:18
I really think the club should have let Salah see out his contract instead of pushing him out the door before we even have a replacement.
17 Jul 2026 20:51:13
I'd take Rayan every day and Sunday over the Barcola. We shouldn't even be considering Barcola.
17 Jul 2026 18:47:30
Hello ed1 hope u well. What do u think of barcola? No doubt we have serious interest in him from info that's about.
I've seen v little of him but the bits I have seen of him he has looked v average.the fee for him if we do sign him is rumoured to be around Β£100m mark which is serious dosh at any time for a player, u really would be expecting that player to be a game changer for your team
{Ed001's Note - I have barely seen him but the little I Saw was not at all impressive but it seems a better idea than Diomande. }
17 Jul 2026 19:07:07
You can see why we're going for these targets. Munoz also.
They have direct, raw speed. Which we lack.
How good they are is another conversation, but the majority of names we see pop up bring that Lightning pace.
17 Jul 2026 19:15:43
If it's direct raw speed we are after, then we may as well sign Adama Traore.
17 Jul 2026 19:53:43
You just wanna see his oiled up muscles, you Rover. π
17 Jul 2026 19:08:23
Given the lack of wingers out there Ed, do you think maybe it would have been worth keeping hold of Diaz?
{Ed001's Note - no, he wanted out and had been angling for a move for years.}
17 Jul 2026 21:09:05
Money, or not happy in the UK?
17 Jul 2026 21:22:44
Ah yeah true Ed, completely wiped out my mind that his dad never stopped talking about Luchos dream to play for Barca.
17 Jul 2026 18:04:02
I just can not believe we are not going to sign a proper no.6.
The squad and team is crying out for one.
I would rather spend a huge fee on one than any winger with no Premier League experience.
Let's get back to dominating the middle of the park.
It makes everything else easier.
17 Jul 2026 18:26:57
Most people on here are in the same mind. However, Iraola has my trust, so let's see what his plan is first.
17 Jul 2026 18:34:10
Did Iraola play with a proper no.6 at Bournemouth?
17 Jul 2026 19:07:46
Ryan Gravenberch is a proper six. We won the league with him playing that role... Just saying...
{Ed025's Note - what happened last season then Kameron?, he was bordering on pathetic mate..just asking for a friend..
17 Jul 2026 19:43:11
How do you know we are not going to sign a number 6?
17 Jul 2026 20:28:31
How do we know he isn't going to buy the 6 everyone wants?
Does he want a 6?
Did he use one in his other teams?
Do we know his system better than him?
Or do we just wait and see, he has said we need more players in so maybe trust the process.
17 Jul 2026 20:44:11
What happened last season, Ed25? You can tell you friend that he was played out of position, as a box-to-box, which left our defence exposed and the rest is history. It was a weird decision.
It is an interesting question, though, and I've been waiting for this thread to come up. Everyone on this site seems sure that if we just boght a WC 6 then we would walk the league. Is football really that easy though? I mean, if it were that easy, wouldn't we have done it? In support, I do see that Arsenal have Rice and City have Rhod Gilbert, and they both finished above us, so. maybe.
Some styles of football don't use a 6 though, and there must be a reason that some teams opt not to use one. What are the benefits?
{Ed025's Note - i dont care where he was playing Stoneage, if he cant make a 5 yard pass, doesn,t track back, ambles around all game and look as though he just cant be arsed does it matter what bloody number he wears mate?...my friend is still interested to know.. :)
17 Jul 2026 21:01:34
Ed025 - will you get off that fence?
{Ed025's Note - i cant help myself Hoof it.. :)
17 Jul 2026 21:49:30
Gravenbergh for me is a one trick pony, he knows how to turn his way out of a press, unfortunately teams sit back nowadays, so he'll have to add a lot of tricks to warrant his new contract, like tackling, imposing himself, and developing some defensive positioning.
17 Jul 2026 17:45:30
Not sure if there's any legs to this as I'm not in ITK or anything.but have been told by someone who claims to be ITK that we are serious about signing sano of Mainz π€· don't even know if he's decent or anything as I've not seen him play.Does any of the EDS OR ITK'S on here heard anything?? and further more is he any good??
17 Jul 2026 18:40:27
I was reported via one of the clickbait sites I got to via NewsNow yesterday or the day before.
So, your mate is not at all ITK, but just trawls the interweb!
There's some chat about Sano in the 'TopAlfie' thread on the Rumours page (currently 3-4 thread down) from earlier today.
He has a complicated recent history regarding his personal life, which may count against him.
17 Jul 2026 19:48:25
I reckon, Zed, if we get Sano, we should go all out for Benjamin Mendy and Mason Greenwood.
17 Jul 2026 20:01:00
And Tomas Partey too. π
17 Jul 2026 17:01:47
Can't recall which ITK broke the news, a while back already, that Szobo was going to sign....
To the ITKs who broke that news here first...You're the best π
Keep em coming please!
17 Jul 2026 16:49:40
Nice one VG and Carra. Would be over the moon if we got Barcola and Rayan.
Any news on right back, centre back or striker?
