Who would people prefer if they had the option between Cunha or Alvarez? I have ruled out Isak as I don’t think it is a possibility tbh, but then I guess Alvarez would also be a pipe dream, maybe?

Regards Alvarez, that came across more like agent sharing there was contact last summer as opposed to emerging interest for this window.
As a choice I'd go for Alvarez.

Either but Cunha for his dribbling ability. We sorely lack someone who can actually beat a player 1-1 and open up some space. Supposed to be Diaz but he runs in circles nowadays.

Alvarez hated the weather here, his missus couldn’t stand living in the UK. I’d say we’d be wasting our time. Isak should be the number one target. Then Cunha. But knowing us, what are the odds we “find bi value in the market” again, decide to “keep our powder dry until next summer” and end up keeping the same forward line up less Mo Salah.

Personally. I would take Alvarez, though Cunha would offer better value for the price maybe. Both would fit what slot is looking for from a central attacking player. I'm beginning to wonder whether we need a physical type who can attack the box and attack crosses now, though, given how many crosses and long balls we were hitting to absolutely no effect against Newcastle.

It’s all paper talk it’s crap.
As for the three leavers I think VVD is on the decline, he is worth keeping but for 2 years only and not on increased terms. Salah has been amazing but is also 33/ 34 so he won’t get better, didn’t show up when it matters (PSG and Newcastle) and maybe it’s time to let go? TAA was missed badly at the weekend, people underestimate how much he will be missed, Bradley is not a like for like .
We are in the brown stuff so let’s hope we can enjoy the league in May.

Cunha is more suited to the bustle of the prem, and he brings some of that grit and unpredictability that is perhaps missing under Slot.
Anyone who can step, even a little of the way, into Bobbys shoes would be great.
