Mulling on the contention that we will be winning the title in an "easy" year. I think that's wildly wrong: apart from the bottom 3 and Spurs and Man U, most teams are stronger than usual. It's why our rivals keep dropping points.
I think we aren't getting the plaudits because we don't have a clear identity of play. Slot is an Ancelotti style manager - each game pragmatically taken on its own terms.
It's effective, sometimes explosive, but not full of the hellfire of Klopp's first peak - and PSG possibly a reminder of what that team was like.
My blood pressure ain't complaining, but Slot's style is more Paisley than Kenny.

I think you’re glossing over the fact that our main rivals for the league (city) have had a complete meltdown. Things would probably look a lot different if they were at their best. We wouldn’t be walking it anyway.
Arsenal should really be better than they are but failed to strengthen well.
Saying that, the league winners are always the best team and we have been the best team this year by a long way. But I do think it was easier to win it this year than most because our main rivals for the title have been crap rather than every other team being much stronger.

There is no way you are suggesting teams like City/ Chelsea are stronger than before? they are all well underperforming. City will be something like 30 points down on their normal, the league sure doesn't look better quality.

I think we'll be right in the mix next year again.
Yes our rivals will likely strengthen. So will we I hope.

The way I see it every team except the bottom three has multiple players that the best teams in the league, Liverpool, Arsenal and City would love to sign. It is entirely possible that a Premier League club wins all three European trophies. Yes some of the big clubs have had a poor season but the overall quality of the Premier League has never been higher.

Thats Citys OLD normal Dean, does anyone actually think they are going to get back to their peak of 3 or 4 years ago with them players? Why. because they are City? they have Pep? Them players and days are gone for City, and that's BEFORE the 115 charges. Why are Chelsea underperforming, because of their squad of World Class players? The only teams who i'd be expecting to be better next year are Arsenal and Newcastle.

I've always disliked the narrative about the league being down as well. Liverpool is winning the league because they are the best team.
Every team had the opportunity to win every game. Liverpool won more matches against the same "down" competition as every other team had to compete against.

You can’t gauge the quality of the league by looking at the teams in it playing against each other.
You have to look at the Premier League teams playing against other teams in Europe and we’ve had the team at the top of the Champions League table, we’ve got 2 teams in the last 8 of the Champions league, 2 in the last 8 of the Europa league and 1 in the last 8 of the Conference league.
Arsenal, who are apparently crap this season, just beat Real Madrid 3-0 and we beat Real Madrid 2-0. We beat Leverkusen 4-0. Villa, who are 6th in an apparently crap Premier League beat Bayern Munich.
We took PSG to penalties over 2 games and you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who says PSG are not one of the very best teams in Europe.
This is one of the strongest Premier Leagues overall for a very long time. It’s comfortably the best in terms of overall quality in the world. There are no easy games in the Premier League, unlike the top leagues in the rest of Europe.
It’s only highlighted by the fact that all 3 promoted clubs will go down straight away because the quality of the mid table teams is so strong.
And I’ve just turned on the Villa game and they are beating PSG 3-2 after being 2-0 down! I rest my case.

The idea that it's a weak league if city aren't getting 90 points is stupid. The reason they aren't getting 90 points is BECAUSE the other teams in the league are much stronger than usual. If they weren't then city would find it easy.
Also if the league is so easy then why can't city and arsenal beat all these "easy" teams? Shouldn't they be steamrolling them every game if it's so easy? Doesn't make sense.
Ironically if we lost 5 more games and the title was close nobody would be saying it's easy, they're only saying that because we've made it look easy.

100% Nevada, you can look at this league in two lights, we lacked competition for the top spot because our closest rivals dropped off a cliff or the rest of the league have improved and there are no more gimmes anymore! I actually think it’s a really strong and competitive league because points can be dropped anywhere and the eventual winner needs to be on it every week to gather points! People will always have a narrative but this weak league doesn’t stack up, if the league is so weak then Arteta should be sacked because Arsenal have been miles off it despite Arteta spending a fortune.
