Is anyone bothered about Lijnders going to city?
If it were a choice of him coming to Liverpool or city I would rather him go to city to be honest.
With the book and everything else I just think he is a bit of a wolly and that we're better off without.

He is a fail manager who is clearly not going to make it so assistant manager is the only way for him to show what he’s capable of in a way. If am honest I’d have preferred him not to join one of our biggest rivals not that I think he will make them better but he’s free to go wherever he wants just like Trent. I just hope he’s not expecting a warm welcome at Anfield.

They do fly, tho as Klopp is seemingly retired as a manager I wouldn’t begrudge him on this.
Going to city is really poor, though not a worry as his increased influence on our squad seemed to coincide with a downturn.
As for him giving away secrets/ info on players and tactics. I’m not fussed either, we are a different team now and he wasn’t that apt so give him full reigns at city I say!

Meh, not bothered. Seems to have a reputation as a good coach, although for the life of me I am not sure why. His influence on us seemed to coincide with us playing progressively poorer and poorer football. Slot and team have a similar approach but obviously do it much better achieving with practically the same team. I am sure Pep will take credit for laying the groundwork but honestly I don't rate him. As above it's a weird footballing world we live in that he is even a household name, and complete lunacy that he released a book. Bit of a wally that's a bit big for his boots if you ask me, hope City enjoy him.

If Klopp was still here then he’d be a useful asset for ManCity with regards to inside knowledge. Arne is his own man so won’t make one iota of a difference.

It really depends which head Lijnders takes to work. His coaching head is pretty useful or his ‘Look at me, I am very clever’ head. The former would make City more of a potential threat. The latter gives us nothing to worry about.

Couldn't care less. His time with LFC is over and it stays in the past. At least he has a book to show for it. He can go and coach anywhere for all I care.
But he was never as good as Buvac. I wish Buvac had never gone. We were terrorizing teams like nobody's business back then. And the football was absolutely spectacular to watch.

But we only started winning after Buvac left and Pep joined us, ArAy. I think Pep was a good assistant coach but he let his success get to his head and made him think he is better then he actually was.
