What's everyone's first impression on Ekitike now we've seen a bit of him play in a red shirt? I was pretty impressed after being on the fence about him signing, he had some decent link up play and strength for a slim built guy, good pace, desire and workrate. The cutback for Salahs goal was very nice in a position where many would have fired it across the keeper.

I thought he looked played well 1st half and looked v lively.
Only a friendly at end of day so wouldn't be judging him either good r bad on that.
Rio looks ready to me to be a 1st team player, if we get isak and sell nunez+cheisa I would be quite happy with him as 5ft choice attacker. Again it only a friendly but I'd give him rattle at it til January anyway, think u also need to show that there a pathway there for young players which we have done threw the years.

I think we can all see that he is a very tricky player, with a good awareness of space and where his team-mates are, he has the explosiveness from a standstill to change direction and go beyond defenders in an instant and the creativity to try things that others wouldn't think of, he's been holding the ball up decently well too, the signs are promising.

When he gets comfortable with the way we play and the pace of the league he will be scary, same with wirtz, frimpong is well suited with his pace .

It's still too early to judge but he does look to have bags of potential. He pressed really well and he's got pace, power and vision - he will cause teams problems.
My concern is that I don't expect him to be a prolific scorer. Although this isn't a problem for me I'm concerned that many people on here will quickly turn against him and become obsessed by his numbers if he ends up as our first choice number 9. I think that he would benefit from us signing Isak and allowing him to switch it up and cover between the CF and LW roles.

Great touch, lovely one touch passing and flicks, smart, good vision.
He has to bulk up a little. Quite weak.
Potential is great but looks like a development project. If he adds strength, could be a serious serious player.

I liked what I saw of him, plays with his head up, was aware of Salah and played a perfect pass for the goal. He’s big, quick, strong and skilful. A front three of Salah, Ekitike and Isak will be very hard to stop.

First impressions Ron not a 5 page analysis. Bobby never scored a crazy amount but we would all agree he was a top player for us.

Ron, safe to say that goals was not the only reason we signed the kid so just judging him on goals scored is a bit myopic, no?
