I cannot see there not being some rather urgent, dare I say frantic, discussions at the club in the international break. Slot will surely be talking to his coaches and telling them what they are doing isn't working . There has to be a rethink of training strategy, intensity, how much time is focused on fitness formation and tactics, surely? No one on the coaching team can think what is happening is just bad luck or a blip. Its been this bad since the end of Feburary.
More so surely someone from the executive team has been in touch with Slot and asked him his thoughts and perhaps said it just isn't good enough. I would be stunned if after this international break should Liverpool loose their next game Slot isn't removed. It cannot go on like this surely. At the very least I would not be surprised if during the break there is an over haul of the assistant coaches.

I am serious. and don't call me Shirley.

You really think Slot will be sacked if he loses the next game? The same owners that gave Rodgers a full season of being terrible after not winning the league will sack a league winning manager in November?
Here's reality, kimuarking. As much as you might want to see Slot removed, he'll get the season unless we're fall miles away from the top 4.

I dunno, I’m sure they’re talking but I hope they’re not disasterfying everything.
14 Nov 2025 06:53:35
It won’t be the owners that sack Slot.
14 Nov 2025 07:08:58
It’ll be the Spanish Inquisition that get’s him, won’t it .

As we have 3 winnable games next and are prophesied to finish 3rd this season (taken from posts sent by more optimistic posters), what action should be taken if we show no improvement in team play and lose all 3?

Thunderbird, "don't call me Shirley" made me chuckle. Leslie Nielsen was the greatest comedy actor ever.
{Ed078's Note - have you not seen Steve Martin?

We need to get him to a hospital urgently.
Why what is it?
A big building full of sick people.
{Ed001's Note - they are both wrong anyway, John Candy beats them both hands down! Do love Leslie Nielsen though too.}

@WDW…
The Inquisition, what a show
The Inquisition, here we go.
14 Nov 2025 10:42:32
Dirty rotten scoundrels was funny.
14 Nov 2025 11:37:45
Chuck in Chevy Chase as well.
14 Nov 2025 11:59:32
John Candy all the way. The greatest comic actors have a huge undertow of pathos.
14 Nov 2025 13:04:38
Bill Murray’s deadpan cracks me up every time.

“A hospital …. What it it? ”
“ A big building with patients, but that’s not important right now”
Brilliant.
On a separate though related topic, the original (English) version of ‘Death at a Funeral’ is, like Airplane in my top 3 comedy films. The actors in it aren’t noted for being comic actors but they all give brilliant comic performances and the point about the undertow of pathos is definitely front and centre. If you haven’t seen it, it’s really worth a look.

I have, Ed078, and Nielsen was far better. All about opinion.
14 Nov 2025 10:45:41
Ed, Steve Martin was levels, man. Ever saw the 3 amigos?
{Ed078's Note - yeah, my favourite though is The Jerk. Bill Murray in The Man who knew too little, also up there.

It's the time of the year in the states to watch Planes Trains and Automobiles. One of my faves. Christmas Vacation (Randy Quade is fantastic) and another classic for Ed78 "The Jerk" w Steve Martin.
Will Ferrell is incredibly popular in the States; is he in the UK?
{Ed078's Note - I just mentioned the Jerk, excellent. Will Ferrell in Stranger than Fiction also.
