How are we all feeling about Araujo?
Brings some experience to the team even though he's a loan.

Not sure I'd want him full time. Maybe a loan is good for us in terms of cover and experience, and him to get a chance in the Premier League.

I guess it kind of makes sense. No long-term commitments to bringing him in. He is an experienced international who can cover a weakness whilst youngsters bed in and build up to taking the place on a permanent basis.
Very little money spent to allow the future to come through in a seriously problematic position for the club.

If he can stay fit, it's a very good signing in my opinion. He is a decent player, can cover both CB/RB and hopefully gives enough time for Jacquet, Leoni, and Bradley to get back their fitness. And if he exceeds expectations there is also an option to buy.

Cover for Jacquet/Leoni recovery/medical. Option to buy if he fits in. Meh for me.

Not seen enough of him to pass judgement if I'm honest. Hopefully, he comes in and does the business. Also makes me wonder if Schlotterback was/is the target, and that injury scuppered things, as I can't see Liverpool's top target being a loan deal.
This seems like a season fix until the real target is available. Or we are just that incompetent and thought we had enough with Gomez, Virg, Leoni, and Jacquet.

If he turns out to be a good player I'll be happy, if he turns out to be a bad player I'll be unhappy. To be honest, at this point I have no idea. As with all signings, I live in hope.
All a bit glib, I know, just being honest though.

Kaiser entirely agreed it is a bit meh. But in a "transition" period it kind of makes sense.
Hopefully Jaquet and Leoni come back and hit the ground running. If not, he is there (if able to stay fit) to cover the gap.
Worst comes to worst, if he carries on his current form, Jo Gomez will have some company for the upcoming season.

I dunno, we are all saying he'll provide cover while Leoni and Jacquey get up to speed, but Araujo himself will be way off pace and need time to adjust to the Premier League. We now need to get someone in to give Araujo time to get up to speed lol.
