I think it gets done at £130m plus add ons to take it to £150m. The fact Newcastle have gone from not for sale to there being a price shows a deal can be made.

We are not scrapping the Isak deal, the club and the player have come this far pushing for it to happen, he is clearly our number one target for the summer, we might never have as good a chance to get him again.

We will get new info on Monday. As said by someone above LFC isak Newcastle have been very all over the place and their is a growing sense among many that is a mess best avoided this summer and revisited in the next.
guehi seems almost done but palace are waiting for a offer from another club to see what's best.

What did Konaté do wrong last night? Not much wrong aside from one crucial mistake that led to Semenyo's second goal. He was running keeping pace with Semenyo's run down the middle. And instead of going diagonally to tackle Semenyo (while he was still outside of the box) or block him, he continued shadowing from a distance. VVD on the other side was also there running beside him, but he had an attacker on his right that had to be blocked and watched. It was Konaté's responsibility to go for Semenyo and he didn't. VVD has no blame on this whatsoever.

Ed has already confirmed that it’s all been sorted for a while. The deal will most likely get confirmed after our fixture against Newcastle. So I’m not sure if your sources are a bit behind?

ADShimman, of course its a priority, we can't go a season with Salah, Ekitike, Gakpo, and Rio as our forwards for 3 positions. A top class player gives us a lot more options to rotate and rest those players.
Its also clear we have just signed a young CB and are still In for Guehi.
I would suggest the defensive fixes need to be done on the training ground too. Not the transfer market. Seems its flavour of the week to write off Virg and Konate because of the 1st game of the season, and forget how good they have been.
Konate failed to stop the second goal but Slot put Robbo, Endo, Jones Gomes on when a goal up to be more solid and for some reason all 4 decided to go attack and leave virg and Ibou wide open on the break. The situation should have never happened.

Akira, if Isak doesn’t go through who are our other targets. My concern is we are playing so open to right now and need to strengthen, a CB, definitely an attacker as we can’t rely on Chiesa being fit all season and after last nights performance a CDM to play back up with Gravenberch?

Pete the pool, I literally asked the question on here less than a few days ago. Ed001 confirmed that it’s been sorted (behind the scenes) . Newcastle have wanted to avoid having Isak line up against them. So all these reports of incoming/ failed bids are baffling.

Buying another centre back won't make us less open unless we are changing system to play 3, which isn't happening.
We are open because the midfield is missing Grav and oppositions are just walking through it at ease. Once Grav is back it'll settle down.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the rumours of bids being rejected are just media managing and it really will be a late transfer after the Newcastle game. Either way, I’m not concerned.
All this talk of 55 games etc ignores the fact that there is a transfer window in January.

As far as I'm aware no 2nd bid has been made but there is talk of one going in this week for around £125m plus £15m in addons. £140m in total.

I don't want to be a jerk but I can't help but feel that akira's credibility is very much in question. If a bid went in and was rejected I'm sure we would have heard of it. I think Liverpool already know the price that Newcastle want and are just waiting for the go ahead to get it done, what would be the point of getting another bid rejected?

I’m with Patrik Burgher on this one. Wanted to post something similar myself. There’s two ways of looking at it. This is essentially a rumours website, but you still need to build up credibility to a certain degree. Otherwise you look like you’re throwing random information at the wall, and hoping something sticks. There’s no harm in doing that and posting everything you hear. But then you’ll have a large amount of people not taking your word with any seriousness.
And my dear friend Ed001, I didn’t intend to twist your words with regard to what you said about the Isak transfer being sorted a while back.

Ed002 had credibility when it came to transfers but even Ed002 didn’t know everything 100%. It’s just not possible.
Everything else I read, I read as rumours. Some will happen, some won’t.
I don’t think Akira, or anyone else, has claimed they are posting facts.
Just my opinion but I feel it’s not fair to question people’s credibility, they post what rumours they hear. If you want only facts, get a job as Richard Hughes personal assistant. ?.

Kloppdog, Konate and VVD have looked like strangers both the the Community Shield and last night's game, whether it's not fully trusting/ understanding their new Fullback colleague, that Grav has been missing or Fitness (VVD) and his future (Konate) we've looked awful at CB so far, the pace of the Newcastle front three in the first half of the Villa game will have a field day n current form.

You guys have very short memories. Akira has been spot on quite a few times, on other players. And it's irksome that the 90% of us who don't or can't offer rumours, slate the few that take the initiative. Since when is a rumour a sure thing? So stop treating it like it is. Credibility on rumours? Is there a winning percentage that establishes credibility? What is it?
