I'm not getting involved in the managerial news, other than saying Hoeness was on the original shortlist to replace Klopp.
This is more about confirmation on CJ potentially leaving. It has nothing to do with money, more about game time. The club have indicated they want him to stay. He feels he should be starting a lot more, he knows he would be elsewhere.
Absolute torn by the decision because of his love for the club. Villa are very interested as are a couple of teams from Italy.
Juve are also reluctant to pay what we want for Alisson, unless he indicates he wants to leave. He hasn't as of yet.

Don't blame you not getting involved, it's a bit messed up now!
Thanks for your input and info, hopefully CJ stays but hey, who knows!
Thanks again. ??

Jones isn't anywhere near good enough to be starting. Just a cold hard fact.
23 Apr 2026 20:22:42
I think he suited more to the Italian league or Li Liga than the prem.
23 Apr 2026 20:26:21
Sorry, I love a homegrown player but he isn't good enough for a regular start unless he goes mid table
23 Apr 2026 20:38:37
After the way Villa treated Harvey I wouldn't give them eff all.
23 Apr 2026 20:40:37
I like jones, but also on the same breath he's bang average. If he wants to stay and be a bench warmer great, if he wants to leave to progress, great. Not fussed either way.
Thanks for info fields.

After the way they've messed Elliot about, I think Curtis should stay clear of Villa. Clearly whoever is signing their players isn't aligned with their own manager so can't trust any ideas of getting more game time
23 Apr 2026 21:06:17
Blinkered opinion
That guy goes on to another premiership team and excels
Host of posters will say he shouldn't of been sold
I'm of the belief Harvey Elliott shouldn't have been sporadically used throughout his Liverpool career.
Genuinely feel CJ and Elliott can be our push on
23 Apr 2026 21:20:44
Gazza, Jones is 25, not some kid, he hasn't ever kicked on. He's not going to suddenly develop into a top class midfielder. This is as good as he'll ever be. And that's mediocre.
23 Apr 2026 21:26:07
Comparing Elliots situation with Jones possibly going there is like comparing eggs with bacon. Elliot is on loan and they didn't want to pay, so didn't play him in the league because of it. Jones would be moving permanently.
Both Milan clubs have shown interest, as well as Napoli. Not bad teams for "mid table" player at best eh lads ??.
Gazza, I fully agree mate. Both are talented players with their prime still to come, they have plenty of room for growth.
23 Apr 2026 21:36:12
Id take Elliot back and let Jones go. I've always backed him, but he's never really lived up to the potential shown. Looked great in short spells and when given a run off games but always got injured and takes ages to get back there.
If we get a decent offer, I'd let him go.
{Ed025's Note - i would ditch both of them personally Westwood..
23 Apr 2026 22:03:41
Same Ed25. Slot gets hammered and rightly so. Then the rose tinted spectacles come out and players who really aren't of the quality or physicality to wear the shirt are somehow our midfield solution. Madness
24 Apr 2026 01:01:34
Jones is a squad player but never a starter for me. As it stands now, I'd have him as fourth choice midfielder behind Grav, Szob, and Wirtz. Still, I don't think he is as bad as some posters make him out to be.
People talk about him as if he is some kind of Sunday-league level player who's just lucky to play for Liverpool because he is a local lad.
24 Apr 2026 04:26:30
It's still one - nil though isn't it? Everybody on the board has a solution but if you add together everyone who uses this board Slot, in only one full season, has one more PL title that us all put together.
24 Apr 2026 08:45:17
Is jones the new linguard we always be a young player with potential? He's not good enough end of, just because he has a L postcode doesn't mean he has to stay
24 Apr 2026 09:38:08
Can someone tell me what is your benchmark of a midfielder as most are slamming Jones?
Not every player is a top player. We need squad depth too. Jones can play various positions and that's a good player. We don't need a squad of superheroes but a squad of players happy to be here and play for the team.
If superstars were making teams good, then look at the list of players PSG let go and now they are far better. Messi, Neymar, Mbappe all of them gone.
A squad of mixed talent if better and Jones is a good example.
Thanks

Curtis, if fit, should be a genuine starter in the domestic cup matches and a squad choice for league and possibly CL matches
24 Apr 2026 11:34:01
I hope Jones stays. We're not going to have a team full of prime age Stevie Gs to be considered for the squad
24 Apr 2026 13:31:18
Fields, nice input, but the Italian league is not what it was. Don't take it so personally, he simply isn't good enough to be starting (with that said, neither is Macca). That's just a fact. Inter and Napoli have been Italy's best sides for years, but not near the level for the Champs League, hence Inter getting humiliated in the final.
If this was back before Juve's 10 years of dominance, you might have a point, but Serie A is severely lacking in talent and funds.
24 Apr 2026 14:04:23
Isn't it a bit of an oxymoron to say Inter aren't good enough for the Champions League, because they lost in the final? ?
24 Apr 2026 15:16:29
Not really, better sides got knocked out by the champions earlier on? e.g. Arsenal, Liverpool, Villa, all by the winners PSG. That side of the draw also had both Madrids and Man City. Just like when England got the luck of the draw in the World Cup 2018. Again, hence why Inter were extremely lucky. PSG went down to 3rd gear, it should have been 10-0.
25 Apr 2026 06:02:47
Both should be sold unless happy to be squad players. Nowhere near good enough to improve the team consistently as first team players.
