Spirit of Shankly protesting over a £3.50 ticket increase complaining about FSG.
With what we are seeing in the pitch prices should come down and there is plenty of bigger issues with the club at present than a £3.50 a match ticket price increase.


There should have been a protest to rid the club of Slot Hughes and Edwards at the end of November.
As for the protest about ticket prices some of the season ticket holders have no trouble selling there tickets on 3rd party websites 5x+ the face value.

I have been done with SOS for a long time. Their entire goal is to just hoard the tickets from themselves, friends, and family. They aren't even hiding it anymore.

At the end of November, Grino, most supporters were still thinking Hughes had done a brilliant job in the summer.

Also, as far as I understand, it's illegal to sell tickets on 3rd party sites.

I won't be buying my usual £3 coffee on Saturday!

Although you didn't miss anything, we played the same crap as always so the chat was as vocal as ever about the performance, and rightly so.

There was no talk of watching paint dry though.

Almost hear it?! He gets completely overwhelmed with excitement every time he speaks their name. He literally can't hold back his s***-eating grin, and his eyes light up like a kid on Christmas.

It's so embarrassing. He clearly has the full duvet set at home. Very peculiar way for a grown man to act. I'm convinced he's a lifelong supporter and is secretly relishing the fact that they're so good.

In pure Sportng terms that is the low point for me this season, to have Slot go on for a year about how PSG vs Liverpool was the pinnacle of football then try to s***house his way to a draw is pathetic.
Positives - it was only 2-0.
Negatives - everything else from tactics to performance to mentality.

Who for? Gomez and Konate have disaster written all over it. Captaincy wise, it's hard to say. If there is a new coach, then probably have a change looking to the future. VVD as a captain is a strange one, with a lot of opinions.

He is the most captained player for the Netherlands, so must be doing something right. He strikes me as a lead by example type, but the standards have started to slip somewhat.

Not often I agree with Florian, but I do here. Our next two league games are Fulham & Everton, and dropping him for those would be disastrous, as it's not like we have quality in depth (there's no one in our under 23s capable of stepping up and Leone isn't anywhere near fit yet). We are more likely than not getting dumped out of the Champions League, so we have to prioritise the league as that is the bread & butter.

Gomez & Konate don't exactly inspire confidence, particularly given that they'd have zero protection from midfield, and whoever is playing right side would likely have to put up with either Curtis Jones or Szoboszlai at right back. And any notion that "Gravenberch can play there" can and should be dismissed.

We have zero chance of taking VvD off in the 80th minute to reduce his minutes, let alone dropping him for a game.

He doesn't need resting. Haven't you heard? Our training schedule allows the same 13 players to play every game, with little to no running, means we don't get any injuries and we can control games much better.

I'm on holiday so sitting on my phone watching the war and reading this site is my go to whilst soaking up some sunshine.

I have been reading comments which have gradually over the last few weeks slowly become less and less optimistic. There has always been someone clutching at straws saying we can do this or that! It seems the will of support is being gradually sucked out of all. Sitting waiting for news of Slots demise is like waiting for a terminally ill relative to pass away.

Harsh, I know, but similar feeling.

The club are doing themselves no favours. Their reluctance to act is so damaging to the future. Banking on a 5 place finish is negligent. As far as we know, only top 4 gain CL anyway. To 5 depends on how all English teams do in Europe.

This season could take away all of the work Klop did. Now that is a shame.

No idea what goes on inside Slot's head! But he's blown a huge chance at one of the world's biggest clubs.

He's a Dutch maniac and needs sacking now this second ? He needed sacking a long time ago and I can't believe any player is still backing him! Or fan.

So what's the plan people? Surely he is gone.

I just couldn't put my eyes through watching anymore of whatever it is they are doing. Bring back Hodgson or Brenda.

I wonder if a conversation had taken place regards squad pre season. We're trying to gdt best in class at young ages, going to take couple of windows. Maybe they feel they let slot down now. When transfer window closed I was disappointed. Could see clear as day (this isn't hind sight) we were a slower team going forward, 2 nr. 9s no pace our wide which helps Wirtz with little more space and even defensively teams no we can't counter or transition quick enough so set pieces they could push a little more. No pace kills us. In defence any weakness will be at least twice as bad as teams really do go after you now. Konate always going to be targeted. I thought Salah would have a had season (maybe different reasons) last year amazing. Numbers record breaking. But general play he didn't press, get back much, non existent but he works grab goal and assist.

I thought adding Wirtz, Eketeke and Isak would take alot off Salah leaving just general play. He was slowing up last year. That's just age.
Can't play 2 slow wingers like Maccca and Wirtz in same midfield.
Yes a paid out 480m ish but recouped 300 ish. Arsenal recoup 200m out of billion over last few years.
Meaning we lose players and others seem to build.
Doesn't excuse slot as his Motivational skills and way he sees the game with possession etc. controlling games is nonsense and I do think he needs to go. But just maybe they thought it would be a hard season maybe not struggle top 5 but would have its issues. Just get cbs who are good on th ball and not clumbsy!

It's still doable, Chelsea are a point behind, they have City and United next, and have to play us and Tottenham in their final 3 games. It's going to be very tough for them to get results.

Villa are 5 points ahead, and have the easiest run in, but have to play us and City in their last 2. Luckily enough, we're not the only ones in shocking form.

Trouble is for us though, Chewy, at this stage of the season, when margins are so tight, every tiny advantage helps.

Chelsea putting 7 past Port Vale is a meaningful result in the way that they might just have played themselves into a bit of form and come out of a horrid run of results?
Villa also had a decent 3 points & performance last time out.



We've 1 point out of 9 in games we could & should have got at least 7 points, and nye on wrapped up 4th or 5th spot!

That's not my point, Florian, mate - a slight rise in confidence at this stage of the season could well be the difference in a point or two.

Not forgetting their far superior goal difference.

I think it will come down to a winner takes all game v them to get CL.

Agreed, the Anfield game could be huge. Think if this weekend went perfectly and we beat Fulham and City done us a favour, a 4 point gap would be very difficult for Chelsea to make up.
