The problems started for me getting knocked out of the fa cup. We have not seemed to step it up since. i know most of the lads did not play, but after that game we seemed sluggish going behind and having to beat the clock to get back into the game.
It seems like after we got knocked out the cup by man utd last season and we fell apart, let's hope we can get the lads back for the last lot of matches. YNWA.

iwillbered, since Plymouth we've beaten City and Newcastle and established a 12 point lead.

Don’t use facts Rome!
We going to collapse!

I think it's high time we asked ourselves this key question. What do we need the most in terms of silverwares as a club?
We have 6 big ears already but have 1 EPL in over 30yrs. For a club as big a LIV, that's disappointing. Now, we are in a very good position to add another and many are so critical of the owners, players and coaching staff. Can't we be grateful at least? We are suppose to be in transition and somehow, we are overwhelming fav for the EPL and it's all doom and gloom most match days. When did we become this entitled to win every competition we are in? In reality, we don't have that kind of depth in squad! City did it cos they have a £100m player, who's happy to be on the bench.
I think we the fans should be more grateful. At the start of the season, I would have jumped on the possibility of finishing in the top four and we made a final, topped the league phase of the UCL only to get KO on penalties (it's a lottery) and are 12pts clear atop the log. Slot is literally learning the league by playing competitive games. I am more than grateful for the season we have had so far and I think we shouldn't allow what other fans say on social media bring us under pressure to think any different. We are having a great season imo. Ynwa.

I wouldn't say we are having a great season Ugbes but we are definitely having a good one. We are doing amazingly well in the league but our cup competitions leave a bit more to be desired.
I still feel we should have done better against Plymouth but after making like 11 changes to the side, a loss isn't the end of the world. We also somehow drew the best team in the UCL despite us finishing top but our performances in both those legs were poor and I expected better out of our team. The Carabao Cup is a massive disappointment for me. We had a good chance to win it but Newcastle are a good side as well and they obviously wanted it more than us. I just wish we wanted to win it as much as they did too.

I think it is going a bit far saying that PSG are the best team in the CL. One of the better teams. Definitely not the favourites (that is always Real) .
Barcelona are probably the best team left in it.
23 Mar 2025 11:55:21
Gonna win the league, something no one gave us a chance of. Lost a final and were extremely unlucky to win a 36 team league and get rewarded with as good a team as PSG in the last 16.I hope they go on to win it now to shut a lot of people up. We've had a terrific season while slot has assessed the squad, god help everyone else next season.
23 Mar 2025 12:07:12
If we win the league then for me it's been a great season.
Against PSG we were outplayed and against Newcastle we were out fought.
Amazingly we only played PSG in next round because we rotated against Psv and gave game time to players like Endo, Chiesa and Elliot who fans want to get more game time and we didn't get the result.
23 Mar 2025 12:14:13
I'm sure they wanted to win it, dracred, their legs were shot and couldn't keep up with the intensity of the game from the first minute, it was plain to see, and slot should never have allowed it to get to this point. The positive is that we should learn from this for next year, you would think slot is smart enough to not let this happen again.
23 Mar 2025 12:19:32
I think it's simply down to Slot's system being highly reliant on building through Gravenberch. And a combination of Gravenberch's level dropping off and the opposition crowding him out has impacted the effectiveness of the system.
Slot clearly has a stubborn streak, like many good coaches have had in the past, where he doesn't feel Endo can build play and therefore continues to choose a 50% Gravenberch.
He's doing the same with Tsimikas, Darwin, Chiesa and Elliott. He doesn't trust them enough and that means little rotation.
9 games to go, and after Fulham, only one game per week. We should be able to go hell for leather in those and get no20 over the line.
LFG!

Darwin’s played more minutes at centre forward than any other player in the squad.
I think it’s time he also took accountability that he hasn’t been good enough rather than the blame being laid at the door of Slot all the time.
23 Mar 2025 13:22:48
Apologies didn’t count all competition games. In all comps Isak has missed 13 games in last 2 seasons.
In comparison Trent’s missed 22 games (more to come as he’s currently injured) in the last 2 seasons and he’s def not injury prone.
23 Mar 2025 13:27:06
To be fair the trouble started with a poor transfer window and the big three not signing new contracts
Up the pool.
23 Mar 2025 13:36:25
My Isak comment was in reply to the Isak post on the transfer page. No idea how it’s ended up on here ??♂️?.

I think this season there was always going to be some concerns along the way. A new manager after so long, what do we really expect. Nobody expected us to go ahead and win the league but we will win it so for me the season is a huge success.
Plenty of things we need to improve but which club is perfect? No matter what, if we went ahead and won everything this season we'd still need changes. It happens every single year, only difference this time around is having clowns behind the transfers and contracts which is a real concern for me but we're about to win the league - the calm before the storm and all that. I'm happy overall, Slot has done incredibly well.
23 Mar 2025 15:11:41
We should challenge and go deep in the champions league every year end of.
23 Mar 2025 16:47:07
For a club that might only win its second PL title in 30 odd years then it is certainly a great season. Appreciate that there is a fair few posters that think they’re could do better tho.
23 Mar 2025 19:38:29
Spot on, @Ugbes on your last paragraph. Seriously, what that football are we doing here? A title win in any season, is a great season full stop. City won the league (as favorites) on the last day of the 21/ 22 season after being knocked out of EVERY other comp. including a semi final of the CL by RM, a SM loss to us in the FA Cup and not a soul held them to account for not winning more that season. DOn't recall Fergie nor Jose suffering the same backlash so again, what tha football are we doing here?
On the contrary, we are here literally debating whether Slot potentially winning the title in his first season were we were nowhere near being fav's is an underwhelming season cos we got beaten in a CL by a good team pens. that no one thought we would win and a EFL final where Newcastle deserved to win? Were we supposed to win all our games or did I miss something? Sorry, I can't anymore cos the blatant disingenuousness at play absolutely unacceptable.
Now until someone shows evidence of any other team in our position got pelters for "only just winning the league" and nothing else when nobody thought they would at the start of the season, I refuse to engage in such nonsense concocted by the rival media pundits and rival fans on SM out of nowhere to denigrate this potential great achievement, should it happen. Nope, ain't having it.
23 Mar 2025 19:54:39
we should want everything
but we shouldn't have a sook if we don't achieve that, especially if the silver lining for the season is going to be a premier league trophy
I'm always about competing for all titles as the standard.
23 Mar 2025 20:41:34
Yes we have beaten them teams but performance wise we have looked jaded and been beat in two cup matches in which we should really be beating those teams no disrepect to the teams . The newcastle final was a prime example we were second best in the whole game slow lacked ideas 6 weeks back we were destroying teams.
I am not glooming and dooming, i am pointing out the drop in our standards which is worrying . Yes we are 12 points clear but we have some hard games coming up so don't count your chickens .
23 Mar 2025 23:35:10
don't think we looked jaded vs City and newcastle in the league at all.
