Diaz has apparently agreed terms with Bayern - 14 million per annum 4 year deal with bonuses.
18 Jul 2025 12:39:36
Good for him but until a club pays what liverpool want he's staying put.
18 Jul 2025 12:41:29
Oh well, Bayern can now deal with that ungrateful motor mouth father of his as well.
18 Jul 2025 12:43:23
Agreed a price with Liverpool then have they?
18 Jul 2025 13:05:05
All about money! Rat.
18 Jul 2025 13:11:17
Well when the club accept an offer I’ll happily drop the w@nker and his ungrateful gobrubbish father at the airport! If you won’t die for the shirt then you don’t deserve it in the first place! ???.
{Ed001's Note - woah surely that is a bit out of order, especially right now.}
18 Jul 2025 13:20:26
Well out of order some people need to think about what they are saying.
18 Jul 2025 13:22:54
Bit out of order full stop.
If they can earn more money elsewhere . its what they are paid to do . so be it.
He always put in a shift and worked hard for the team . played where asked . no problem with the lad at all if he can earn more elsewhere . not exactly a downgrade in club stature is it?
In any case . if BM bid 80m . then have to say we should take it especially if we have no intention of offering or negotiating a new contract.
18 Jul 2025 13:28:04
The general tone of this thread is pretty disgusting.
Remind me what does YNWA mean? Not stand for, mean?
18 Jul 2025 13:31:49
Pressed send too soon. Diaz has his personal reasons. He has always put 100% effort when he wears the shirt. It is not a crime to move away from Liverpool. If anything it creates a space for someone who does want to play at Liverpool. Let’s cut down the toxicity. This season is hard enough for the team and fans.
18 Jul 2025 13:36:36
Didn’t take long did it for people to forget the tragedy of what’s happened recently.
Think about what you’re saying mate.
18 Jul 2025 13:41:01
He’s on low wages for a player that has just helped his team win no 20 and also had his best season to date for the club, the club clearly has other plans/ ideas or it would make sense to sit down and renegotiate a new contract based on the above, yes he signed a contract and that’s that but why not reward a player based on achievements when he only 2 more years to go, I’ll be honest if I was on the same boat I’d probably feel undervalued too, good luck to him if we get 70-80 million for him.
18 Jul 2025 13:43:38
I don't think moving to BM can be considered to just be about the money. They are perennial winners of their league and can challenge in the UCL. Not to mention experiencing different leagues and cultures as a footballer must be of note. If he were off to the middle east that would be different.
Good luck to the lad. Almost all of us would move for £270k a week.
18 Jul 2025 13:47:22
It’s just the way it’s been engineered imo! I don’t mind if stays or goes but do it with some class! TBH it’s more his family I guess! Not Diaz himself . Maybe my rat comment was a bit much! Apologies.
18 Jul 2025 13:48:27
I’m hoping some of these posts aren’t from Liverpool fans!
18 Jul 2025 13:48:43
I repeat, we have some terrible fans on here.
What unpleasant, small minded sordid nonsense gets posted.
How do you know Slot hasn’t said “Wirtz and Cody will get minutes ahead of you, so will the new striker we buy, so maybe a new club isn’t a bad idea, we will play all stubborn in public to bump up this price, and we’d love you to stay but you’re now quite a way down the starting pecking order”.
Footballers have a window to earn money, he’s been here, won loads of cups, gave his all every game and might now move to another club, are we that emotionally damaged we can accept that?
18 Jul 2025 13:51:05
Gents there needs to be more of an element of calm and decorum when writing on here.
Some comments are truly grotesque.
For the record LFC have agreed terms with Ekitike and have not agreed terms with Frankfurt yet either so this is not unusual,
18 Jul 2025 13:52:36
Sometimes I just don’t get it.
18 Jul 2025 14:02:26
We just need to be able to ignore Buffoons like Schultzy. Ignorant post.
18 Jul 2025 14:04:38
Yeah why blame diaz. Its liverpool who put him up for sale? He is not forcing a move out. Liverpool want to sell him.
18 Jul 2025 14:07:19
I think he’s handled himself quite well. His arl fella is a bit of a tit but show me a dad who isn’t when it comes to wanting his sons dreams to come true.
18 Jul 2025 14:13:44
I said a few days after the tragic passing of Diogo that things would soon get back to "normal" on here. Sadly I've been proven right. I'm hardly the new Pope, particularly when it comes to my opinion of Nunez, but I like to think I choose my words carefully, if sometimes with a sprinkling of sarcasm.
18 Jul 2025 14:14:37
We never know the full story. To pass that kind of judgement on any of the players based on what we hear from click-bait journos and rumour sites is frankly ridiculous. Passing judgement on their family is just as bad imo.
Not sure what he's apparently done that shows 'no class' he's consistently shown class and desire on the pitch, and helped get us over the line. If he wants to go earn a f. ton elsewhere, fair play to him, I'll still sing his song.
18 Jul 2025 14:15:25
Man, what is wrong with some of you people? Your sole interest is the "sports entertainment" you get on the weekends. For these players it's their livelihood and setting up the best possible future for their families, which every single person has the right to do. You would do exactly the same, if you were in their place.
And if Diaz has gone this far, believe me, it's not without the club's knowledge and approval. It's the club's business if they want to pay Chiesa (and others) double what Diaz is earning.
18 Jul 2025 14:16:37
Good luck to the lad. He’s never let us down and, as we were saying all last season, contr@cts should be sorted out one way or another two years in advance, the club seem to be doing the right thing. At 28, his value is probably at its peak.
18 Jul 2025 14:33:25
These are people, not property owned by you. This rhetoric of hating anyone who seeks to move is so weird. They also have lives to live, so let them live it.
I love the club but come on, the be all and end all of life is not Liverpool FC. Always remember this is a game at the end of the day.
18 Jul 2025 14:35:34
Magico has gone all Yoda.
18 Jul 2025 15:04:23
Sincere apologies all - in hindsight a completely wrong word which I meant metaphorically?☹️?.
18 Jul 2025 15:10:43
Absolutely staggering. This is why I steer clear of the site during the transfer window - far too many once a year posters talking rubbish. I’ll be back when the season kicks off.
18 Jul 2025 15:15:02
Awful comment in this thread, should be ashamed.
People have to accept lads want to move on, for whatever reason. He’s worked hard for us and we’ll get a fee for him. Would’ve like him to stay, but wish him the best.
18 Jul 2025 15:31:02
Was going to post earlier but was too disgusted with the original few posters. Leave that type of nonesense and diatribe for twatter or whatever other medium you use. But not this place.
Awful.
18 Jul 2025 15:31:16
Just think, for Christ sake!
Surely your brain clicks into gear at some point before you hit send and you think, probably shouldn’t write this.
When will people ever truly learn the art of respect!?
You can have your favourites, you can even have those you aren’t a fan of, but seriously, these are people at the end of the day, doing a job. Yes a job they are paid well for and yes a job we all want. But it is still a job. They have big decisions to make, for themselves, their families and their careers. They don’t deserve dimwits sending slanderous comments or treating them with disrespect.
Choose your language more carefully in future please, and understand that there are still a lot of people mourning here.
Lucho, good luck, whatever you decide to do and thanks for getting me off my chair screaming deliriously on so many occasions.
YNWA.
18 Jul 2025 15:39:01
To be fair, Schultzy, it wasn't a particular word which people found offensive, it was the whole text. I suggest you read through it again and see how the wording of it, at this particular time, may have caused such anger.
18 Jul 2025 15:43:09
Aside from the fact it’s speculation, there’s no issue here. If Bayern offer a fair amount he leaves and if not he stays. The fact he agreed an amount offered to him doesn’t make him a bad person. Stuff like this happens all the time. If he goes and we get a good fee then thank you for your service and we move on, if not then Diaz stays and that’s fine.
18 Jul 2025 16:01:27
We beat BM to the Wirtz signing and they might end up with Diaz but some on here are still whining.
I don't think Diaz or his father have done much wrong and I don't reckon he was getting a new contract anyway.
Good luck to him, I say.
18 Jul 2025 16:03:54
As the self-appointed best poster, the No.1, I have to say you have made yourself a pariah, along with that lad, sh******, BasementOldFellow, BLANK and [redacted].
18 Jul 2025 16:17:34
It's the modern football fan.
Isak wants Liverpool the fans "he should hand in a transfer request"
Dias wants to leave the fans "dirty rat"
I love the club and the players but at the end of the day they work for the club. Some stay some leave but while they wear the shirt we should support them and when they leave wish them well except when the play us.
18 Jul 2025 17:00:19
Shultzy apologised, no worries all good. Diaz versatility will be missed as well as his song. He’s been a crackin player for us. Rodrygo as a replacement would be a great addition to the young talented squad we’re building.
18 Jul 2025 19:15:09
Would take forfana over rodrygo all day, Diaz has been a great servant and I’d love him to stay myself……and until Bayern or Barcelona stop the low balling and pay up…he stays for me. I’d still buy forfana though.
18 Jul 2025 19:23:02
I really don't understand some posters, players come and go from us and to us, that's how it works.
If a player gives his all for 3 years and moves on he gets my thanks and good wishes, for representing the club.
18 Jul 2025 21:05:44
Diaz made clear at the start of the summer that he'd like to stay at Liverpool. He's getting paid a lot less than he could elsewhere ( no matter which rumour you believe), and the club took a stance when they decided not to offer him a new contract at the age of only 28.
It was a slap in the face, and Diaz felt it. The club quite rightly acts as a business, but Diaz also has the right to expect to be paid like his peers, especially as footballers have such a short career.
The club are basically putting him in the shop window, and we have scouted ( and got excited about ) potential replacements. He has given everything for the club, and was super close with Diogo Jota.
To be angry at him leaving is just mental.
