Macca being one and potentially Gakpo.
Huge interest in both, big big figures being banded about.
Semenyo is very close, Guehi being renegotiated, know more next week.

Wow, thanks Carra. Think your namesake Macca would suit Spanish football better and we would still get top dollar for him from one of the Madrid Clubs. Hopefully, get Stiller in to replace him, which could free Grav up.

What is the obsession with Chiesa?
Clearly not good enough, he has had chances in the team and didn’t take them? He is injury prone, and is not rated by the senior management staff at the club which is enough for me to think we should let him go back to Italy.

Shuges55 that is the worst take i've seen all season. Chiesa has given drive energy and direction when he's come on in games. He's performed well and way above the players that he replaced. The " chances " he gets to start games are in the league cup with a mixture of fringe players and under 23s playing out of position.
he's had a far better season than most who start games regularly . So he stays its Salah that needs to go. He should ever have been given that contract last season.

Exactly what chances did Chiesa get? Maybe Slot just doesn't like him or what he brings, maybe his fitness is just not at a level where he can play a lot of minutes regularly, but to say that he got ample opportunity to prove himself and that he wasted them all is just nonsense to me.

“Obsession with Chiesa” clearly with the fact that most times he’s appeared he’s done well and Slot, who currently seems inept refuses to give him an actual run.
I like Macca and Gakpo, happy to keep them but wouldn’t lose sleep if they left.

If gakpo goes. that doesn't mean we will start sniffing round Gordon again does it. . can't imagine Newcastle would love us knocking on their door again.
Not too bothered about macca going . think we could replace . not cheaply . but replace for sure. Nice tidy little player but just too slow and lightweight for my personal liking n a midfield player.

Macca has just been too inconsistent, and would be better suited to a slower league. It’s interesting though as we don’t get linked with many centre mids.
Getting Wharton out of Palace won’t be easy, and there’s rumours of Baleba going in Jan to Man Utd. Maybe we’re being forced into a move before those players join other clubs.

As much as Semenyo would be an amazing and exciting signing I think that Guehi is the bigger need. Would love to see both arrive in Jan.
Interesting regarding the possible outgoings. I have been expecting Macca to move on (probably to Madrid) but Gakpo would be a surprise to me.

Those potential sales do not surprise me. The Macca one has been talked about a lot here already with Real keen.
With Gakpo, he was never really an Edwards type forward anyway. Not sure who would pay big money for him though. Milan showed interest in summer had Rafael Leao moved on.

I know some have a dislike of Macca, but on form, he is one of the best, minus the theatrics.
He is probably better suited to a slower league, and as a latin man, he will obviously end up there.
Elliot and Wharton may be better suited to our needs long term.

go . Yeh he’s a bit predictable in his play but he always gives his best and can score .
It’s a shame about Macca too but if he wants to go we should definitely cash in on him .

Cant believe the negativity towards Macca and maybe him leaving. On his day he is one of the best around. Like a lot of others he hasn't had a good start to the season but struggled with injury and looked good vs Real. I for one hope he stays.

If Macca chooses to sign a new deal and stay then great. He's an excellent player and brings a lot to the group.
But equally, if we cash in on him to bring more legs, physicality and verticality to our one-paced team, then you can understand the thinking.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Cody Henry ?, but the lad seems to have hit his peak and is rather predictable (he always cuts inside) .
MacA is also a good player, does a lot of the graft, but he can’t stay on his feet long enough.
With Cody potentially on the move I have to wonder if we’re changing our lineup and going 2 up top.

Gakpo does get the occasional goal but his first 3 shots go into Row X
Plus he makes the same move every time, easy to read, needs to up his game alright.

Gakpo serves up the numbers, but is he the best for the big picture of how the team should function as a whole? If he is to be sold, that would surely be the reason - its much more nuanced than just saying, he scores goals so keep him.
Besides, i support the club - players come and go, some are 'loyal' and some are just passing through, but none of that matters, its just life.
