Both Iraola and Glasner are suffering really bad runs of form at the moment, which should make those two less likely than they ever were to get the step up to a club our size. If Arne goes anytime soon, which I don't think he will unless we get hammered by Arsenal, we'd surely have to go big with the replacement.
Who's got the personality and ability to take this forward, and could be available at the right price. The only remote option I can see right now is Alonso, the likes of Conte, Inzaghi, or Gasperini may be attainable but probably wouldn't be a good fit for Edwards and Hughes.

Personally, I've now seen enough evidence.
Slot's coaching team is lost.
If the hierarchy have any courage at all, now would be the time to show it. A title winning club, that spent colossal sums of money, looks shot, and has the same goals scored and conceded after 20 games as Brentford.
For the love of the club, please replace Slot now, we are so much less than the sum of our parts, compared to the likes of Brentford, Sunderland and Villa, and that's down to the coaching. Someone else will be able to get more out of them, even Szobo looks defeated now.
Repeatedly picking players in terrible form - Konate, Gakpo and Mac Allister I'm looking at you - drags everyone down over time and that's what we're seeing infect everyone.
Missing players is unfortunate but it's more than that; they lack fight, almost as if they sub-consciously want the manager gone. Let's hope the Arsenal game isn't too ugly though.
NB How late did they know about Ekitike? Must've been late as they've named 2 keepers on the bench, could've called up an academy striker (like Will Wright) if they'd known earlier?

9 unbeaten sounds good on paper. But in reality it's not all it seems . Let's break it down.
Beaten . Wolves at home , a terrible team who will go down as the worst in EPL history. And they nearly got a draw. Westham, a terrible team who will do down and are the only team this season to be beaten by. Wolves. Brighton, on there best day are ok. Spurs who are an awful team who nearly got a draw with 9 men .
Drawn . Leeds, a team who will fight relegation until 3 worse teams drop down, twice. Once when there was a 2 goal lead with little time left and once at home in a limp tame effort. Sunderland, a team who haven't been in the EPL for a decade yet came to Anfield and were the better team. Fulham who are ok but finishing 8th will always be their best season.
I may have missed one. But that's a run of games against a run of teams who at best are average and at worst would struggle in league 1. Scrapping draws and snatching wins by the odd goal is NOT progress, it is NOT an improvement . Its awful . We play crap, dull, tepid football the way Slot demands it. The players are desperately unfit due to the drop off in fitness training the last few seasons. We can't run, we can only pass sideways, there is zero threat up front. Its a shambles and nothing to be able to keep your job over.

Opinion:
FSG will wait until the end of the season to make a comprehensive assessment of the season as a whole. Everything will be assessed, including Slot, Hughes, Edwards, coaches, players.
This is the correct sensible business minded way to do it.
Knee jerk reactions are only likely if something happens to damage the brand or we can no longer achieve CL qualification.

You think the clubs going to trade n a manager who is 1 of only 5 to ever win the league in a debut season for a Glasner or an Iraola?! Come on, get a grip. Unless Slot finishes outside top 5 AND Alonso becomes available, he's not going anywhere.
I said it before and I'll say it again, nobody in the hierarchy gives a rats ass about whether or not we think the tactics suit us or find the football entertaining. They want results. And all things considered, high number of transfers, drop in form, injuries etc. we're doing just about enough to check that box. And when it comes to the owners, we're not Abu Dhabi we're talking about FSG here, they've been very frugal over the last 15 years. They didn't just throw 450m at the club last summer expecting to buy the league, the books were balanced, the transfers were due. They're also well aware that every season is not going to bring silverware, their model is long term financial sustainability and revenue growth, simple as.
Nobody gives a damn what you think about the style of football so long as the boxes get checked.
I say that as somebody who's been calling for Slots head all season.

I'll also stick with Slot while we are not losing. The football is a tough watch but the results are not dire. We were two minutes from a competent result against a good PL team. Losing 2 points because of a worldie doesn't actually fall on Slots shoulders.

So we're at the stage where the measure of the club is the thin line just above or below mediocrity. If the football is so irrelevant why watch it.
May as well just look at the league table once a week, if we're top 4 thumbs up, otherwise thumbs down, same process again each Sunday evening.
Following the logic, weekly performances also become relatively unimportant just the position in May regardless of how it's obtained is the key. If that's football evolution it needs a big bang.

I hate wanting Arne to go, but i have to be truthful i have lost confidence in him and his staff . I feel for his family for the pressure they must be under and not living in the UK so they can not be here to support Arne .
