So we're 2-0 down and I made the mistake of going onto the live chat, first time in god knows how long. Well that was a mistake lol things are not going our way but my god supporting the team no matter what and all that? everybody says it when we're winning almost every game, suddenly true colours show when we're going through a rough patch. To the so called supporters on the live chat, calm yourselves down, it's a football game and we're Liverpool, we support them through thick and thin and the good times will come again. It's not the first time we have had a rough patch and certainly won't be the last.

Aside from the current score, I hope all Eds and posters are well.

And the this group vs that group division continues. Salah, you might want to keep that same energy for the main chat as well. There is good and bad in equal measure both on the live and main chat. But dropping in from a hiatus and acting holy then thou only adds to the toxic atmosphere that has set in. If people want to vent then let them vent. If people think there is nothing to worry about and everything is fine, FSG and Klopp have made no mistakes and the players are just going through a tiny dip in form then that’s also fine. Or you get those on both sides of the fence that’s also fine. This is a football football forum after all not a I’m a better fan than you for not showing any emotions to the performer and results we have seen from the start of the season until now being February and still going. Let’s respect everyone’s opinion or views on the current situation irrespective of our own. These performances are disgusting. Have been for too long to be a dip in form. We had best in the world players in several positions and now Alli is barely in that conversation. This team has decayed and from the looks of articles emerging from within the club its starting to mould from the inside out. Something definitely has to change and a new manager is not going to cut it. After Real dump us out our season is done. Hopefully we avoid Europe or conference so we can put all efforts next season into being contenders again. if we manage to sign players to improve this shambles of a team in the summmer.

I go on the live chat and I vent. What of it? That doesn't mean I don't support the club. There's nothing wrong with venting and there's nothing wrong with being frustrated at the current state of affairs with the club. That doesn't make us bad fans and it certainly doesn't mean we don't support the club. All of us want the club to succeed. All of us have different opinions as well. There's nothing wrong with that. I don't see any abuse on the live chat and when there are the occasional trolls, they are typically ignored. I admittedly abused Mr. Bean when I responded to a post of his without reading it fully and I apologized for being a dick. It happens. Just because people vent on the live chat doesn't make them bad people or bad fans.

There's always a tendency to overreact after yet another shocking defeat, which is exactly what I'm doing. But, for the first time, I'm wondering should we lose the derby and then get taken apart by Real Madrid there may be a parting of the ways with Klopp. Never thought I'd think it, and I may feel different in the morning, but something would need to happen should that occur. I have forever posted "at the end of the storm" etc, but I'm trying to think of another club in the world who would allow this to continue.

Like I say, I may think different tomorrow and will be at the games I mentioned.

On a side note, I was at the Wolves when they stuffed us 4-1 back in 1980, we recovered from that, so, every cloud.

I will back this club to the hilt and I hate the fickleness of fans today when they love a player for years until he has a bad season then just want to get rid of him. People have such short memories.
It’s very frustrating at the moment I do get it but I’m concerned that we will turn the atmosphere toxic around the club and push Klopp out which would leave us in a hole we won’t get out of for a very long time.
I’m choosing to be positive and stick with it as I know that Klopp can do things that other managers just can’t even if he isn’t showing it right now.

It's in the nature of the beast. The main page gets moderated and edited closely by the Eds. We all know it's impossible to edit or restrict the flow of a live chat, except to ban certain trolls who eventually find a way back.

If I can put it loosely. The main pages are as what the Eds would like them to be. And the live chat is basically as how those who are chatting would like them to be. If you know that, then it's easy to navigate through both. I do.

Similar to stone, I vent on the live chat albeit infrequently - (I never say klopp out as I don’t think that’s the solution) but I regularly have a go at lazy players …keita featuring often, (although I’ve defended him lately not because he deserves it, but because I genuinely think, at the moment, he gets into our best midfield 3, which is upsetting) I do think fans are allowed be upset, I think we all are seeing a club we love declining, that doesn’t mean the super positive posters are better fans. Those who defend and uplift no matter what are entitled to do it. But sometimes to support someone (something ) you love you have to call out harsh truths, not turn a blind eye. Right now, I think every proper supporter knows something more than shouting positives on chat forums and in the stands needs to be done - new players/ new tactics/ new owners/ better doctors/ better back room/ new manager? I don’t know - but some action is required, we are playing woefully. So let’s accept the negatives right now, as I think they probably have a point ( at least some of them)

Like JB, I've had a go at players and especially FSG. I will admit I am squarely in the FSG out camp. I appreciate that we won trophies under their stewardship but they've done about all they can in my opinion. They are trying to run Liverpool like they do the Red Sox and it just doesn't work the same. I'm a lifelong Red Sox fan but I can't support them any longer the way they've treated my first true love LFC. Maybe an overreaction on my part, but I'll accept the criticism.

I’m not burying my head in the sand Mark I just choose not to call for the managers head. He’s shown over a period of 6 years he’s the best in the business it seems stupid to me to sack him after a poor 5 months.

Give him time and I think he’ll turn it around.

I get the frustration but for me it’s way too early to even consider changing manager.

Relegation is just silly that’s a massive over reaction after 2 poor results. We won’t get relegated.

However if we are still performing like we are at the end of the season then the question has to be asked if Klopp has lost his Mojo and is capable of turning it around.

If that is the case then I fear for us because we had no right to be challenging where we have been for the last 5 years against the richest clubs in the world and we won’t get back there unless the new owners have very deep pockets. If we even get new owners.

We could be back to where we were before Klopp, hoping for a top 4 finish each season and on the managerial merry go round, signing bang average players and hoping for a miracle.

In Klopp we have a proven winner, I agree it’s not acceptable at the moment but let’s not bite our noses off to spite our face.

Whilst I’m not saying I’m right and you’re wrong a few replies from me.

I love Klopp but i think it’s blinkered to say he’s the best in the business. I’d def say he’s one of the best though.

Couldn’t agree more that he can turn this around given time.

It’s definitely been more than 2 poor results.

I fear for us if Klopp goes and FSG stay. And that’s not a dig at the owners but more at their model. I don’t think any other manager in world football could have done what Klopp did with the model we use and if he goes then I can’t imagine another world class manager coming in because they all demand big budgets.

Best case scenario for the club is Klopp stays and turns this around. FSG finding a buyer is a problem for another day.

Changing manager changes nothing. There isn’t one manager currently available who can change this. Any new manager still has to work with the same players and under the penny pinching hand to mouth strategy of FSG, which was shown this week by David Lynch to be actively holding the club back because of FSG accelerating loan repayments to themselves. The only answer is FSG have to go as this will carry on like this until they gave finally relinquished control, and not to more of the same like HBSE or Pagliuca.

Sitting round and singing kumbaya isn’t going to change this mess we’re in. This hasn’t happened overnight, this is years in the making. How many centre midfielders in the last four years have we signed? One.

For a team that relies on energy and physicality in midfield that is negligent. That’s on the owners and their rigid application of their hand to mouth policy, a policy which looks even worse by the revelation from David Lynch that FSG accelerated repayments of the loans they made to the club which has apparently had an affect on the amount that could be spent on transfers.

The answer isn’t sacking Klopp, if that happens who takes over? There’s not exactly an inspiring list of potential candidates, neither of Pochetino, Tuchel are remotely good enough and Gerrard or Ljinders would be a fast track to relegation. The only answer is FSG going, no part investment or whatever, just getting out of our clubs, they’ve taken it as far as then can, but now it will only get worse and more toxic the longer they stay in ownership.

We should have used the summer and January window more effectively but failed massively. For all the talk of how many options we have in midfield, we can’t put together one single combination that either protects the defenders or supports the attack. Rot starts at the head of the fish, that’s FSG and it’s time for them to go and go swiftly.

I mentioned the 2 poor results as although we were not performing to the level we are used to until the Brighton and now this game I didn’t see many people calling for Klopp to be sacked.

Now it seems that there is a clamour for his head because of those 2 results in particular. Don’t get me wrong those 2 performances are not acceptable and he has to take responsibility for them. He has to take responsibility for the season as a whole but that does not mean that we are better off without him.

I think sometimes people have difficulty in taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture. People live very much in the moment and see that we are playing poorly and want to make a change to get instant results. Unfortunately it just doesn’t work that way.

This is the same guy we were lauding as an honorary scouser only 6 months ago but now we want shot of him. That to me is just madness.

It's been a while. and I'm not sure if you've been on the site just reading, but I don't think it took you too long to realise what you've walked into. a lot of hate on here right now

I just hope that you stay and contribute to this site, it's been very toxic of late but I guess Klopp and this team have spoilt us over the years, and we've turned into little moaning brats as a result because things are going the way we want them to.
