Match made in heaven, sorry meant Devon.

Without sounding impatient ….

But it’s the 19th July.

Surely the board need to produce Iraoloa with players no in pre season which ultimately helps him.

I do find it really bizarre whether there’s a World Cup or not before it after it. I think the process is inefficient and I don’t get what they are doing.

I don’t care who they wanna get. I’m just talking about filling those holes as quickly as possible otherwise what have u been doing since Jan.

This club is bizarre when it comes to transfers.

Squad and coaches fly out to America tomorrow with first game next Saturday.

League season doesn't start for another 5 weeks though.

You remember the Rodgers era? Just signing players because you can?

It gets you nowhere.

We are targeting top, top players, it takes time and you are more likely to fail. That doesn't mean it's not the right way to go though.

0

19 Jul 2026 15:26:26
I'd expect the next couple weeks to be very busy, wouldn't worry about it.

3

19 Jul 2026 15:29:22
Not many teams have signed players and we have signed 2 players so far, though I know one was agreed in Jan.

The transfer window always starts slow during a major tournament, I am sure, from tomorrow onwards, we'll start hearing and seeing more movement.

1

19 Jul 2026 15:39:15
If it's true and we're looking to sign Barcola. He's literally just starting 3 weeks hols so signing him now doesn't affect pre-season.

It'll be similar for people who went out a round or 2 ago.

1

19 Jul 2026 15:55:43
Post Klopp... chill out... we have to get the right players, not any players.

2

19 Jul 2026 12:53:38
With AI being fluent in Spanish, as is Victor, considering that Hugo is out til Jan. and Isaac probably won’t, Nunez would be a good free stop-gap with no language problems and no Slot issues. Value should increase; sell in Jan makes sense with the current ridiculous over-inflated prices and lack of available players.

19 Jul 2026 13:13:23
What does it say to players joining us if we buy someone only to sell them 6 months later? Would he agree to go? Would another club agree to buy him and pay his wages? It's not as simple as buying someone then expecting it to be easy to get rid of them 6 months later when they are no longer useful to us.

5

19 Jul 2026 13:13:42
Not a good sell to Darwin though. Come in for 6 months and then on your bike.

3

19 Jul 2026 13:25:24
What has speaking Spanish got to do with anything?

5

19 Jul 2026 13:29:05
I think we need to realise that we are dealing with real human beings with their own lives and expectations instead of a simulation on a video game.

8

19 Jul 2026 13:38:53
I think the 6 month shout is to appease the fans who don't want Nunez back. Unlike me, I'd pick him up at the airport.

3

19 Jul 2026 13:52:04
Nunez barely spoke a word of English, so a Spanish coach would, in theory, be much better for him. But I doubt we will go back to Nunez.

1

19 Jul 2026 14:00:50
Way too much FIFA been played.

0

19 Jul 2026 14:02:28
Maybe Nunez still has the same issues that he had under Klopp and in Saudi.

The club won't sign a player for six months to appease the fans.

1

19 Jul 2026 14:20:24
Nunez was here for 3 years. I assume he speaks at least good English as a result. If he doesn't, then I'd question his commitment.

1

19 Jul 2026 14:58:51
There's a reason why we got rid of Nunez.
Because he doesn't know the offside rule and he's not very good.

3

19 Jul 2026 15:13:26
Too much Champ, man, I think.

0

19 Jul 2026 15:58:15
AI fluent in Spanish, who'd have thought that, eh.

19 Jul 2026 11:37:30
Watching Konate in first half for France last night made me feel even more positive about the new season.

AI's comments on bringing back the Anfield magic also exciting.

A few more signings in key positions (RB, CDM & W) and we'll be ready to go.

Roll on new season. YNWA.

Gotta say, he had some terrific games for us, but also some nightmares. He was the kind of player that was incapable of having a steady 6 or 7; he was either a 9 or a 2.

Probably his stand out performance was when he got man of the match in CL final v Real, and UEFA mistakenly gave the award to Courtois.

4

19 Jul 2026 12:55:44
Yeh, was super in that game in fairness.

0

19 Jul 2026 12:56:59
Agreed. More 2s than 9s in recent seasons though.

2

19 Jul 2026 13:52:54
Upemachano is twice the player Konate is and it showed yesterday.

2

19 Jul 2026 14:03:28
Upamachano was garbage yesterday.

1

19 Jul 2026 14:22:53
Upemacano was garbage, but Konate was worse, which is why he was hooked at half time.

I honestly don't know what's happened to him. He has become an absolute liability after improving season on season up until last year.

He always had a bad moment in him, but now he looks like he's got no idea how to play the game.

0

19 Jul 2026 14:24:06
Terrible player Konate. Always was.

1

19 Jul 2026 14:37:30
Thought Lacroix (Crystal Palace) and his defensive partner were mediocre too. He's on the verge of joining Alonso today, both never won a tackle between them, Lacroix played the 90 mins.

Rogers and Lacroix going to Chelsea makes me even more confident that we have the best Basque manager in the PL for the many seasons to come.

"Dick" Emery, the Aston Villa manager, reportedly wants Gakpo to replace Rogers for circa £50 Million. Bournemouth signed a Spanish forward last week, Alvaro Rodriguez. Does that suggest one forward is leaving Bournemouth, one of either El Kroupi or Rayan?

0

19 Jul 2026 14:38:09
Upmechano is the reason France scored 2 of their 4 goals! He was not garbage under the circumstances compared to Konate!

2

19 Jul 2026 15:30:33
Great player Koate, should have been put him on half a mil per week to tie him down.

Seriously though, he was an absolute donkey of a thing on even a good day, watching him was like playing Buckaroo, he had the potential to kick off and do something unhinged at any moment, glad to see the back of him.

Mukiele Sorry fat fingers.

19 Jul 2026 11:09:07
Does anyone know when the likes of Vvd, Wirtz are back in training?

0

19 Jul 2026 12:20:15
Apparently all World Cup players will get a minimum 3 week break.

One podcast said that Dutch players and Wirtz return half way through the week after the squad go to US on tour.

0

19 Jul 2026 12:28:21
Wirtz tomorrow and the Dutch contingent on Tuesday.

19 Jul 2026 14:49:42
Pity they never followed Harvey Elliot and reported back a full week earlier, especially having had a full season off under Arne Slot, and especially one being the current LFC club captain?

What a fillip and example to the current players and academy players that would have been for the whole club and the new manager/staff to come back a week earlier, showing that last season was hopefully a one off never to happen again?

0

19 Jul 2026 15:29:28
Agree 007, I'm super annoyed Macca is choosing to play in a World Cup final tonight rather than come back for a cheeky lactate test.

1

19 Jul 2026 15:32:28
Elliot should have reported back on the 25th of May. Chap looks like he's been on the Hagen-Das diet.

0

19 Jul 2026 16:38:22
Are we looking at the same player? I've looked through most of the training photos and Elliott does not look overweight in the slightest.

19 Jul 2026 10:58:00
We probably should be really looking into buying Said El Mala of Koln. Another 19-year-old, and scored 13 goals and five assists in Germany last season.

Dortmund, Brighton, Newcastle are reported to be very interested so would be cheaper for us to buy him now than paying one of these 100m+ in a year's time. 🤣🤣🤣

9

19 Jul 2026 13:20:02
He's been mentioned over a month ago by myself and others.

0

19 Jul 2026 15:32:56
Winger doing well in the Bundesliga, you say. 🤔

19 Jul 2026 10:41:10
Welcome back Ned. Glad you are back into the swing of things. YNWA.

Ed001
Mills would be a good shout for RB in my opinion.
Do you know if we have looked at him as an option and would Sunderland be willing to sell?

0

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - Mills? I can only think of Mukiele you could possibly mean? If so, we had a lot of interest in him a very long time ago, when he was a youngster, I don't believe we have considered him since then. Sunderland would sell for the right price, they are not in a position to just flatly refuse big offers for any of their players due to SCR requirements.}

0

19 Jul 2026 11:49:14
James Milner can probably still do a job there.

2

19 Jul 2026 11:38:56
Mukiele is correct Ed, sorry mate I have fat fingers. Thanks for the response I would say him or Kayode were the ones from the prem to look at.

0

https://liverpool-rumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_Ed001.png avatar{Ed001's Note - I do like Mukiele but I think his time to move to us has gone.}

0

19 Jul 2026 12:23:12
Careful, mate, no doubt mentioning the words fat will offend someone.

They'll need to find a safe place.

7

19 Jul 2026 12:47:45
As a fat man, I take offense to that, JK. It's a lot harder to fit into a safe space when you're fat!

6

19 Jul 2026 13:25:12
Kayode just signed a new deal until 2031, so would require a huge bid to get him out of Brentford.
