What do you think is the hold up with Isak? In terms of decisions being made on club and player side? From the outside surely NUFC must be thinking about that PSR cloud and having second thoughts. I assume Isak too is considering the move, as asides us who else would he go to come next summer Barcelona? can't help with his age etc just a hunch but surely that must be playing on his mind. Stay at NUFC and maybe win another lesser trophy if such or come to Liverpool and compete for the major honours. All very interesting to say the least, really nice for us to show that position of power and go out and attack the market as well as keeping Mo, Virg etc.
One more if you could too Ed mate, what do you believe the club are hoping to happen with Konates situation? Do you think they know he wants to leave next summer for free and are just really stuck per say due to play power now? Seems so odd we wouldn’t try and get rid or so on but maybe that is as you have described before player power now being more important than it ever has been.

Don't see the hold-up here, personally. Newcastle don't want to sell so we are where we are re: Isak. We have essentially moved on with Eketike in the event that Isak does not come to us. It is what it is.

I have to agree with Ed007. Do you seriously beleive Liverpool have the league wrapped up before a ball is even kicked in anger. Yes we may be a lot of people’s favourite to win the league, but l hope Arne and the players don’t have the same attitude. Newcastle are a team that deserves our respect.

Above poster, in jest I know, mocking the league cup. Personally, I prefer the league cup to the FA cup, what do others think?
I think that with fa cup final being on some weekend as pl cheapens it, I also think the games come at key point on season, that it feels a bit of annnoyance, if you’re deep in and trying to win the league or avoid relegation, it is kinda gets in the way. I prefer that the league cup is more refined and concluded within the first part of the season and that it helps keep the squad fresher!
{Ed025's Note - the League cup is the FA cups poor relation MOT, it does not have the history or prestige of the greatest domestic cup competition in the world mate..

I meant more changes in the sense of, has Isak become abit unsettled and does want to leave etc upon hearing we are ready to go big for him. I understand Newcastle are remaining firm per say but seems a lot of articles lately are us being prepared to spend for him. So more a case of i was pondering the question to say has he become abit unsettled and due to NUFC high asking price he does want to go but they are valuing him too high? Hopefully that all makes abit more sense. As said i fully understand NUFC situation, as keeping a special player like Isak is more than likely detrimental to their success unless an adequate replacement is found which is rare in this market.
Ed with regards to Nunez would the club be happy to keep him as second fiddle if no suitable offers arrived for him, or do you see him being gone at the end of the window regardless.
