After the dust settled slightly. How is our best midfielder being shoved to rb yet again. Grav was poor, mac was invisible. Szob is just too good to play at rb for us. That's not to say he doesn't excel there because he looks like a natural but we miss him so much I midfield it's a joke. Why couldn't Curtis play rb?

There are BOT many positives to take from today at all. First half we were dire, second we were better than them and lost 2.1 over the half.
Manager need to go and move on salah and gakpo we lack threat from the wingers and so it's easier to mark our central threats.

Got to agree with Molby to be fair, and Frode, Salah had been missing for 4months before he was missing for a month! I know he has been brilliant for us over the years, but for me, the years are catching up on him!
Just my opinion, but the midfield is a more important area than right back, we weaken the midfield by playing Dom at right back!
{Ed078's Note - I'm struggling to remember when Salah last had a good 90 minutes. Yes, he can do great things at times, but those times are fading into history. I know many will not agree, and I respect that. Far greater footballing brains than mine will also disagree.
Simple question: If you wiped your mind of his stats and impact over the past several years, if we signed a player in the summer who performed like he has this season (I would go so far as to say the past 2 seasons), would he be a definite starter, or would you be asking for your money back?

On the "not a liability" point Molby - maybe check the first City goal again when he gets caught ball watching and leaves Silva miles onside. Or the ridiculous decision to pull Haaland back when the game was already gone to get himself suspended for a tough away game at Sunderland.

Agree with ed78 salah is offering nothing now and as a rb behind salah are going to struggle as he offers no cover, it's a sad sight but he needs to go in the summer.

{Ed025's Note - i think our clubs might have different goals Mfahmee, we are fighting to get there and you are trying to stay there mate and its hard work for both of us, the expectation is a lot higher at Liverpool though as well it should be being reigning champions..but you are not making a very good job of that..

Sadly Salah is finished as a Premier level force. He must know that too by now.
Szoboszlai is no RB as he proved yesterday by playing Silva onside and then tugging back his mate, Haaland and picking up a cheap red. The ball was always going in the net.
Needless fouls all over the pitch by us yesterday was almost as annoying as the dire first half performance.

The problem being is he is a bloody midfielder and our best midfielder too.
