Linked wingers. Which two should we go for?
Diomande - 19, Leipzig, estimated price £85m
Toure - 20, Hoffenheim, estimated price £30-40m
Alikouche - 24, Monaco, estimated price £50m
Barcola - 24, PSG, estimated price £70-£80m
Trincao - 26, Sporting, estimated £52m release clause
Yildiz - 21, Juve, estimated price £75m
Minteh - 21, Brighton, estimated price £40-£50m.
12 May 2026 09:05:31
Diomande and Yildiz would be my picks.

Are we going for two wingers?

Barcola is the must have. Proven it time and again in the Champions League.
Minteh too raw, Trincao too old and not the required level (likely no sell on value after a 5 year contract).
The others I don't mind.

Stats are very impressive for Trincao, mind, across all competitions. Rarely injured as well. Even Traore impressive in his first season. For me, the summer budget should be Diomande and Barcola. If Salah, Chiesa are going, we will need two wingers imo.

My eyes popped open when I saw those prices. But I guess 80-90 million today is the equivalent of 40 million 8-9 years ago when we bought the likes of Mane, Firmino and Salah. Hope that whoever we buy plays at their level.

Diomande and Fofana.

Barcola is the must avoid for me. That price is crazy too.
Diomande and Toure.

Diomande and Conceicao from Juve (not in the list) would be my picks.

Diomande and Yildiz would be nice... Barcola, I wouldn't mind, but he is sub a lot.

SLOT just wondering what does the Cara The Fields Robbo in your opinions. Do you think slot will really go and if so who do you think will take over?
12 May 2026 00:10:12
If Xabi Alonso takes the Chelsea job, for me that muddies the water, meaning he is unlikely to be LFC Head Coach at any point after Chelsea, in my opinion.
That said, LFC do not have a vacancy at the moment, so Xabi of course has the right of employment.
12 May 2026 00:40:32
Wow.. impressive and so inciteful at the same time. 🙄

A vacancy can always be created if the current manager is not up to scratch.
I would imagine our next manager will be Xabi Alonso with his contract starting on June 1st.

With the 3 bozos we have at the helm, I really think we are in the most unpredictable of times, in easily a decade. Nobody really has a handle on what's going to happen. Only hopes and wishes.

IDream, the vacancy should have been created months ago.

I take it that the Mbappe Rumours are a delayed April's fools joke?
What I will say is you cannot deny the guy's goal numbers are impressive.
Surely we will be looking to add another striker, with Hugo out until 2027, and Isak never too far away from getting injured.
It would be nice to see Will Wright get some action off the bench, preferably once we have confirmed our CL place.
12 May 2026 00:58:54
Many videos talking about Mbappe and his ego at PSG and now Madrid. I personally never want him near the club for those reasons.

We have enough players that feel they don't need to put a shift in. We don't need another.

12 May 2026 08:21:17
Agree, Keegan's. We've got enough ego at the club already with Michael Edwards.
Agree2
12 May 2026 09:42:34
How does Edwards demonstrate his ego? Genuine question, do you have examples of his demonstrating his ego?

Hit pieces on Klopp via his media boys, overblown credit for Klopp's success again by the media boys, changing the job title to Head Coach to assert control, leaving because Klopp's influence was growing, setting a list of terms to come back.

I have the privilege of working within the sport for a company that works with the semi professional leagues. I was given the task of evaluating the Liverpool vs Brighton FA Cup match from February this year as a case study. The majority is boring industry talk however I thought this could be good for you guys to read.

Not ITK, but I've heard that a Slot is opening up for someone to Slot in. Make of that what you will. Catch ya later.
11 May 2026 22:28:15
I must admit it’s getting exciting watching all the news flying around. Adults getting all bitter, twisted and excited as the ITKs say one thing and a journalist whom gets things wrong a lot says another.
I’ve never seen such a divisive management situation between the club and the fans.
Anyway, regardless what Ornstein or any of the other paid journalists say to gain attention, clicks and keep Edwards happy, I still am convinced that the info on here by Carra and VGD is accurate and Slots going and either Alonso or the Bournemouth manager come in.
So much so I’ve placed a £5000 bet on Slot leaving with the bookies. Can’t wait to get my winning bonus and watch Florian cry… both wins… sorry Florian couldn’t resist.
12 May 2026 04:21:28
What were the odds on that Retire, can't be very good, I would imagine?
Agree0
12 May 2026 07:18:38
What "leaving at any time"?
Surprised the bookies took that bet, as the probability he will leave one day is 100%.

12 May 2026 11:54:54
No bother, retire. 😆 Send us a pic of the bet. Some man risking that much.

11 May 2026 21:34:39
Slot has lost the fans. I'd ignore what Ornstein says. It wouldn't matter what wingers Liverpool were to sign, Slot's style of play doesn't require a battling DM and that's what we are sorely missing.
Cheers.
11 May 2026 21:47:38
Thomo, I think that's wishful thinking on your part.

11 May 2026 22:01:10
Grown men actually listening to journalists paid to report nonsense by the club... Sigh.
Agree7
12 May 2026 00:02:18
Slot's style does require a battling midfielder, and he had that at Feyenoord. And he had fast and direct wingers. He had that last season but not this season.
Is that Slot's fault?
Agree1
12 May 2026 00:57:59
Slot refused to use Endo, who is the epitome of a battling midfielder. Now, of course, he is injured, so it is moot.
Agree3
12 May 2026 03:02:22
Of course it's Slot fault
He could have used Endo (as already pointed out), keep Grav as DM just like last season, or work with some other squad player or academy guy to fill up the gap
Instead he preferred to give away free days to the squad for fun and then f off to Netherlands every given time
Baldie amateurish fraud. And don't get me started with lack of man management and his apalling treatment of our academy and homegrown players
Agree3
12 May 2026 12:29:01
Mad, isn't it, that most of us know that we need a strong midfield to battle in the Premier, yet all we hear is this winger is being looked at. If we know what's needed, why don't the people getting paid millions know it, we have Bert n Ernie running the show.
